"It’s hot and dark, and it can get crowded—but honestly, the more the merrier. Thanks to a booming soundtrack of Drake and 2 Chainz and the only light coming from candles, you can neither hear or see other yogis. It sounds a bit corny, but we’re saying it anyway: Y7 makes exercise fun. The beats, the upbeat teachers hollering encouragement, the lack of forced-upon-you Zen mean that an hour flies by. Prepare for a serious sweat and stretch, with a side of convenience. Mats and towels are available for rent at the desk, the lockers are the combination kind, meaning you don’t need to come prepared with a lock, and there are several showers (as well as deodorant, face wipes, and hair ties to freshen up) on the premises. Not a fan. I signed up for their 3 class special and after the first class I didn’t want to go back, but I thought I’d give it a couple more tries and try different styles of classes and instructors. Didn’t like any of the classes. I’ve taken a lot of heated yoga classes and this was an experience I left feeling gross, not stronger or more relaxed. After class the cleaning of equipment is left to people taking the class to use a wet wipe. How do you actually thoroughly clean cloth bands with a wet wipe? That feels a bit unhygienic and combining that with a personal unliking to the style of their classes, I won’t be going back. I also was a bit surprised that the products in the bathroom weren’t more mindful, like nontoxic. The parking lot is small, but I personally never had an issue parking. I can see though that it could be during busy classes.

Google
Great studio! There’s parking, nice heated room, great playlists and encouraging instructors. Bianca especially was great!

Google
All of the instructors at Y7 are amazing, but Lux is my favorite. Her classes are challenging, fun, always guided by great instruction and awesome playlists! I always feel like I worked both sides equally and that her sequences are easy to flow through. Even when things get though she always has words of encouragement. Thank you Lux for being awesome!

Google
Absolutely amazing class!!! Loved the dim lighting, no mirror, hip hop music. Much different than other yoga classes I’ve taken. I loved the vibe - it’s very much “go at your own pace and do your own thing” rather than a competition to do the most & hardest poses. I feel very loose after my class. Complimentary towels, lockers, and parking. It’s also very close to bus stations for buses 2&4. Highly recommend!!! 💕

Google
Cassandra was such a lovely teacher! Equal parts gentle and supportive/motivating! I’m new to yoga and really felt like this was the best experience I’ve had yet. I’ve been hoping yoga could be spiritual, healing and also a great workout without being overwhelming and her class felt like it touched all 3 beautifully!! 10/10 would reccomend. I’ll for sure be back :) thank you Cassandra! You rock! - Josiah

Google
Love this yoga studio. Everything about it. Shoutout to my favorite instructor Cassandra (not just bc we have the same name). Lux is also amazing. But I've never done a class here I didn't love. Well-structured flows, but also room to take agency over how you want to use the time. Love the dark candlelit room. Love the music

Kyle Gray

Google
Super fun and welcoming studio. The Yoga We Flow Hard Class gives space for you to do your own thing in 2 minute windows once the instructor sets the pace and flow. 3 of us went and had a sweaty enjoyable time while flowing to beats in the heat!

Google
I used Classpass, and this place marked me as having missed my class even though I was there. When I checked in I gave the lady at the front desk my name, so there’s really no excuse for this. Classpass charges a $17 fee for missed classes, so this is a really bad thing to do to your customers. You have no phone number so it’s not easy to reach you. Please correct this immediately so I don’t get charged

Yelp
I really liked their flow class because it helped me (a nonflexible yoga novice) memorize flows and forms, get into a pattern, and have a chance to replicate it myself. I have a hard tome The parking lot is HUGE and so convenient. Their facilities are very cute Tip: bring your yoga mat. I forgot mine and rented a towel and mat for 9$

Steven H.

Yelp
First time here from ClassPass. Not for me, or folks who want real yoga. This is more of show up and sweat. Tiny room, little to no space in between you and your neighbor. Half a foot. People chatting and laughing loudly in the yoga room moments before starting. No water fountains - you have to bring your own bottle. Im dying for water and the front desk does not provide cups, only sells water. That's freaking weird dude. Flow itself was nicely guided , it's dark, so just listen and do your best. I'll come back if it's discounted, but wouldn't pay full price for this. Homeless lady outside made sure to keep me on my toes. Back to Roam I go!

Ereny H.

Yelp
I had a great time here, I was really happy at how easy parking was (if you're from LA you know how important this is). Some of the yoga moves were a little advanced and I was just happy the instructor wasn't trying to put me on blast or shame me. She let me do my own thing which I greatly appreciated. It's a very cute little spot, definitely recommend. I just loved that they had music playing that I actually listen to except next time I go I think I might opt out the hot yoga if that's an option.

Megan M.

Yelp
I do yoga and I do HOT YOGA but this was a different spin on my traditional flow classes. I was so intrigued because they played music like hip hop/rap/rnb/pop you name it they got it. The places is really nice they have their own parking lot which is plus. I saw all the reviews about people whining about not being let him but your not suppose to be late to traditional classes, get there in time and pick your spot so you can settle in to class. Seauxxxxxxxx you don't ruin your other yogis vibe by being late. Be mindful if your trying to park in the lot to wait for the previous class to leave and then grab you a spot. Really chill place I loved the locker the outside showers and mirrors get photo op. Same rules apply as I would hope at most studios no phone just you the mat and water. The cool part and different are there aren't any mirrors. Which can be a little difficult if your trying to make sure your doing your poses correctly. The candle light I was use to set the mood ,and if you weary of people watching you I promise nobody cares. Now lets get into the flow I normally do vinyasa or hatha classes at a local studio back home but this was different. Its 3 different flows done 3 times with the speed up every time and then your own time to flow at your own pace. Pretty cool right! The music was loud and you can just flow on with the rest of the class. It wasn't my usual hot class for its normally humid in mine but this was hot but just not hot. Overall really cool vibe, I'm more of a traditional yoga girl so it was little to modern for me, but really cool for a good workout every once and again. Staff was cool place was nice and the instructor was really lit.

Olivia S.

Yelp
I took Brandon's We Flow Hard, afternoon class. WAY fuller than I expected for a weekday, but I see why. I love the studio, it's cute, dark but welcoming. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Brandon was a whole ass vibe! The tude kept me laughing and the flow was definitely challenging! I would absolutely come and try more classes/instructors.

Miji L.

Yelp
One of my favorite yoga studios in LA! The instructors here are super welcoming and great, the yoga studio is super clean and well polished, and it has it's own parking structure! It's always really nice to find any workout studios that have their own parking structures since it helps save time both getting to and getting out of the studio. This studio has a locker as well that everyone can use with passcodes and I love how zen this place is with the lights dimmed in a perfectly heated room. Must visit!

Yelp
Writing to inform! So I signed up one month's unlimited membership bc it's 10 minutes away from me, after 3 classes I realized the classes were pretty amateur ( the vibe is lacking and lazy ) so I tried the class for breath work and it wasn't calming. and the rooms were not even hot. (If you are looking for real HOT yoga I do not recommend. The classrooms are usually crowded and it's too crowded to flow. ( At least for the past few times I've been there ) They do not have mirrors in the classroom and don't have gender separated changing rooms. I tried to cancel from the studio but it was not allowed. Was told I have to contact the manager by email. I did it right away after knowing but unfortunately by the time they responded with I have signed two months minimum contract which I want to write a review to inform anyone who like me would not go over each one of their policies.

Jenny L.

Yelp
There is no way to contact the studio, not a phone number, not an email. What in the world is wrong with them? I don't understand how you can run a business in the middle of a city like Los Angeles without any way to be contacted. Good luck with that.

Vicky P.

Yelp
I love y7. And that being said I don't love traditional Hot yoga. Y7 plays music, it's candlelight so no one can see how disgusting you look. It's hot but usually not 'too hot'. Things you should know or do if you wanna go: - They have free parking in their lot. - They offer towels and mats to rent (they come free with the monthly membership). YOU WILL NEED A TOWEL. YOU ARE GOING TO SWEAT. - Show up at least 5-10 mins early so you can grab a spot, put your stuff in lockers. - If you are running late, don't go. Once class starts no one gets in. - Most new folks want the back row by the garage doors. - They have 4 showers, which are nice. - They don't have a phone, so if you have questions, you have to email them.

Yelp
This studio isn't the Warmest studio in town. It's Cold Blooded to say the least. I don't recommend it to POC especially, you may feel offended....there's nothing Diverse about this Studio....

Joe V.

Yelp
Hands down the best Yoga Studio & instructors in LA. There's nothing better than an hour in the heat followed by a cold plunge session!

Connor M.

Yelp
I've found the quality of classes to be severely lacking. Flows during the signature "We Flow Hard" class often make no sense (twist to warrior 3???, low lunge to half moon???). I've heard this as a common complaint, but it seems typical to savasana for 90 seconds and jump right into floor strengthening sequences, which is jarring and not productive. The studio itself was so small (smaller than most other silver lake studios) and mat placement is tighter even than some NYC studios. There are no mirrors, which is whatever, but tells you a little about the lack of focus on form/alignment/asanas. I will not be returning. This seems like a good studio if you're not really interested in yoga, just equinox-style workout classes.

Kenzie W.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible experience here. Will never ever ever be coming back. The front desk staff is just a nightmare. Horrific attitudes. I told them I called them to try and locate my yoga mat. Sofia made it very clear to belittle and laugh stating she doesn't know who I have been calling because they don't have a phone number. She doesn't bother to go and chat with the instructor to get the shed key. The other girl is on her phone leaving over the front desk. Finally she gets the key in front of me and still doesn't go to the shed to go and search for my yoga mat. She just hangs out at the front desk! Then the next class starts and 3 girls walk in about 20 seconds after the teacher started her class and she wouldn't let them in with the most sorry ass attitude! These poor girlies and I talked and I said sis don't take it personal. Sophia is rude to everybody not just you guys. Gross behavior from someone whose only job is to create a welcoming experience.

Ellice K.

Yelp
The classes are dark, intimate, and intense. I leave feeling centered and reset. Plenty of lockers and convenient parking lot. Highly recommend.

Merissa U.

Yelp
Y7 is by far my favorite work out studio. I have been to soooo many studios and this place absolutely takes the cake. It's definitely hot, so if that's not your thing then don't come here. And the music is loud, but I love that. It's the only studio I've ever been to where I genuinely like all of the instructors and all of the classes. Easy parking, showers, skincare, lockers. I have many injuries and am very inflexible and my mobility has drastically improved since taking classes here. Such an amazing studio!

Emily K.

Yelp
Y7 is a LEGIT studio for a serious yoga flow + sweat sesh. Everyone in the class looks fit and #bodygoals. I felt super motivated just by looking around the room and seeing everyone have nice postures and execute all the movements smoothly. I was able to take the class via ClassPass but I am so excited to go back with regular passes. It said all levels welcome but it was definitely not a beginner's class since @weflowhard is generally a fast paced class with high concentration and balance/strength. It was not a problem for me but i would recommend others to take other beginning classes to know yoga positions and remember how to execute them because the instructor vocally tells you what to do and you should automatically know. As a mid level yogi I definitely recommend Y7 if you're looking for the next level hot yoga experience. Wear a sports bra or something light because you will sweat a bucket!!

Gloria K.

Yelp
- Free parking - Locks on the lockers - Communal locker space - Shared amenities (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, spray on deodorant, dry shampoo) - Super friendly instructors Enjoyed my workout here at Y7. There are markers on the floor, so you know exactly where to place your mat. I thought there would be more social distancing by having half capacity or yogis in every other spot, but surprisingly wasn't. It wasn't a packed room, but there were yogi's on either side of me, and sometimes had to stagger. Everyone must show their vaccination, so maybe there is more leniency with capacity/spacing because of that. Other than that, it was a great workout. Great instructors.

Jenni T.

Yelp
did the 6lack x billie eilish yoga and it was definitely a productive yoga flow! it wasn't your typical yoga with relaxing and instrumental music playing in the background, but instead, they played hip hop music. I'm feelin' it! their facility and amenities are clean; there is a parking lot with limited space so arrive a few mins ahead; free filtered water and other products provided (i.e. makeup remover, hair ties, etc). inside the yoga area, it's very hot, aphotic, and intimate with a candlelit placed in each marked yoga spot. honestly, i was already sweating at the beginning when we were doing the downward-facing dog position, lol. overall, the majority of the positions were doable being the fact that I'm a beginner. the key is to put ample balance, focus and energy into each position, and just simply embrace the heat. if you struggle, the instructor will kindly correct your posture if you don't mind her/him touching you. anyhow, i'm ready to vibe at another class at y7!

Cindy G.

Yelp
This studio has parking, complimentary face towels, easy to use lockers, showers, and a water fill station. You can also rent mats and large towels if you need. The room is heated but not even close to other hot studios I've been to. I didn't miss the excessive heat. I think this temperature is actually more comfortable. It's hot enough to relax but not so hot that you can't grip your own body because you're dripping. I dropped a star because the room is just too small to cram 25 people. We only had 21 in the class I attended and we couldn't bring our arms up without hitting each other. Sure we can stagger but then I'm not centered on my mat and I'm off for the next pose, that's annoying! In standing wide-leg forward fold pose when I pulled myself forward I had to shorten my range here too because I would end up on my neighbor's mat otherwise. I felt very distracted by how close we all were. They've actually made little lines on the ground to create spots for your mat with no room for wing span! It's a shame too because the schedule works for me and I enjoyed the class otherwise but I don't want to feel like a sardine!

Lucia L.

Yelp
I really wanted to be a fan of Y7, but it was not at all what I expected it to be. I stopped by on a Saturday to take a Kendrick Lamar vs. Sza hot yoga class. The class was full, which only allowed us a hand's width of space between each mat. Everyone was bumping into each other and it was difficult to stretch to my fullest in such close quarters. There weren't even enough blocks for everyone, so we were only able to use 1 block each. Secondly, the teacher gave some weird examples. For instance, she said to picture ourselves as "a kitchen sponge filled with mildew and old food being wrung out." Uhh no, that is not a pleasant image to be thinking about during yoga! Don't get me wrong, the space is amazing and well curated, but they need to reduce their class limit for a better class experience imo. Loved the facility, but disliked the class itself!

Cynthia C.

Yelp
Loved: -music -personable service -Olivia was a supportive yoga teacher -candlelight hip hop heated yoga! Sign me up! -easy to use secure lockers -manduka mats -guided flows and then DIY -cardio aspects pump up the heart, yoga burpees -hair ties and all the necessities -3 showers -2 bathrooms Probably the best yoga class I have been to, try to go during an off time so you don't have to be elbow to elbow, we were at half capacity and I was still making contact with the gal next to me.

Shivani B.

Yelp
So this is the first review I've ever written on yelp. I am so so so so so upset. I registered through class pass for the 5:30 class. I walked in the door EXACTLY at 5:30 Pm. I'm a regular client. The lady at the front says I cannot be let into class. I SIGNED UP FOR THE 5:30 PM CLASS..... what the actual hell. I don't even get to use credit. I've referred so many ppl to their studio. Spoken so highly of it. But now I'm so so so disappointed in an establishment that doesn't take into consideration people's time. Life happens. And sometimes you can't get somewhere 15 minute early. Sometimes you get to places EXACTLY ON TIME. I'm so so so disheartened by today.

Greg M.

Yelp
If you like Yoga and wish it was faster paced or upbeat, then this is the place for you! Definitely different than the other hot yoga classes I have taken in the past. The space has a decent amount of free parking and if you arrive right around the class transition time it is usually easy to find a spot. Mats ($3) and towels ($2) are available for a small fee and the hand towel is free. There are free combination lockers and a multitude of amenities (showers, spray deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, face wash, soap, face and eye moisturizers, dry shampoo, face wipes, water to refill your bottles, and more) so you can easily look cleaned up and professional for whatever your day has ahead. Honestly, one of my favorite things after a great hot yoga session. Each of the classes usually does 3 sets of 3 progressions or flows. The first time through each flow is slow and time to focus on technique while of course focusing on the breath and intention of your practice for the day. The second cycle of the same flow is much faster moving at one breath per movement. The final cycle of the same flow is free to do at your own pace. The instructors have all been great so far. Always attentive, moving locations in the room so all the class can see an example of the pose in case you need guidance. They have always been helpful and positive in my interactions. Note: if you are a regular yogi, these classes are quite different with far less time zeroing in on technique. This is a positive as it means I need to take more personal responsibility for the integrity of the pose and flow.

Yelp
This studio has been flagrantly ignoring LA's COVID policies throughout the pandemic. At the time of this review, LA has a mask mandate on for indoor locations. When I went into the studio for my class, I saw that people were wearing masks while I checked in. Then I went into the yoga studio, where it was completely dark aside from a few candles - so I could not clearly see the faces of the people in class, nor was I focused on it because it did not occur to me that masks would be optional despite the public health protocol. Halfway through the class, I notice that the people next to me are not wearing masks. I immediately left in the middle of the class and wrote the studio to confirm what their mask policies are... turns out masks are "optional on the mat" despite the city having strict rules that masks are required. Here's the thing... if you're going to go against the mask mandate, the least you can do is make customers aware of this before they go in so that they can make a decision about whether or not they want to put themselves at risk. The assumption in any public space currently is that masks are required, whether or not you personally or politically agree with it. The manager of this location, "Anna Weis," couldn't be bothered to respond to emails. Shows you how much they care about, not only customer service, but the actual health and safety of their customers. Interesting policy, for a "wellness" oriented business. ----- Aside from this health violation, this studio doesn't practice yoga. They offer some sort of vocal-fried exercise mash-up routine that revolves around phrases like "hip moment!" and "hamstring moment!" The room is dirty, smells like BO and apparently is a functioning COVID microwave. Stay away.

Alana M.

Yelp
This is my second review for Y7, my last was 3 years ago and I'm still going strong. This place is wonderful! I have to address the recent negative reviews because it is unfair to give a place one star if you are upset you didn't get in to the class late. As someone who frequently flows it's very distracting to have people come in and leave early. It's LA. There's so much traffic so plan accordingly and respect your fellow yogis. Also all through covid they have complied with the mask mandate impeccably. The space is always clean, staff is friendly and is overall the best studio in LA. Thank you Y7!!

jezzel v.

Yelp
Came 1 min late because their parking lot was full and had to look for parking and people from the previous class were hanging out in the parking lot. And they turned me away. Sticking to Hot 8 or Sweat Yoga, never been to any studio that didn't have some sort of grace period. Also the space is sooo small and crowded inside and their lockers are outdoor making it dirty and they have everyone's stuff all over the floor.

Tess M.

Yelp
I arrived to class 3 minutes until start time, I was running behind because of a traffic jam in front of me and they wouldn't accommodate me into class. They also were rude and didn't let me book another class to replace it. I've never had worse customer service at a yoga studio in my life. I am very disappointed

Nathan R.

Yelp
This is the type of place that gives LA a bad reputation, $6 dollar mat towel rental ain't it, but music is good + it's a solid workout.

Hannah N.

Yelp
I took the Hip Hop Sundays Vinyasa class with Stephanie and booked it through ClassPass. The class was a lot of fun, she played old Soulja Boy and Ludacris songs and the pace was was good for beginners as well as more advanced students. They do heat the room so the class was especially good for stretching out tight muscles. They have mats and towels available for rent and they have a sizable parking lot! The studio does not have any mirrors which could be seen as a pro or con lol. I will definitely come back when I'm in the mood to do yoga!

Abby M.

Yelp
Ok this place. I dread every type of exercise, and find myself thinking of the pain, when's it going to end etc. I can't stop telling people all the reasons I love this place so figured why not do it here. The ~15 people classroom which is candlelit and no mirrors. The best music, somehow it matches my entire Spotify. It's not a traditional yogi vibe, like people doing wall handstands for the fun of it. Since they do it in 3 flows it's like choreography, so your mind isn't wandering even though yes sometimes it's painful. It's the closest thing to meditation for me. In between the flows they give you a song to do whatever you want, so when I first started I would just lay there to catch my breath and not feel like a fool for being the only one in Childs pose in the middle of other classes. They also don't correct your form which I personally like instead of feeling like I'm doing everything wrong, instead they verbally help to remember the alignment etc. Some people may prefer the corrections but I personally don't. The general aesthetic is beautiful, the showers are way better than mine, and the Malin and Goetz products don't hurt either. I could keep going but I thiiiink you get the idea. Also every instructor is amazing.

Soo H.

Yelp
Amazing studio! Third Y7 studio I've been to so far. Same awesome flow, instructors and friendly front-desk folks as the other studios but more spacious than both the Williamsburg and Weho locations. There are several nice clean super private showers with changing areas and Malin & Goetz products. The lockers are outdoors but the check-in area is indoors. Flow is in a large garage-style room with a cork floor so it's not too hard. Heat is dry and infrared so it never gets too smelly or steamy. I LOVE Y7 and this location is fantastic. Definitely recommend!

Rachel S.

Yelp
I love this studio! The flows are always interesting, challenging, and fun. The instructors are encouraging and make suggestions to make the poses more or less difficult. Sunday's and Wednesday's are especially fun because they have hip hop yoga. You can find the theme to the class on their Instagram page. They rent out mats and mat towels and have lockers. I haven't had trouble getting a parking spot, but the lot isn't that big so plan ahead. Also make sure to get there in time because they have a very strict late policy!

Devonta W.

Yelp
Y7 is one of my favorite studios in New York City. So when I had the chance to check out the LA location I was excited. The Silver Lake location is pretty cool with an indoor/ outdoor style building. The staff was super friendly and help me get situated before class. The studio has the same Y7 setup as most of the other locations. The instructor Brandon was great during the flow. The artist of the day was Usher. Overall had a great session and would highly recommend this location

Johan M.

Yelp
This is a cool yoga studio. I really loved the layout of the studio and how the yoga room is basically in a storage container, with a unisex locker room outside. The lockers come with pre-installed locks, which is awesome. The showers are also awesome! Despite the locker area being "communal," the shower stalls are private rooms, with enough room to change. There is also plenty of free parking. Initially, I thought the room was not hot enough to what I'm used to for hot classes (it felt about 80 degrees), but things definitely got steamy once we were flowing! The instructor was awesome and the class absolutely kicked my ass, despite the fact that I do Yoga Sculpt and Hot Power Fusion classes at CorePower almost on a daily basis. I would absolutely feel comfortable as a beginner here as well. The studio really likes to brand itself as a "hip-hop" yoga studio, but honestly, the playlist was nothing out of the norm of what I've heard at other studios. I did have to dock one star because I was not a huge fan of the "flow on your own" sessions during class. It's just something I'm not used to. I would have rather had a few more guided flows.

Angela C.

Yelp
My first class I've tried here is the Slow Burn Vinyasa + Restore 75 min with Melissa Genovese. I love her class so much, she is is amazing and exudes such a positive energy! Her class is unique compared to other vinyasa yoga classes I've tried. It seems a bit more spiritual and she plays some cosmic sounds that seem to help transport you closer to "enlightenment". She guides you along the journey with her affirming words of how to practice mindfulness with your yoga poses. But this is not a super hippy granola place and doesn't get too extremely spiritual or out there. It is much more of a mainstream place with a super trendy vibe and sleek aesthetic. They are known for playing hip hop in their classes which goes along with their slogan "a tribe called sweat." The clientele are also young, fit, and trendy. I wish I lived closer, because I can't wait to come back just to take her class again!

Josephine E.

Yelp
Horrible and mean front desk staff. I came 10 minutes early and their parking lot was super full. I would imagine this is common. So I had to search the neighborhood for street parking. I finally was able to find parking. I illegally crossed Sunset Blvd to make it in time. I literally walked in 1 minute late for the 8:15 class and they would not let me in. They had just closed the door and the music was not even playing, class had not technically started. When I told her that the parking lot was full she did not feel bad at all. She just informed me I couldn't join as a man chimed in to lee reiterating. I tried to tell them, it's been a long day, I am just trying to get to my yoga class and 1 minute late shouldn't preclude me. I pay for classpass which pays the studio. I am a paying customer. I am a first time student who is a local in the area. This was very discouraging and disappointing. I never want to attend this studio again nor will I recommend it. As someone who travels the world and goes to many gyms, yoga studios, this is one of the top worst experiences I ever had. I cannot believe that a business operates like this and treats their customers like this.

Yelp
I came here for the first time because of a recommendation from fellow yelper Connie W. I was her plus one at their VIP Real Friends events. The event consisted of a complimentary 45 minute "WeFlowHard" vinyasa event followed by complimentary Sapp Birch Water tastings, WLNSS. booster shots (like B12 and Glutathione!), Ritual vitamins, and GBY Beauty Tooth Gems! The studio is so cool! The outdoor-ish gender neutral locker room/bathroom/shower area is such a cute idea. It was a bit chilly out there but considering it's LA, I'm sure that won't be a problem for too many people and only during the cold season. I love that they provide absolutely everything for you: Yoga mats, yoga towel for the mat (Manduka), supergoop beauty products, Malin+Goetz bath products, hair ties, pads/tampons, and more. For the cost of every other yoga studio in LA, you definitely get way more bang for your buck at this studio. Plus the yoga room is heated by infrared technology and not humidity, so you know that sweat is all yours, baby! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I don't think 2 toilets is enough for that studio, so hopefully they can expand and also get another room :) Thank you to Studio Manager Kristine Acosta for hosting and putting this awesome event together!

Yelp
Stephanie is a stellar instructor - informative, sweet, uplifting. Loved the vinyasa flow class - will I could make it regularly if I lived closer. The facilities are top-notch! Free lockers and quality toiletries to use in their private shower rooms. Love the overall vibe and attitude of Y7! Keep on keepin' on!

Yelp
this is yoga-like movements in a hot room with good branding. true yoga will not be found here. the class started with over 5 minutes of childs pose in the beginning of a 60 minute class is lazy instruction in my opinion. they do a series of poses which you do slow, then faster, then on your own. i can't stand this model. it's lazy instruction. whoever came up with this probably also came up with have hour-long yoga classes. in the last class i took, i couldn't hear the instructor a lot of the time because the music was so loud. people looked confused because it sounded like she was saying utkatasana, when really she meant something else. some of the poses didn't flow together. some instructors are better than other. i suggest rae if you are gonna go, but i don't think i can go again. i get annoyed instead of relaxed when i can't hear the instructor over the loud music and have to remember the series on my own. they have lockers and showers that are clean, a refillable water station, and stuff for rent.

Yelp
I've attended a few more classes since this review and think it's fair to update my review. I'm giving them a few more stars. Shout out to Brandon for making me change my mind. I loved his class. :) I think there are a few tricks to enjoying this place: 1) go during off hours (aka 2pm) to avoid the crowds. When the class is half full you have much more space to spread out, and it's much more enjoyable. 2) find a teacher you like. In retrospect, I just didn't really like the first instructor I had, and she was the only one that did proprietary moves. Brandon and another teacher I had did normal yoga moves. 3) Turns out I went on a Wednesday, which is hip hop day. I preferred going on non hip hop days, since the music flowed better with the routine. I still believe this place is a poor choice for beginning yogis. There's just not a real focus on form or alignment. I also would hope that more advanced yogis attend other studios too to keep up proper practice and avoid injury. To sum up: fun as a good, sweaty workout every once in a while, but I'll keep practicing elsewhere to maintain good form/improve my practice.

Yelp
This studio is the shiz. I love coming here, every instructor is a different vibe and leave you feeling great when you're done with class...you really can't go wrong. Set in a dark room by candlelight, it's a judgement-free, pressure-free, you-be-free zone. There have been classes where I do all the challenges and keep up with the instructors, and others where I just sit it out and chill. It's your hour - you do you! It may come off intimidating since the decor is all sleek, black, and concrete and there are no mirrors or much visual guidance during class, but really nobody is looking and everyone is in the same boat! You can expect to hear hip hop through the speakers during the main portions of the class. Warm-up and cool-down portions are accompanied by typical yoga, peaceful instrumentals. Wednesdays and Sundays are on theme, announced every week (90's Hip Hop, Lizzo, Bad Boy Records, etc.). Typical class format goes as follows: warm-up, Flow 1 three times, Flow 2 three times, and Final Flow three times, a small cool-down, an abs challenge, and a final cool-down. Each Flow is done in three parts: once slowly and together as a class, once a little faster (breath to movement), and a final time on your own/your own pace/your own style! There's a parking lot, but it can get full depending on which class you're attending and how close to class start time you come. People wait in lines to park in the lot! There's street parking on Sunset worst case! Mat placements are marked on the floors so popular classes will get to "Waitlist" status if enough people have signed up. With the class packages, you get a sweat towel, sticky mat towel, mat rental, and bath towel. Classpassers don't unfortunately. It's a great membership if you commute via public trans and don't want to lug your mat around and definitely clutch for when you forget to pack your towels! Showers indoors and outdoors with everything you need. Only thing is, all the locker areas are completely public, so you'll have to get dressed in the shower area which can be difficult when you're pulling on dress pants and it's 90 degrees and humid in the shower room. LOVE AND RECOMMEND!

Yelp
I was excited to try this studio since I love hot yoga and I live close by. I tried the Kendrick Lamar vs Drake class as it sounded like a lot of fun to me. The studio is nice and parking seems ok even though while I was leaving I noticed that it had filled up fast. I like that it was candlelight and that there are no mirrors so people can focus on the practice rather than themselves. I understand their whole concept is "flow on your own" but it's definitely not for me. It just felt messy and lacked structure. Someone was in the center of the class and for the most part just laid down the entire time. But I guess I get it because flow on your own, right?! It was very distracting. I did not like the flow on your own sequence at all. I guess they are trying to let people dive into their own practice but it just seems quite lazy and messy. She kept turning the music down when she needed to talk and on high when we "flowed on our own". I think there were probably only 2 sequences in class. I honestly was not a fan and most likely will not be attending another class. Another thing I wasn't fond of...was the fact that the teacher kept turning the air on quite a bit during class. I don't think she should be doing that. The whole point is for it to be a heated room. People walk in knowing it is heated to a certain degree. For her to have been turning the air on every so often was not a good feeling. It definitely took away from it being a heated class. She should really only turn it on once and towards the end of class. I'm very sad and had high hopes for this place.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite yoga studios!! Not only cause it's hip and cool, but they always have the best hip hop playlists and instructors! Not gonna lie, I didn't like it here the first couple times because you need to memorize the moves pretty quickly. They only go over the sequence two times and the third, you're on your own! At first, I didn't get what the purpose of this was, but now I love how you can add and take away from each flow. It gives you more freedom to practice crow pose, headstand, etc! It is a popular studio so it does get pretty packed but they are super organized. They have markers where you align your mats to. They provide mats if you don't have one! Towels are extra $2! They also have their own parking lot which is a huge plus in Silver Lake!! If you're looking for a hot yoga studio, def hit this place up! Great way to relieve stress and stretch out those limbs!

Yelp
Not a hot yoga fan. However!!!! I really enjoyed this experience. The facility was very modern and clean and the instructor had such a great energy and spirit with which she lead a beautiful class. I found the temperate at this studio to be perfect- not too hot at 85. I've been to studios where it was way too hot and therefore unenjoyable. I got to class 15 min early and found no parking spaces available in the lot, so had to find street parking in the residential area behind the studio. But by the time my friend came after me, the previous class had let out and they were able to find a spot in the lot. I guess being an early bird does not mean you will always get the worm... Either way, finding street parking wasn't too terrible. I also brought all my own equipment and water bottle but they do rent or sell everything there. I don't like paying for that stuff so if you are like me plan on bringing the following items: -water bottle (they have water filling stations there) but sell filled water bottles at $2 each!!!! -hand towel -non-slip towel to lay on top of your mat (or beach towel if you don't have one) -yoga mat -change of clothes They also have showers there but I just changed into dry clothes bc I don't like showering at places that aren't my home. Be sure to hydrate thoroughly in advance!!!!!!

Yelp
I really should've written this review already! I've been a fan of Y7 since they opened their Melrose Studio, but I'm an East Sider and it was far. When they opened the Silver Lake Studio, I was in heaven. It's roomier, has an indoor outdoor set up, and the nicest people as staff. I decided to challenge myself when Y7 opened in Silver Lake, and see if I could make the unlimited membership worthwhile. It's a two month minimum, and I knew in order for it to be cost effective that would require a 7 class a month commitment (bringing per class cost to $22 as opposed to $30). I am happy to report that I was quickly hooked and 18 months later, I haven't stopped. I go about 4 times a week now, which brings the classes down to under 10 dollars a pop. If you add in the additional benefit that the unlimited membership comes with free mats and towels, the savings are even greater. As for instructors? They're all amazing, but my personal recommendations are Sarah (she's great for all levels, helps you laugh at yourself, and never stops challenges you!), Arie (positive, calming, and tough as hell - I've even done her workshops - her voice is so soothing), and Brandon (hard AF, he will kick.your.ass.) Since I started doing y7, I take way less anxiety medicine, sleep better, my skin is glowing, and I'm happier. I have found such a nice community and I really hope you consider trying them out, they're worth it.

Yelp
Yay Y7 opened in Silverlake! First time at this studio and doing Y7 yoga. Totally different than other kinds of yoga but it's fun and a nice change to mix in with other more serious yoga. Focus is still on the poses and the breath but music is contemporary and hip hop-ish. It is heated and you go through 3 sets of flows - starting slow with a lot of instruction and then at the end, you flow on your own without the instruction for the last 2 minutes of each set so yes, you have to kind of pay attention. Can get super crowded at night. Instructor was good about asking people to make room. There is a lot out front (entrance off Sunset) with maybe 10-15 parking spots? Theres also street parking in the neighborhood behind Y7 and on Sunset. They have lockers that actually lock, towels, mat/no skid towel for rent, and a filtered water dispenser.

Yelp
Ok. So I really hesitated on writing this review because I don't want this place to get so hype I can't reserve a spot on a whim but ya know what... I'm so in love, I have to proclaim it from the rooftops. For my bachelorette viewing fans, my love for Y7 started out in the most unlikely manner- very similar to Carly & Evan from bachelor in paradise. I really did NOT think I was going to like this place. I thought.. yoga and hip hop? NO WAY! But I decided to try it since it's so close to my place and nothing else on classpass I wanted was available for the time slot I wanted that day. Fast forward to today and I'm hooked. This is the first time I've actually bought classes from a studio directly. Since I have classpass, I often just jump around. No place has hooked me like this studio. This is why I LOVE Y7- -Format/music: the structure of the class + the music works well together and is surprisingly zen -ambiance- the black & white color scheme of everything plus the candlelight flow is transcendent -mood- the overall improvement in my mood and decrease in anxiety is SIGNIFICANT. I think the combination of the heat (classes are heated), increased heart rate (you'll definitely get that heart rate up) and centered "practice"/insight from instructors is game changing -Amenities- showers, lockers and workout related accessories (hair ties, deodorant, etc) are all readily accessible. For no extra change. -Service- every time something has been off (ie- filter water dispenser was broken or I had to cancel a class last minute because I got a nail in my tire) it was taken care of (free bottled water/Cancelled class was credited back to me) The only negative I can think of is that there's no phone number to the studio on the website or anywhere I could find. But that's not a big deal. If you're looking for a yoga game changer... Y7 is the place. Even if you're a traditionalist, I think it's worth a try because, if you're like me, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Yelp
Don't bother. The staff was cooly unhelpful when I got stuck in the rain and was 4 minutes late to class and wouldn't let me in. After driving for an hour and dealing with the elements, you think a place that professes to be yogic would have a bit more sympathy. Never coming back.

Yelp
I have been practicing at Y7 since I moved to LA from NY in July and I have to say, I'm OBSESSED! Each class is generally structured to include 3 flows, each building in complexity. You do each flow 3 times: first with longer holds to learn sequence and ensure proper alignment (instructor guided), then one breath one movement (also instructor guided), then flow on your own. The heat, the music, and the breath make this the best hour of your day! I highly recommend trying Rob, Ari, Sam, and Katie's classes - they are wonderful! Logistically speaking, there is a small parking lot that fills up quickly but street spots also nearby. Showers (with malin + Goetz products), lockers, water, and towels are available.

Yelp
I finally was able to take a class here after seeing an much online promotion. I took their Wednesday Hip Hop Yoga class, which was a mix of traditional Vinyasa flow with some more complex moves and binds. The studio itself is very trendy, with lockers and parking (both great perks). The room itself was a lot smaller than I expected. I loved that the room is so dark, and the music does make it fun. The style of teaching is the instructor will guide the class through a few rounds, and then cranks the music to allow you to go through the flow yourself. I myself am not a huge fan of that style of practice, but it was something new. I felt invigorated and challenged. The room isn't burning hot like Core Power, but it's warm enough to build up a great sweat. All in all I enjoyed my experience here and would return again. It wasn't the most challenging yoga class I have taken, (I've had my butt handed to me at One Down Dog,) But I loved the vibe and the idea of hip hop yoga. Will be back!
