"Oromo Cafe, Lincoln Square. There's a few coffee shops in Lincoln Square—The Grind being a favorite—but the newest to the caffeine scene is Oromo Cafe. What makes them different is that they're nutty about milk, literally. They make alineup of house-made nut milks, free of artificial sugars and blended with "superfoods".The proprietary milks, made daily, start with the raw base nut—pistachio, pecan, almond or hazelnut. After a good night's soak in filtered water, the nuts are blended, thenmeticulously strainedbefore adding a touch of vanilla and raw organic coconut sugar. They're servedstraight or withaddedspices, herbs and fruits. Some interesting concoctions are made from this like themaple maca, pecan latte and an espresso flavored with pistachio milk and rose. Their pastries and cakes are also not to miss."
