YogaWorks Main Street

Seems like the majority of instructors at Yogaworks give you only verbal cues just walking around the room. Pretty much no demonstrations that I have never been to yoga studios like that before.

Very spacious and clean interior. Despite facing a main street, the entire studio is pretty quiet. Showers in the back w/ changing areas. Parking's an issue but there is free street parking at certain times. They usually have free community events and the prices are reasonable. I only took one class w/ a senior instructor and he was pretty experienced.

The classes here tend to be very crowded and incoming students are very noisy. In the summers, the room can be stifling- extremely hot. If that’s not your thing, try another studio. I have found afternoon classes less busy but every other time I go here over the years, I think- never again. Clearly some people must love it and I’ll leave it to them.

Sad to hear that this space will be closing its doors at the end of October 2022. So many brilliant teachers have passed through here over the years. Been going to YW since there was just the one studio on Montana Ave. Miss the days of mat to mat crowded classes when we were so grateful to be able to practice. And so ends an era…..

This yoga works has some of the best teachers around. I can only attest to level 2 and 2/3 classes, which are almost always strong power flows, probably not the best for true beginners. Some classes get too packed for my taste, mat to mat with students on the stage, so avoid classes that say "walk in only," if you're like me. My favorite teachers are Tiffany, Sara, Caley, and Chad. I also want to commend their membership team. I had an injury that made yoga off limits for months, and they not only froze my account, but were accommodating with an extension when I was unable to come back after the freeze period ended. Much appreciated.

I keep trying to stop getting their emails. I finally quit going to yoga here after my friend complained that she was harassed by a teacher and it was not taken seriously. I stopped going to classes before the pandemic, but I keep getting emails. I don't know if new ownership has bought old customers contact info, but it's unrelenting. I stopped going as often myself because it just stopped feeling like a warm welcoming environment at multiple locations. Then with my friends problem, enough was enough.

This place is great. I looked all over the place for a yoga studio that's just right - not too uptight and snobby, and not too "out there". This place really does rock: it is clean (major selling point for me), reasonably priced, and conveniently located next to my favorite coffee shop on Main Street. What else? Also, side note, always glad to not be the only dude in a yoga class... and I (almost) never am here :) Great place, go!

Was in town for two weeks and tried two yoga centers. This was my least favorite. Pretty crowded and charges for mat rental on top of the already pricey yoga. Warning to pita people and others who like cooler air during practice: the room gets Bikram hot and sweaty, especially in the evening classes when there are more people.

My experiences with what I'm reading are very much alike...Do not sign up with this people They will absolutely keep taking your money, even after you speak to them and cancel... At first no-one returned a call... Finally, someone picked up a phone saying it would be taken care of.. I stopped getting schedules..They now say I never cancelled, since they do not have that in their files For over a year, I have found they have been charging me...When I confronted them, saying I stopped last August, they gave back one month. . As of yesterday, all of a sudden I am receiving emails about new other classes... how disreputable... and rude, especially during these difficult times..

I love YogaWorks!!! I've been doing yoga for 8 years and have tried a few different studios but no where compares. Every single class teaches me something new about the practice or history of yoga, how the body works, alignment, etc. I've genuinely never had a bad experience here. The teachers are so knowledgeable and the staff is so friendly. I'm so happy they're open again.

I had similar experiences to what I'm reading in the reviews. I was charged for a monthly membership after I ended mine because I moved out of state. I could not get in touch with anyone at YogaWorks even though I left several messages, and they continued to deduct money from my account. I was finally able to stop the payments and get my money back from my bank, not YogaWorks. This is not a reputable company.

Do not sign up for the online classes... they will take your money and run, and not work with you to get a refund. They have extremely poor communication and are not professional nor fair to customers. I do not recommend Yogaworks. No wonder they closed the location in my city. This company is poorly run.

I took yoga here for almost a decade with mainly white instructors who really had no idea about where yoga came from or what it was. I endured a class with a particularly horrible older male teacher who was a bully. I'm so glad to have found authentic yoga at My Yoga Teacher where yoga truly is a sacred space and practice for all, and is grounded in the ancient tradition from India.
