Yuca's is a celebrated taco shack in Los Feliz dishing out delightful cochinita pibil and hearty burritos, complemented by casual roadside burgers.
"We can talk about the asada. We can talk about Yucatan pork. But I’m gonna talk about a burger. A burger grilled on that same grill where they make… the asada. And the Yucatan pork. Is it the best double cheeseburger in Los Angeles? If you were to tell me that, I’d say, 'Give me your hand.' I’d say, 'Give me your hand in friendship.'" - brennan carley
"Yuca’s is more than just a tiny roadside stand, it’s a neighborhood institution that’s been serving very solid cheeseburgers and cochinita pibil since the 1970s. Their classic roadside burgers are nicely on the griddle, and you can get their citrusy stewed pork in a handful of ways, like a taco with pico de gallo or a hearty burrito with pinto beans that requires two hands. A meal at Yuca’s isn’t necessarily life-changing, but it’s a tasty option for a quick roadside lunch and a must-try-once experience if you live in or around the Eastside." - Sylvio Martins, Brant Cox

"The cochinita pibil is the move at Yuca’s, this celebrated Los Feliz stand. Stewed pork marries wonderfully with the stand’s beans, all mixed together inside a pliant and delightful flour tortilla." - Farley Elliott
"Yuca’s is a James Beard Award-winning stand that’s been serving excellent cochinita pibil tacos and Yucatán-stye tamales to its community for the past 45 years. Now with a second location in Pasadena, this family-owned operation still makes their shredded pork stew that’s moist and dripping with achiote and citrus flavors. Instead of the usual pickled red onion on the cochinita pibil, Yuca piles on a pico de gallo salsa for added brightness against the rich pork. The tamales arrive stuffed with minced pork filling and bright tomato sauce, the soft masa covered by ladles of an acidic tomato-onion mixture." - Sylvio Martins
