"We love walking down the long hallway of Portuguese-inspired Bar Henrietta—the smell of their generous bifana and coiled grilled sausages wafts out of the kitchen of this two-level wine bar on swish Laurier West. The aromatic gin and pine liqueur cocktail and a bowl of the Manchego-dusted popcorn with pimentón is a good way to start off. But afterwards, go with the affordable wines by the glass and bottle—they’re frequently local, and there are some revelatory Québec and Ontario wines (a pinot noir from L’Espiègle was a recent hit). photo credit: Alison Slattery photo credit: Alison Slattery photo credit: Alison Slattery" - Ivy Lerner-Frank
"This Portuguese-influenced tavern replaced once-upon-a-time cocktail heavyweight Baldwin Barmacie in 2015, and it takes its drinks just as seriously. Consider ordering the Rosa, made with gin, honey vermouth, hibiscus, and lemon, or the Robert, with bourbon, grapefruit, Aperol, apple brandy, lemon, and bitters." - Daniel Bromberg, Valerie Silva

"With its long bar and extensive (and tasty) small plates menu, this Laurier West bistro offers a compact menu well worthy of exploration. Start with manchego popcorn and ease towards ceviche, polenta, or a charcuterie plate and end with homemade sweets." - Ivy Lerner-Frank
"In the Laurier Avenue space formerly inhabited by Baldwin Barmacie, Henrietta serves up small Portuguese bites featuring cured meats, seafood and cheese, in a classy space that has a touch of art déco, and a touch of upscale Euro-hotel to it." - Tim Forster, Heather Vandenengel, Ashley Joseph
