Wagyu omakase! It’s soo good, service is great they’ll grill for you or instruct you on how each piece of wagyu should be grilled. I recommend getting the second tier omakase, tons of meat and very filling! We ordered sides of grilled vegetables, cold noodles, and bean sprouts, all delicious but we definitely did not need it, the omakase set dinner itself was SO filling, comes with rice as an end dish

The Japanese Wagyu beef omakase here is priced at HK$680. It includes 8 pieces of meat and a single bite of sushi. The price is reasonable, considering the high quality. Initially, I was worried I wouldn’t be satisfied, but I was pleasantly surprised – it’s almost too good to be true! Truly a great yakiniku experience, living up to the name of the restaurant: Yakiniku Great! 🥩

This omakase meal was melt in your mouth worthy. Each piece of wagyu was delicious and definitely top quality. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable in their cuts of meat as well. Perfect for beef lovers! It is on the expensive side though - especially just for 1 piece of wagyu per each part

We had our son’s birthday dinner at Yakiniku Great. The beef set menu offer great variety of different high quality cuts. Suggest to go with the second expensive 8’pieces at menu. The difference between the most expensive and second expensive is the Chateaubriand, and the sea urchin fired rice. Frankly I think the second most expensive is better value

Truly excellent meat, nice atmosphere, waiters are knowledgeable and friendly - it really makes for a fun and enjoyable dining experience. It is of course a little pricey but that’s to be expected for such quality meat. Nice sake selection to match with the cuts. Recommended.

Top quality meats, very good taste. But rated it 3 star because it was too expensive for an Omakase set. Almost 1k p/ person. Strictly 90 mins dining and no refill on tea.

It recently opened for lunch & quite busy during lunch time too. Wagyu beef was tender & well marbled. Set lunches were good value, while services were good too. One of best offers for lunch in town.

Hands down the BEST yakiniku in town and nearly the BEST I've ever had @yakinikugreat.soho It's pricy but the quality is unrivaled. Probably one of my top 3 FAVOURITE restaurants in the whole city. The service is better than all of the other yakiniku spots in town as well. They take the time to tell you about the cut of beef your eating and how long you should cook each piece. The meat is so marbled and succulent. The perfect meal! if you haven't been yet, make sure to make a trip here! Remember to book in advance as it's usually pretty busy too! I had a really great experience at Yakiniku Great. The food is delicious and the wait staff were really friendly and knowledgeable about the cuts of meat. We had the kiwami omakase as well as the spicy kalbi udon soup and vanilla ice cream sandwich. Pricey meal but well worth it. Definitely recommend if you are looking for your fill of high end Wagyu. Food: 4.5 stars Service/environment: 4.25 stars Overall: 4.5 stars Recommendations: kiwami omakase, spicy kalbi udon soup The kiwami omakase includes 7 different cuts of Wagyu beef of varying thickness from different parts of the cow and different levels of marbling. Each cut is included with instructions on how to best cook and the best way to eat the meat (I.e sauces and accompaniments). The meal ends with the chateau brand cut and a healthy serving of uni over a bed of rice. The sauce it comes with is heated over the grill to melt a small piece of butter. This was incredible!" The other standout was the misuji with tari. Thinly sliced meat from the front leg that melts in your mouth.

Amazing for meat lovers. Yakiniku Great has just landed in Hong Kong and is still in the soft opening stage but this is a promising and delicious BBQ joint for those that enjoy wagyu beef. The space is modern with a funky layout, but the food is delicious. The service is pretty good while they will explain to you how long to cook each cut of meat. Most are so thin and delicious that it only takes 3-5 seconds for it to be ready. We opted for the 8 cut omakase which was delicious and well worth the price. A5 Grade Wagyu at 480HKD? Yes Please! Kimchi and cucumbers were very freshly marinated and crispy and light. Meats and sauces and rice were absolutely heavenly. Great grill technology so you won't smell like smoke and you can also store your bags and coats underneath the seat. I love this place! Bravo.

Came here after just getting into central HK area from the airport. My gf and I came in about 30 minutes before they were about to close and they took us in. The food and service was amazing. We felt like we were transported to Japan. It is a bit pricey but it is definitely worth it!

The best beef/wagyu experience anywhere. I'm sure there may be better or more authentic places in Japan, but honestly speaking I can't imagine anything better than this. I am a beef/steak lover. I grill on weekly basis. Dry age, prime, ribeye cap. I do it all. But I have to say the various prices set for the three different Omakase is worth every dollar spent and then some. This is hands down my highest recommended restaurant - anywhere that I have been.

For a beef lover willing to try new things, this is pretty much as good as it gets. Meat appreciation isn't a complicated thing and almost anyone can do it. If you want super fresh beef that's super damn good, check this place out. Do know that this place is on the pricier side though.
