Slo Lyon les Pentes

The hostel is located right in front of the Pacquet metro station but it is actually just a few minutes away from the opera and Place des Terreaux. The staff was very nice and spoke English easily. The private rrom we book was spacious and we slept well. The shower, however, was small and the curtain had a not-so-good magnetic closure. Good enough for a few days. There were no small towels provided though. There are coin operated lockers on the basement to keep the bags. The vibe was overall chill and young. There was a bit of noise at night, I guess typical of hostels and people going in and out at night. And there were only two towels provided, not so handy to dry and wrap around long hairs.|We did not try the breakfast as there are options around. |Overall, it was a great location for a fair price and would stay again!

Location is great, easy check in/check out. Paid luggage storage for 6€. Rooms where really spacious and clean The stairs are really steep up to the different levels so be prepared to carry your luggage We paid extra for the breakfast buffet and I would 100% recommended. Heaps of food and great value for money. Only let down I would say is the showers. The toilets are great but the showers themselves were dirty and had significant water buildup as well as mould in the grout.it was very quiet so I’m confused as to why they are so dirty. Kitchen is usable but quite dark and small. We struggled to cook for 2 people. The hostel was lovely and quiet, not a place you would go looking for friends as it’s a lowkey chill vibe

What a brilliant hostel with an extremely friendly team. The hostel has excellent coffee and is extremely well located in a great part of Lyon with loads to see and do in the local area. If I had any negatives it would be that the Cafe does such good coffees you get a lot of locals working and studying from the site. Making it hard at times to find a table. I would not hesitate to stay here again. What an amazing hostel in an amazing location! Keep being so friendly and helpful team Slo!

Overall, the place is good and the location too. The service is not that much. There was a problem with the window in the female bathroom and the window was always open. In a city with negative degrees outside, you can imagine how freezing was the bathroom, a place to take a shower. I've informed the staff at the reception and it took 2 days to do something that didn't fixed the problem. Also to note that the hostel didn't have any activities that could allowed to meet people at the hostel, besides the site shows movies nights and so, nothing happened.

Great central.place to stay. Walkable sights and public transport nearby. As a hostel it can get a little restless in the corridors in the middle of the night, although not to crazy. Staff friendly and happy to help/ advice. Amazing breakfast all you can eat buffet for €9

One of the best Hostels you will come across. The location is very convenient for the whole city. The beds are comfortableand and bathrooms are constantly cleaned. Ιn the entrance area there is a nice mood. At reception, they are ready to answer your every request. A forgotten t-shirt was found from the bed in the room and arrived at my accommodation without delay. Thank you Gabrièle!

Warm welcome and helpful staff throughout my stay. Beds had plenty room for my 6”4 height as well as lights and sockets. Cafe was well priced and food was good. Only thing is could do with comfier (softer) seating to rest in after a long day exploring the great city.

Uphill location in quiet area. Easier to use C6 bus from Part Dieu station than metro. Good kitchen with an oven. Very useful. Very secure with double key arrangements. Team friendly, great stay
