Out of the comic book shops in north Brooklyn, this place is the best when it comes to a mix of indie and mainstream titles. Also has a weekly newsstand rack that’s up to date.
Besides a ton of graphic novels and newsstand, there are a few boxes of older comics and collectibles but Comic Book Station, a few blocks away, has more if that’s what you want.
I also appreciate their toy and figurines- from Mha, Aot, to ninja turtles and marvel. A nice mix dead stock and nostalgic reissues.
I’ve been coming here for a few years …. The owner is chill and knowledgeable.
Today I had a bad experience with a new front clerk. He was ignoring customers while he was talking to his buddy and giving spoilers for the new weekly comics stand.
I asked him if he could add my name to the receipt , either as a note in the POS or I could make an account - which I’ve done with tons of other bookstores and comic shops. He was rude about it and didn’t even try.
Other than some poor customer service sometimes, this place is a gem!
