"Paragliding in Zermatt After 20 minutes on a series of gondolas, we arrived at the top of Rothorn peak and walked over to our take off point. My friend, Hera, turned to her guide and said, "Uhhh, I didn't realize I would have to run off of a cliff!" "It's more like walking off of a hill," he replied soothingly. He wasn't just being cheeky. After the initial shock of getting airborne (it was a hill leading down to a cliff, to be fair), the rest of the flight was incredibly peaceful. Our guides gave us a few roller-coaster-like spins (after asking permission of course) to compliment the tranquility of floating through the air, while the slow descent allowed us plenty of time to enjoy our view of the Swiss Alps. As novice snow-boarders, we needed extra activities like this to allow some rest for our snow-beaten bums, but even if you are an expert skier/snowboarder, make sure to take out some time away from the slopes to enjoy the breath-taking view from above. Paragliding in Zermatt has been, without a doubt, one of the best experiences of my life. The views were so breathtaking that they didn’t even feel real, it was like flying through a postcard. Seeing the mountains from above was simply magical. Now, even days after doing it, when I think about the experience, the images come back to my mind so clearly. I know this will be one of those beautiful memories I will cherish for the rest of my life, especially in such a wonderful place as Zermatt. It’s truly a unique experience in an incredible destination that everyone should visit and experience at least once. Michael, the instructor I flew with, was super friendly and professional. He was constantly checking in with me, making sure I felt comfortable and that everything was going well. He always asked if I was okay, which made me feel very safe and relaxed throughout the entire flight. I felt great during the whole experience and I 100% recommend it. It’s something I will never forget.

Witnessing the Matterhorn while standing on the ground is MAGIC. Experiencing it while floating through the skies with Zermatt Paragliding’s awesome pilots Michael, Thierry, and Mario… it was exhilarating. We had an amazing time. Zermatt Paragliding is a Class A operation. Everything about the experience was wonderful (booking, communication, logistics, safety, and the flight itself). What an epic way to celebrate a birthday! We went paragliding in Zermatt for my dad’s birthday, and it was an unforgettable adventure. Thierry and Michael were phenomenal pilots—confident, professional, and clearly very safety-focused, which made it easy to relax and fully enjoy the experience. They balanced adrenaline and reassurance perfectly. The views over Zermatt and of the Matterhorn were absolutely unreal, and this will be a birthday memory we’ll talk about forever. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure or twice .

Michael is hands down the coolest man in Zermatt — and the best person you could possibly fly with. Not only is he an incredible pilot, he’s actually from Zermatt with deep family roots here, which makes the whole experience feel even more special. There’s truly no one better to be in the air with than Michael himself. I’ll be honest — I was absolutely terrified going into this. Paragliding is very off-brand for me, but Michael made me feel completely safe and calm from the moment we met. The flight was unbelievably smooth, and before I knew it I was actually having the best time. It ended up being one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re even thinking about paragliding in Zermatt, fly with Michael. I’m so grateful for the experience and can’t thank him enough!

I had an amazing paragliding experience in Zermatt! The flight was breathtaking, but what really made it special was how friendly, professional, and helpful the mike was. He made me feel comfortable and safe from start to finish. We even exchanged numbers and hopefully to meet again soon in Dubai — that says a lot about the kind of person he is. Paragliding in Zermatt has to be one of the most memorable (and unexpected) ways to celebrate my birthday. Michael was an amazing guide, professional, knowledgeable and just a really nice person to spend a couple of hours with. Words cannot really do justice to the views over Zermatt and the Matterhorn and I even enjoyed catching a few thermals and some tricks on the descent. I cannot recommend highly enough.
