A New Death & Co. Cocktail Bar Is Coming to Seattle’s Pioneer Square | Eater Seattle

"A cocktail bar chain that helped define the cocktail-renaissance movement in the 2000s—known for the Oaxaca Old-Fashioned and its tattoos-and-suspenders aesthetic—has finally chosen a Seattle home. I note that Death & Co., which first opened in Manhattan in 2007 under CEO David Kaplan (now a Bellevue resident), plans to open in Pioneer Square’s RailSpur microdistrict, joining Renee Erickson’s Sea Creatures pizzeria, brewery, and restaurant; a press release said it planned to open "next year," and the report lists a target opening of summer 2025. Kaplan said he was drawn to the alley entrance, sense of discovery and destination, the neighborhood’s personality, and the space itself, and he expressed excitement and humility about introducing Death & Co. to Seattle and collaborating with local hospitality neighbors amid Pioneer Square’s historic, speakeasy-evoking brick buildings." - Harry Cheadle
