Overall, good place to eat. Mixed opinion about dishes. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Appreciated the decor, very nice ambience. My husband loved the bento box, lots of flavor and good quantity. Not overly salty. I was looking forward to the Tatsuta Age, crispy ginger battered chicken breast with teriyaki sauce and wok-fried vegetables. The vegetables were lovely - fresh, crisp and not overcooked, but because the chicken was set on top of the veggies (a specific serving choice?), it was quite soggy on the bottom and unfortunately on the top as well due to the teriyaki sauce. I couldn't really taste any ginger either. It seemed the batter needed to be cooked longer, though the chicken seemed done; check the unaltered pics, kind of pale looking batter on edges as opposed to brown and crisp. We would probably try again, but I would personally avoid any breaded dishes.

Decent overall experience — not great, not bad. The Beef Ramen didn't cover my expectations, but staff handled it fast and professionally, replaced my dish. The Japanese-style setting is impressive and authentic. With my global review reach, I’d say Yamamori North has potential, but needs sharper consistency to stand out. Thank you Yamamori North City staff!

A Hidden Gem for Japanese Food Lovers Yamamori North City is one of Dublin’s most inviting Japanese restaurants and a perfect place for families or friends to enjoy authentic food together. For around 200 euros, a group or family can easily spend the day tasting a wide range of dishes, from sushi and ramen to grilled specialties. When you walk past the entrance, you might never guess how warm and cozy it feels inside. The interior mixes traditional Japanese style with a relaxed, modern Dublin vibe, making it comfortable for both lunch and dinner. The food isn’t too spicy, which makes it great for all ages. The ramen is rich and flavorful, while the sushi and rolls — especially the Ebi Dragon — are beautifully presented and fresh. Pair your meal with a chilled Japanese beer or a glass of sweet plum wine for the perfect finish. Overall, Yamamori North City offers great value, friendly service, and genuine taste — a must-visit spot for anyone who loves Japanese cuisine in Dublin.

This is our probably fifth time coming in, we love coming back we always celebrate either our anniversary or birthday here. The service is always great and friendly 😊 And the food is amazing! the pork gyozas are to die for, I always get them and they’re probably the best I’ve had. We will be back again to celebrate another anniversary here I’m sure of it 😁

The most popular Japanese restaurant in Dublin lives up to its name. The decor and ambience gives a very premium feel yet looks cozy. The food is awesome although some dishes seem more a fusion version inspired by some authentic dishes. The staff are nice and very attentive and make you feel welcomed. Overall a must visit if you like japanese cuisine.

Lovely staff, great service, bento special was very good and well cooked, ramen was very poor greasy with kinda stewed beef and onions and noddles stuck together, a full bowl nearly returned not asked why at 28€ i’ I’d expect more, Sticky table etc

Really enjoyed the food, our choices were delicious, fresh and tasty. And they perfectly matched our taste. The place is spacious, the air quality is good. Despite the open kitchen, there's no bothersome smell.

I was very disappointed by the sushi here. The dumplings and ramen were tasty but the sushi was a crime. I ordered a rainbow roll. What should have been simply crab inside was a crab salad in mayonnaise. On top of the roll is assorted fish and then a giant dallop of mayonnaise again. Not spicy Japanese mayo, just plain mayonnaise. Even when I scraped it off, it completely ruined the roll and all I could taste was mayonnaise and not the fish at all. The salmon sashimi was good so I know they had good sushi but they destroyed that roll. Sushi- 1 star Sashimi- 3 stars Gyoza- 4 stars Ramen- 4 stars Ambiance/restaurant- 5 stars Service- 3 stars; would be 4 but the waiter was a bit judgey and kept making disapproving faces at us. Maybe because we were not dressed amazing after coming off of a tour all day, I don’t know. Maybe he didn’t like that I scraped the mayonnaise off.
