If you want to taste authentic rice noodles and have a near authentic Hong Kong experience, this is the place to go! It really made me miss Hong Kong Chang Fen! We ordered the shrimp and lettuce Chang fen, beef and lettuce Chang fen, and mushroom and shrimp Chang fen. We also ordered a cold Hong Kong milk tea and some curry fish balls!

Reliable and consistent for a quick eat! I always get the dough stick rice noodle roll. The youtiao is light and crispy, and the cheung fun is soft so the texture of both makes for a perfect bite. The workers are always on the move so it may seem hectic when walking in, but when you're seated it's easy sailing. You order through your phone after scanning a QR code on your table, and the food always comes out hot.

No frills restaurant that offers Chinese comfort food. The interior is a bit small so be mindful when coming in as a group larger than 4 and definitely no room for strollers. They do have highchairs so do ask! The congee and cheung fun remain the same in quality and is very satisfying. Not too salty and tasted fresh.

Yin Ji Chang Fen was a great last meal stop before leaving GTA. A few people have recommended us to check it out and I can see the hype for it. We ordered a few rice rolls, congee and dessert. I am giving this restaurant a 4/5 because there were some hits and some misses. But the hits really did hit, though! All the rice rolls we got were on the soggier side (instead of the slightly elastic/stretchy skin) but we figured it's because we ate lunch at around 2:30 PM. R04. 韭黃鮮蝦腸粉 - 6.50 This is the shrimp and chives rice roll. The shrimp was pretty good and this was overall a good rice roll option! The soy sauce made it taste better and enhanced the shrimp because of its lightly sweet flavor. This is the classic rice roll option and I'd recommend it. R07. 韭黃叉燒腸粉 - 6.25 This is the BBQ pork and chives rice roll, which wasn't worth getting. I didn't like how dry the BBQ pork was and it was pretty flavorless. I had a couple bites and didn't want more of it. R19. 韭黃火鴨絲腸粉 - 9.25 This is the roast duck and chives rice roll. While it's much more expensive, this ended up being my favorite one because the roast duck was so good. I thought it was perfectly seasoned with nice, juicy skin. And the duck meat was tender. I'd highly recommend splurging a bit on this one. C9. 皮蛋瘦肉粥 - 6.75 This is the shredded pork and preserved egg congee, which is truly a Cantonese congee classic. I really like the texture and consistency of the congee, and they give you a good amount of pork and egg here. If you don't like cilantro like me, definitely ask them to remove it if possible, otherwise your entire congee will taste like it. Other than that, it's a solid congee. It's nothing mind-blowing, but for this price, it hits. SW1. 生磨芝麻糊 - 5.99 This is the black sesame paste dessert, one of my favorites that my mom often makes when I'm home. Unfortunately, the one here felt short. I thought it was too watery and didn't have much of that nutty black sesame flavor. I think it could be a preference problem, so if you prefer that, give it a try. SW3. 蛋白杏仁糊 - 6.75 This is the almond paste with egg white. While this one was a bit too sweet for me, you really do get a strong almond flavor and the texture was thicker which I preferred. Definitely a good option to go with your meal. Good food options here, but you'll have to figure out what you like and don't like. Good luck!

Food came quick. Ordering is done through ur own device!!! There were system errors but they will add the dishes to ur table. The waiters were constantly walking around to help clean up ur empty dishes or help. My family enjoys eating here. We try something new every time we go.

We love chang fen (rice noodle rolls). Chang fen is one of the nostalgic classics that the hubby and I grew up with! Love it! Steamed plain, filled with meat/ seafood, or wrapped around crispy Chinese fried dough, the rice noodle rolls were soft and silky. The congee here was pretty good as well. People in Toronto are so lucky for having "Yin Ji" all over- they do chang fen the legit way! Cash or debit only.

Used to get take-out here all the time -- and delivery during the pandemic. Came here for in-person dining for the first time in 3 years, and it has gone WAY down hill. Why? 1. No tea or water offered anymore. This is basic for Chinese cuisine dine-in. 2. Tables were messy and dirty. It took us a second to figure out which tables were cleaned and which were not... Some tables had hand sanitizers others didn't; some had condiments and others didn't... all tables had the same condiment tray holders but what sat on them were inconsistent across the room. They gave us 2 menus -- one had soy sauce stuck a corner. 3. Wrong item served. We ordered a beef & shrimp rice roll noodle. It arrived at our table and there was clearly no shrimp in it. We did our due diligence and checked the order number on the menu (R01) and also looked through the noodles to be sure there were some tiny shrimp hiding in there. We then called server and the first thing they said was "Are you sure?" And made us toss the noodle around as they witnessed us checking. Then they took it back in, asking "we should cook you a new one right?" Um, OF COURSE YOU SHOULD. Were they going to re-serve the same dish (after it was touched thoroughly) to another table?! Were they just going to cook some shrimp and serve it on the side? 4. Reduced food quality. I totally understand that the pandemic has been hard, and pricing had to increase to cover skyrocketing ingredient and operating costs... so I don't mind paying more. And Yinji also increased their prices accordingly. But their food quality still has taken a down turn. That beef & shrimp rice roll noodle? The correct one came out. They give you 2 rice noodles. It's their standard serving. However, there was only shrimp in the top noodle. The bottom one was a beef-only noodle. Sampan Congee (艇仔粥"tang jai jook"): Their version today was just a congee with assorted and random ingredients -- clearly just leftovers tossed in as toppings. Very disappointing. 咸煎饼 (Ham Chim Peng): This Chinese donut is made with filling of red-coloured Chinese fermented bean curd (南腐乳). It was tiny. There was barely any filling. The breading was dry and over fried. It felt like from days leftover and was dry and crispy. Traditionally, it's supposed to be crispy exterior but doughy and pillowy soft on the inside. Only ate it because I didn't want to waste food. Hong Kong milk tea -- this was the best thing of the meal. 5. Everything was served using disposable dishware: one-time use plastic bowls and cups, foam plates, take-out containers and chopsticks. Very sad to see this. Will not be returning for dine-in. And will think twice even for take-out.

This is becoming our regular spot each time we come in town. The standard is the beef congee (my daughter prefers sliced over ground), my son loves the rice roll, and wife and I normally go between the seafood or the ground beef/ egg congee. Almost can't go wrong with any of their congees and rice roll dishes

Very friendly service. Buy one get one free for daily special selections of congee. Congee taste ok, I like it has lettuce into the congee. Bean spouts Soy sauce fried eggs noodles but a bit oily. Chang Fen Roll is ok. I don't like they use plastic plates and bowls to serve, not my style. Overall not bad but no surprise.

This place takes only debit or cash. Which is not the problem. I'm from the US and we have credit and debit cards ready, but no CAD cash (which I will admit is my own fault). So after eating we tried to pay with debit and it didn't go through because US debit cards are accepted in Canada (according to her). So ok might be a merchant thing, so we tried to pay in USD (because we are trying to pay). She was like ok $1USD to $1CAD... little steep, but ok it's our fault for not having other forms of payment. On the way back to the car, we see a BANK less than 20 steps away. A large bank (CIBC), not a small one. WHAT THE HECK?!?! LADY WE ARE TOURISTS! JUST TELL US THERE IS A BANK INSTEAD OF TRYING TO GYPT US OUT OF AN EXTRA $15-$20.

I love Cheng Fun. With going on keto it's not very often I get to enjoy it so I'm particularly picky about them. Here's what I look for: 1. The rice roll thin but still hold everything together. The integrity of the sheet makes or break the whole eating experience. 2. Good quality filling and not stingy with the quantity 3. Well rolled. It doesn't need to be perfect but the visual isn't great when the roll is messy and the fillings are falling out before one even picks it up. Yin Ji certainly has the number of variations available covered. There are literally 20+ different fillings and combinations you could have. The fillings taste very good and well made. Check. The rice sheets are very thin and have good structure. Check. Can't say they are well rolled though. The dish came and looks like a pile of rice rolls thrown together with the fillings. I'm not sure there's any rolling involved so basically I was eating a plate of rice noodles with meats. The service staff is super friendly and they remind me of my family gathering where everyone speak with slightly above average volume. It bothered a few people in my group but I think that's just the vibe.

The best rice rolls in the city! I first tried Yin Ji in Markham, and I was upset that I had to go far to get some fresh Chang fen. So I'm really glad they opened one in Mississauga and there's a lot of parking spaces and restaurants in the plaza. My favourite order is the shrimp and chives, plain, and the fried baos with condensed milk. The rice rolls are super fresh and made to order. I love how they drench it in soy sauce because I would always ask for extra sauce at dim sum restaurants. The seating is a little tight as the tables are very close to each other. This is also a cash and debit only place. Overall, I need to keep visiting and try their other flavours. I would recommend this place!

Casual, no-frills restaurant serving up some of the best rice noodles ever. Seriously, I don't think I can go back to the regular dim sum rice noodles after this experience! If you come here, you have to try one of their rice noodle roll dishes. The noodle itself is incredibly fresh and smooth, and the combination with the sweet yet savory soy sauce is like absolute perfection. I ordered their recommended "R13 - Marinated chicken slice with chives rice noodle roll", and loved it! It was a nicely balanced dish with a good proportion of sliced chicken/veggies in it. I also tried various congees (nice and thick consistency), HK style curry fishballs (a bit peppery but appetizing), and the deep fried steam buns (tasty little mantous with a side of sweetened condensed milk). Everything tasted great and was something I'd order again. Good spot overall for breakfast or light lunch. I'd definitely come back again for their rice noodles.

Rice rolls are freshly steamed and very smooth. Congee is also nice and creamy, though shredded lettuce in congee may not be for everyone, so simply make a note to remove it when you order. Fried peanuts are fresh, and are a nice addition to go with congee.

Yin Ji Chang Fen offers a large selection of chang fen (steamed rice noodle rolls) & other dim sum dishes at all hours of the day whereas most restaurant dim sum ends by 3pm. The beef brisket chang fen (takeout) was delicious, tasty & tender.

I've been here 4 times now, so I should probably write a review for this place. This is not a place I would bring my friends and family for any kind of celebration. In fact, I wouldn't come here with more than 4 people. And I wouldn't even think of coming here on a first date. The restaurant is tiny and very noisy. The service is no nonsense and efficient. That being said, it's my favorite kind of restaurant. The menu is limited to 3 pages of very basic Cantonese breakfast foods, and they do everything very well. The main stars are the rice noodle rolls (chang fen) and the congee. My partner and I always get 2 chang fen and 1 bowl of congee to share, and we always leave happy with full bellies. The quality here is consistent. The meat used in the congee and chang fen is tender, and the shrimp has a bouncy, crunchy texture. That's why I will keep coming back.

My first experience with the chain is at their Markham location, in which i have reviewed and visited multiple times. A warm welcome to Mississauga! I didnt expect it to be as busy here. I visited on Sunday for lunch and the place was packed. To start off, it wasnt a big space, plus all the people crowded at the door, oh gosh. The wait wasnt too bad. Food came quick and we were in and out to catch our next adventure. Food quality was consistent with the other locations. Cash or debit only! Some locations only take cash!

The translation is kind of weird since it's typically spelled as "Cheungfan" (rice noodle roll or 腸粉). As its name suggests, they specialize in rice noodle rolls but have other hk-style food (as this restaurant is originally from Guangzhou). The rice noodle rolls are the best I've ever had in Mississauga or GTA area. Very authentic, tasty and sauced perfectly, with copious food portions at affordable prices. I especially loved the beef/shrimp rice noodle roll (R1), absolutely delicious! I also had R13 (chicken/chrives) and it was also tasty. I've never seen such variety of rice noodle rolls with all kinds of stuffings/flavours. Do order some appetizers for starters. The rice noodle rolls aren't that big so I'd recommend ordering two rice noodle rolls per person to be completely full. I loved their deep fried steam buns (S5). They were provided hot and crispy and in perfect portions (for 2 people). With the HK Milk Tea they serve (D01), it's simply amazing. The restaurant is more like a fast-casual place. They serve their food fast. It would fit all kinds of food occasions, whether you simply want some appetizers or want a full meal. The only thing I'd say is that their congee is "alright", not the best I've had but not that bad either. The next time I go I'll just stick with their rice noodle rolls, some appetizers and drinks.

Special invite: Soft opening for friends and family. My friends and I were fortunate to have an extended invite from a friend to have a taste test at this brand new location. It is in the same plaza as Akko Bakery, Bubble Republic, No Frills, Phoenix and Dumpling House. Let me tell you, I am very hard to please especially with Chinese food. But I did loved their rice roll, very flavourful versus the ones you'd normally get at dim sum locations. The congee was alright, I'm not a fan of the preserved eggs, it's an acquired taste I guess. The food was very filling. I was stuffed. Menu is very limited. The staff were super friendly and quick. They'd clear your dishes as soon as they see that you're done. Everyone seemed so happy. Overall price - it is a bit slightly higher than other restaurants, but not by much. This place is a must-try at least once.

I understand business are hurting during the pandemic and have had to make changes to survive. It was super disappointing to see all dishes and eating utensils being used were disposable for dine-in. To further add to our disappointment the beef brisket rice noodle rolls only had several small pieces of meat and a couple pieces of cartilage that were not edible. We just didn't see how the $9 price on the rice noodle rolls was justified.

Authentic very good Hong Kong style congee and rice noodle breakfast. Not much of an atmosphere. Expect a lot wait for table because it is always busy there. Would definitely recommend it to friends and revisit again

People seem to really like this place but during covid it was only ok for me. I guess the determining factor was the price to quality ratio was not the best. The quality is very good but the price is also very high. Perhaps I don't know how to order correctly for the most bang for my buck but I paid a lot for some good good. If money is not an issue and you are very hungry then this is the place for you.

This review is based on the food we ordered for takeout and only. In addition, someone else went to the restaurant to place and wait for the takeout order, so I am not reviewing the restaurant experience at all, although the person who volunteered to order the food did complain about how busy the restaurant was that day. This was on a Saturday at about 11:30 AM. For order, we decided on the following: Shrimp with chives rice noodle rolls BBQ pork with chives rice noodle rolls Dough stick with chives rice noodle rolls Pork sliced congee Sticky rice wrap Curry fish balls The rice rolls, cheung fun, seem to be this restaurant's specialty and we ordered a variety of them. The rolls were a step up from the ones you would get at other restaurants during dim sum. They had more filling, and the filling was of better quality. The sticky rice, also a dim sum staple, was also very good. I didn't find the congee as good. Since this was takeout, the food cold by the time we got to it, but that was expected. Overall, the food was of very good quality and the price was fair for what you get. This place is more of a snack place than a complete meal. If I decide to try their rolls again, I will try the dining in the restaurant to experience the cheung fun hot and fresh as it was intended.

My friend recommended this place for a quick lunch. One of my friends and I split the lai wan assorted congee, marinated pork & shrimp with chives rice noodle roll and shrimp with chives rice noodle roll. My other friend, who was a vegetarian, got egg rice noodle roll and veggie rice noodle roll. The place is a bit small but there were enough seats for everyone that were there at the time. The staff was very efficient - bringing the menu, giving us water, taking our order and giving us our food in a very short period of time. Honestly, the congee was average - not too bad, but not the best. However, their strength lies in their rice noodle rolls. The marinated pork & shrimp and shrimp were definitely one of the best, very filling and pretty cheap for the price. I tried a bit of the egg rice noodle roll but compared to the other rice noodle rolls, it tasted a bit bland. My friend who ordered the veggie rice noodle roll stated that she liked the roll. Overall, I really recommend this place for a cheap quick, but filling, meal. Just be warned, they don't split the bill if you were planning on sharing the rice noodle rolls.

A solid rice noodle roll place! I have been to the Markham location and after trying the new Mississauga location, the consistency is there. The congee is good as well, flavourful and the congee texture is just right- not too thick or too watery, pretty smooth. I cannot say they have substantial toppings but overall good portion and you can taste the freshness. The rice noodle roll is the star of the restaurant as it's in the name. The portion size is great and filling especially if you order one for yourself. There are a variety of rice noodle rolls to choose from, shrimp, shrimp and pork, beef, fritter, pork and beef etc. There is pretty much the same number of congee options as well. For those who do not fancy congee and rice noodle rolls, there are sticky rice, and curry fish balls on the menu. If you are looking for a snack, there are typical HK classics like toast with peanut butter or condensed milk. Last but not least, the drinks- there are the usual favourites- milk tea, lemon tea etc. I have not tried the milk tea at this location but the Markham location was good and there were a lot of who ordered milk tea during my recent visit..It likely wouldn't disappoint I'd say. Other than that, during our visit, we did not have to wait for a table and service was excellent. Our food came quickly, it was hot and filling. No complaints there. One thing to note is the shrimp. Don't expect big and sizeable shrimps compared to the rice noodle rolls at dim sum restaurants. Lastly, expect to wait as it does get busy and packed very quickly.

A-ok, like a 3.5*! Very busy cheung fun place that just opened a coupla weeks ago! This location is on the same side as Akko bakery. I've been to the location on Warden (Markham), either before/after Pac Mall, for takeout. Menu is really short, maybe about 2pgs long, consisting of a page of congee + a page of rice noodle wraps. Strange that they didn't have beef/mushroom which I usually order at other Chinese restaurants! Prices are GOOD! Cheung funs were ~$4-6, congees were ~$6. There were also other snacky items like curried fish balls, sticky chicken rice wrapped in lotus leaf, fried fish skin chips, and a section for drinks like HK milk tea, lemon tea, etc. Overall, this place is ideal for either a snack &/or a quick, light-ish meal! Depending on what time you get there, expect a wait. This place isn't very big, so it's crowded. Service is prompt, no pleasantries.

Yin Ji Chang Fen is the place to go for rice noodle rolls. It is located in the BR plaza in the AKKO Cake House strip. It is known as a Cantonese dim sum staple and it is commonly eaten during breakfast or even in the evenings. The menu is relatively diverse but mostly catered to multiple varieties of either congee (rice porridge) or rice rolls - both Cantonese favourites and reasonably priced. The food takes a bit of time to be served everything is made by hand and fresh in house. They make the rice rolls using a traditional hand-pulled method that results in thin yet delicious noodles. There is a secret menu where you can customized your rice rolls at a cost, make sure you ask your server about it! A must-have here is the Hong Kong Milk Tea which comes hot or cold. It is served in a bowl packed with ice which helps keep the drink creamy and cold until you are ready to dive in.

Always excited to try new places! Bf and I flipped some cards and cards have chosen this place to go eat dinner. In the Deer fun plaza, Akko bakery side is where this resto is. Very small and can get pretty cramped so depending the time you go, gl. Especially during the winter when the door opens, you'll feel the breeze from anywhere you sit. Pretty bright and welcoming, many people were working which was kind of surprising to me. I didn't really know what to get so I got chicken congee and beef/chive steamed roll and added an egg to it because the couple sitting beside us had an egg and it looked cool. Never added that before (didn't know it was a thing lmao) so got it this time to try. Idk. Like roll was just ok. The egg made it unique but this wasn't my fav. I usually get beef steamed rolls at dim sum places and it's a little diff here. Chicken Congee was tasteless. Idk if that's just the way it is here. Healthy version?? Might have to come again to see if it's consistent. Even my bf said it was very bland and we had to keep adding salt, pepper and chill oil to add some flavour to it. Our neighbour also got curry fish balls and I love this so I ordered it too. It came out cold. We asked them to microwave it for us but one of the waitress sounded confused which then I think management approached and said they'll give us a new plate and apologized for it being cold (we kept the original one). The new one came out and ya it was steaming! Nothing too special about the curry balls but they were good nonetheless. They only accept debit or cash.

Grand opening with 2 branches in markham! Guang Zhou style rice noodle rolls. Thinner style with tons of different topping. Tried their veggie and it was fresh and good. Flavorful congee and some hk style snacks and delish desserts. Good for lunch or afternoon snack. Try their hot crueller and dough sticks. Small but clean with friendly servers.

Cheap, quick, and DELICIOUS. At about 5 to 6 dollars per item, you get some of the freshest rice noodle rolls in the city. So glad they opened a chain up here in Mississauga. Markham was too far! We always get an order of the beef noodle roll, plain noodle roll, dough fritter wrapped in rice noodle roll, and the Hong Kong milk tea (which they serve In a bed of ice here). Delicious meal for two under 20$ that keeps you satisfied. located in the credit view and Eglinton plaza, this place could be easily missed. So happy to see a Mississauga location after the popular Markham establishment. Pretty much just a no frills congee and rice noodle for something simple and affordable. Great as a snack. Has a good variety of more unique rice noodles than your typical dimsum. The congee is not a super large portion but nice and thick. Rice noodle rolls are super soft and fresh. My go to is the chicken and mushroom rice noodle roll, though you can't really go wrong with any one. I also like that despite drenching it in soya sauce, it is not too salty. Will definitely be a regular if I'm craving this.

Food was ok, service was decent. Todays weather felt nearly 40 degrees and store didn't turn on AC. Had one bowl of congee and couldn't stand the heat inside. Asked for the bill and the waitress told us that the tip we provided wasn't enough because we enjoyed their bogo promo. Definitely won't be going back.

If you're looking for the best rice roll or even craving for an authentic rice roll in GTA, here is the place for you. I loveddddd their rice rolls so much, the crepes were very thin which made the rolls were softer compared to other places. It also looked like it was freshly made bc it burnt my mouth once loool. Bonus, you can add eggs into the rice rolls, i tried and yes it was gooood The congees were good too, and the best was absolutely their Hong Kong milk tea. I tried their Fried Fish Skin when I first came, it was very crispy and not salty ( surprisingly). Service was nice and fast, price was reasonable Why 4 stars? There was one day, my bf and I both had stomachache after drinking their milk tea, which was weird bc we had it every time we were there and it was fine before. Maybe it was just that day, who knows. Will try again and definitely recommend :)

4.5 stars!!! A great find!!! Three locations in the GTA, scarbs, Mississauga, and Markham! It was consistency packed. The space isn't big so we sat quite close to others but it reminded me of the China feel. They gave us menus and we wrote down our orders. We got the slice beef chang fun, dough fritter wrapped in chang fan, and BBQ pork chang fan, and pork and preserved egg congee. This was plenty for the two of us. The waiter gave us tea right away. The food took no time to come! I was impressed with how quick they were. The verdict: The beef slice chang fan was my fave. The meat is so tender. You can tell they marinated it in advance. The chang fan itself was very thin and smooth! I've never had chang fan so thin! The dough fritter was good! The fritter was still crispy and the chang fan, with its thin smooth texture added a really nice flavour. I didn't like the BBQ pork chang fan because the meat was quite tough. I wouldn't order this again and deducted half a star. Congee was delicious! So smooth and flavourful!! Overall the experience was awesome and so cheap! We paid $25 for two people for lunch!!!! will definitely try out the scarb location next time!!! Tip: bring cash as this place only accepts cash or debit!!!!

I was quite excited when I knew yin ji was open in Mississauga. Though they don't make the best rice noodles, being the only rice noodles restaurant in Mississauga it will be always busy with no doubt. I like the beef and pork rice noodles and it's the only one I order every time i go here( so far 6 times). Also, li wan style congee is my favourite, like I always ordered in Guangzhou. Curry fish balls are ok, I don't recommend. Fritter is crunchy and it's the best match with congee.

Decent rice rolls! Somewhat comparable to dim sum, except it's just a bit softer. We got the shrimp and chives, chicken and mushroom rolls, and the minced beef and Lai wan style congee. They have some sweet toasts for a snack/dessert as well. I came here for dinner because it was just too busy and small for breakfast/lunch. I would recommend this place for breakfast for sure! Very affordable for students as well.

This newly renovated and opened March 2019 is a new restaurant which turned into a Famous Guangzhou Rice Noodle Roll dinner. The restaurant offers 16 different Rice Noodle Rolls stuffed with beef, pork, shrimps, fish, veggie or dough stick. Or you can simply order the plain rolls. The rice noodle rolls can also be topped with a layer of egg. We tried the Marinaded beef & shrimp with chives rice noodle roll, Shrimp with chives rice noodle roll, Dough stick rice noodle roll and the Most chicken sliced with chives rice noodle roll topped with egg. All of the rolls were delicious. The soy sauce was the slightly sweet soy sauce which complimented the stuffing in the rice noodle rolls. We also tried the minced beef congee and the sliced pork, liver and kidney congee. The congee surprisingly wasn't bland and had a nice light flavour. We will be back to try other items on the menu!

Loved this place! It's your typical Hk cafe joint, service is quick and dirty and food is delish!! Menu is really simple and prices are reasonable! Def will return and I can see myself becoming a regular here:)

The good - they do their rice rolls fresh, the way they are suppose to be. The bad - it's way overpriced! At $6++ a plate, the eatery is charging restaurant prices, and the atmosphere certainly does not justify it! I would come back, if I have a craving for fresh roll, but it's not a place I would go out of the way for.

Finally got around to trying the new Chang Fen restaurant. They specialize in making chang fen ( rice noodle roll ) but they also serve up lighter snacks and congee. We came on a Sunday late afternoon probably around 3:00P and man the place was still filled with people, luckily there when we arrived a big table was leave so we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The restaurant got a nice face lift and is a lot brighter now and more tables. We ordered 5 different dishes of rice noodles, 2 congees, and curry fish balls. The congee that we ordered was the minced beef congee and the sliced pork, liver and kidney congee. These were very good the consistency was pretty bang on being not too thick or too watery, the congee was also very flavourful not bland. The rice noodles are made very thin and very hard to cut and share as they would break apart easily. We ordered 1 rice noodle dish with the added egg option and it was delicious I think everyone needs to try it at least once to see for yourself. Now the curry fish balls were not spectacular I found that they were under seasoned and not much curry flavour. I hear that next time we should order their fritters next time we go. Feijai out!

Came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was busy but we managed to get seats for a party of 4. Food: 4/5. The congee was light but flavourful, but the rice rolls were the highlight. The texture was nice and slurpy. We found it hard to split the rice rolls as it was impossible to "cut up" the rolls without breaking them. Small pet peeve lol Price: congees are around the $5-$6 range and the rice rolls are around $4-$5. We ordered 2 congees, 2 rice rolls, and 1 order of sweet custard bun and the total came to ~$35. For 4 people this was a great value meal.

A great Chinese joint specializing in rice noodle roll and congee. All of the dishes are served quick and warm. Prices very reasonable. Highly recommended if you are in thr area

This is the, or one of the newest franchise of the Chinese Rice Roll speciality restaurant. That's not the only thing they sell, but has the most number of varieties. Their Rice Rolls are freshly made. I ordered it as take out, and even after something like 30 minutes, the one with donut still taste good....having the right sauce would even be better, though.... As they are brand new but being the ONLY place specialize in these stable food....I hope they will only get better.

Focused, friendly, and affordable was our impression for this experience. The establishment hosted a soft opening with a tasting event. The menu focuses on various specialized flavours for congee, and rice noodle rolls. This limited menu allows them to provide quick service with good quality for each items. The pork and preserved egg congee had a balance of flavour and the egg wasn't overpowering. The rice rolls were also filled with a lot of depth in vegetation, although the rolls came in a very large shape that is quite inconvenient to eat/share. Overall a satisfactory experience, and I'd definitely return for another bowl of congee.

I was born and raised in Guangzhou, Chang fen is an important part of my childhood. Im so glad that they opened up a location in Mississauga so I don't have to travel all the way to Scarborough for this. Not gonna lie, there are better Chang fen places in Guangzhou but Ying ji is definitely authentic and tasty. By authentic I mean there are many different styles of change fen in Canton.Ying ji style is just one of them. I prefer Yingji style than normal dimsum style. The chang fen here is freshly made in house. It is meaty and saucy. Don't forget to try the congee here. It is pretty good . My go to order would be mix pork and beef Chang fen, congee with pork and century egg, milk tea and fried dough. Service here is surprisingly good compare to other cantonese restaurants. They are busy, but they tend to be pretty efficient and attentive . Cantonese serving style is not the best in the world lol, but they get work done fast and get you some good food. This place gets really busy from 10-12. If you don't want to wait in line, you might have better luck getting a table before 10 or after 12.

Soft Opening for family and friends. My friends, girlfriend and I came here for a tasting lunch and we were impressed with their specialty in rice rolls(cheong fun). Although limited in menu selection, the food was delicious. They specialize in their different varieties of rice rolls, congee and appetizers. Everything is freshly brewed and made in the kitchen. I highly recommend their rice rolls(cheong fun) in particular as that is their specialty and once you try it, the regular cheong fun you get at any dim sum restaurants just won't cut it anymore. The staff there are very friendly and attentive. Its a delicious and affordable quick lunch spot.

I typically agree with yelp reviews but I was really misled by the reviews for this particular restaurant. 4/5 stars for a chang fen restaurant that can't even make good chang fen? Just a few things to note: 1 - long wait until you get food after ordering 2 - chang fen texture is horrid. Sticky and falls apart even before you pick it up with your chopsticks. 3 - mediocre service 4 - congee is average, same with those famous curry squid balls (mostly flour, barely any squid taste) If you want chang fen, congee or any of the above, I would go anywhere but there.

I love rice rolls so I was pretty excited to try this place. We went on a Thursday and there was no wait for a table. The portions for the rice rolls were big and they're super filling. My favourite is the shrimp and beef rice roll, the texture is perfect. I like that they have a small menu with just a few dishes that they specialize in. Definitely recommend the fried dough if you're getting congee. I'd come here again
