Yeoville Dinner Club

What a lovely experience and Sanza is a great host. Doing a great job. I was initially nervous to be going to Yeoville but it ended up being very worthwhile. Sharing dinner with strangers from all walks of life is such a lovely concept. It felt like home cooked meals with a twist. Just one issue to improve on is having the welcome intro being done before the food is set on the table because as informative as it is, when hungry all I could think of is eating and kept losing focus from the stories.

I have ALWAYS wanted to experience the Yeoville Dinner Club. It was worth every minute there. Sanza is an amazing host. The food was so divine. I truly enjoyed everything. We had (I think peanut butter) goat, Mozambican snapper, brinjal atchaar, sumac chicken, puff-puff, egusi, amongst others. The drinks were free flowing and delicious. It's such a unique experience and I'll definitely be back. Thank you Sanza. It is opposite Percy's African Food.

The authenticity of the food was outstanding, and hearing the story behind it added such a personal and meaningful touch. It is inspiring to see how Sanza, the food connoisseur, does not only value great dishes from the continent of Africa but also the community behind it..

One of the most incredible culinary experiences I've had in South Africa. Pan African tastes done so beautifully. Incredible drinks. Its nothing you can experience anywhere else. Sanza is the best part of the experience with his warmth and love for Yeoville. Run, don't walk. I can't wait to go back.

Definitely a must-visit! The Yeoville Dinner Club is a private dining experience curated by journalist, artist, self-taught chef Sanza Sardille. The experience transcends any initial safety concerns raised by our Uber driver about Yeoville. The dinner is truly exceptional - freshly sourced ingredients and each day he has different main dishes. Call as soon as you arrive in Joburg to get a seat on his long table. Seats 20 people only.

Ok, this has been hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had. The neighbourhood is not the safest so make sure that you speak to Sanza over whatsapp first to organize yourself. He will pick you up once you get to his restaurant but don't walk alone on the streets. Regarding the food experience and the atmosphere what can I say...You will feel like home and enjoy some of the best food you'll have in South Africa. Sanza will entertain you with his many stories and you will get to know so many people at your table, it feels like a family. Trust the process and trust Sanza! Thanks so much brother for this opportunity to dine in at your home, it was amazing!

Sanza is a very nice host who showed me around in Braamfontein and Yeoville. He has many friends in the neighbourhoods and you can feel his love to this place and the people living there. He has many stories and insights to share. The pan-African cuisines that he makes are spiritual and rich in tastes, just like the diversities and creativity of Johannesburg.

It was a beautiful experience, great host and good company. 10/10 would recommend. Especially if you’re wanting to feel the heartbeat of Johannesburg.
