Calling it now this will be the spot for the rest of the summer. Such a cute ambiance, great location. Food was delicious & so were the drinks. Chris made an amazing skinny marg! Highly recommend the shrimp summer roll & crab spring rolls. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!

Lovely place, lovely service. Nothing bad to say. I absolutely enjoyed devouring the vegetarian pho. Probably my favorite pho ever. The portion for this pho was quite hefty so go with an appetite! My table also had Fried crab spring roll and Shrimp summer rolls. I loved the summer rolls and although the fried crab spring roll wasn’t for me my friend loved it. We also had the shrimp and catfish taco and both were delicious. The catfish was perfectly crisp. We left full and glad we went in early to avoid the dinner rush. For drinks we opted for the lavender dream and the spicy mai tai. The lavender dream was good but I prefered the spicy mai tai. Would definitely recommend a stop and definitely need to go back to try more drinks.

Came here before a show at the Bowery Electric and WOW what an amazing choice! Inside of the restaurant has such a beautiful vibe. Love the colors and the decor. Staff is so friendly and accommodating. And the food - DELICIOUS!!!!!! I underestimated the size of the tacos I ordered, but I still ate all three. They were fantastic! If I'm in the area again I will definitely return. If you're seeing a show in this area - COME HERE!!!!

Venturing around this area of NYC in search of a bite & some libations, my friends & I were like Goldilocks trying porridge (minus the breaking & entering). First place was too posh & boring. Second place was too crowded & noisy. But Xèo... Xèo was jussssst right. 😁 This was the perfect spot for a Friday evening. The music was great & the volume level allowed for vibing & conversation. As a DJ, I'm so critical of these things, so trust that it was good. The decor & lighting were warm & cozy. The drinks were good & so was the food. Katie's service ensured my return. You're lucky if you get her to serve your table. I look forward to going back.

Amazing Short Rib Pho, it's a must try! You can definitely split the Pho and 1-2 tacos among two people for a very filling meal.

They’re serving up the best fusion I’ve had in a long time and one of the most interesting combinations I’ve seen: Vietnamese and Mexican! Plus it’s such a cute spot with a full bar, disco ball, indoor and outdoor seating, and attentive staff. I tried: •Oaxaca Gold - a sweet and tart me a l pineapple mix •Shrimp Summer Roll - a Vietnamese classic with amazing peanut sauce •XEO Wings - fried to perfection with a spicy Mayo dip •Lemongrass Chicken Taco - with pickled carrots, bean sprouts, mint, cilantro, and a vinegary dip Thanks for having me!!

One of the worst dine-in experiences lately. Main part - vibe&service. We ordered food&drinks right away including one alcohol cocktail and one soft drink, and normally even if food takes longer you would expect to get drinks first. GOT MY COKE IN 40(!!!)MIN after reminding waitress several time and cancelling the cocktail order - by that time all the food came out. Still, the waitress was trying to include cocktail to the check later. Second part, FOOD. At this point, it’s a bit of personal preference, I saw other reviewers compliments the menu, but for me 4 of 5 dishes was uneatable. So called ‘tacos’ was too crispy and huuge for amount of stuffing inside. Ordered 4 different tacos, but they all tasted THE same - a bit of meat/fish/sausage ( literally a bit!) overpowered by chopped cabbage salad that they put in every one of them! No sauce, a bit of dipping oil on side - super disappointing. Grilled corn was ok, sandwich - sort of bahn mi with same cabbage from tacos. Maybe, if we tried pho ( mentioned in other good reviews) .. but came out of this place super annoyed and hungry(!!)

So one of my friends recommended this spot while we visited nyc. I am Mexican and love pho but my friend was excited to try the pho with a whole steak in it and so was I. Be warned this dish was 37 dollars but plenty of food and totally delicious and worth it. I also ordered a gin and tonic that was so yummy. Our waiter was so nice and accommodating even tho they were close to closing. Definitely will recommend and be back next time im in nyc

I absolutely loved my experience at Xeo Cantina, from the service to the food to the ambiance. I came here in a group of 16, and multiple people came up to me afterwards to say that this was such a great spot. I would definitely recommend this for large groups (but also in general). I called a week in advance to ask for a reservation, and they initially said there was a $25 cancellation fee per person and they needed my credit card, so I said I'd call back later with it. I forgot until Monday, but they were closed, so I ended up making my reservation for 16 people on Wednesday for the same Friday. I was shocked that they were able to accommodate me still, and they were able to access my Resy account (with my credit card on file) with just my phone number. They said it would be fine if I had to change the number on the reservation, and to just let them know ASAP; from Wednesday to Friday, I made multiple changes (14, 13, 15, etc) but they were really gracious throughout it all. When we arrived, they had two tables of 8 set aside for us in the back; half of us arrived mostly on time, and the other half arrived about 20-30 minutes late, so the two tables worked out perfectly. The waiter was really friendly and great throughout it all, and I was amazed by how quickly our food and drinks came out. My table ended up mostly sharing everything, and a few people got some extra tacos. A bunch of people ended up getting multiple drinks throughout the night, and the waiter was always within reach. My table ended up being 7 people (with the 8th person coming incredibly late), and despite ordering a ton of food, the total for my portion came out to under $30 even including tax and gratuity. I did share one fried catfish taco with someone, and I wish I had tried more tacos but I was totally stuffed by the end. + Passionfruit agua fresca ($8) - 4/10 - I think they may actually use real passionfruit for this because this was very tart like a passionfruit, but it was much more sour than sweet, so I did not love this drink, especially for $8. I would not get this again. + Spicy papaya mango salad ($14) - 8/10 - Delicious, the perfect combination of spicy and refreshing. + Salt and pepper calamari ($16) - 10/10 - Very well-fried calamari and I absolutely loved the spicy lemongrass mayo. + Fried catfish taco ($6) - 10/10 - Loved the crispy taco shell, the fried fish, and the condiments. Definitely worth it (yes, it's just one taco). + Xeo sizzling pork pork chop ($25) - 5/10 - I was initially really excited for this, and my first few bites with the tortilla and condiments were great. I liked that it was a cross between fajitas and Vietnamese pork chop, though after the tortillas were gone, I was eating the pork by itself and realized it was not very tender. I could've sworn those first few bites were, though, so either it's not even or I was bamboozled by all the condiments ... or maybe it cooked further on the sizzling plate. + Soft shell crab fried rice ($27) - 9/10 - I was skeptical about this because I saw a review saying this was mush, but that must have been an off day. This was a delicious fried rice and the soft shell crab was perfectly fried. + Basil green curry with coconut rice ($18) - 10/10 - I was really blown away by this, and it was definitely one of my favorite dishes, which is surprising because it's vegetarian. The eggplant was amazingly tender but held its shape, and so good soaked in the addicting curry sauce. The coconut rice was also really good. + Whole fried fish ($34) - 10/10 - This was huge, and it was a total showstopper. I was really impressed by how crispy the fish stayed even as we were picking at it throughout the night. There wasn't much sauce, but the fish went well with the condiments. This is pretty big, so definitely get it to share with at least one other person. Overall, there are some hits and misses, but most of the food was amazing and I do think coming in a group is the best way to experience Xeo Cantina. I probably wouldn't want to pay $27 for a crab fried rice on my own, but I would totally get it again in a group (and try some other tacos). I also really appreciate that they didn't try to kick us out; I think we stayed for about 2.5 hours and because we had the back corner to ourselves, people from our two tables mingled freely either by standing or switching seats without feeling like we were bothering anyone. Definitely would recommend!

Stop by XEO Cantina for some amazing Vietnamese Mexican fusion food! I love the creativity and different flavors from these dishes. The ambience was great too with dimmed pink lights. We ordered: - Salt and pepper calamari - XEO wings - Lemongrass chicken taco - Fried catfish taco - Nam nuong (pork sausage) vermicelli bowl - Basil green curry bowl - Mango + lychee frozen margaritas My favorites were the XEO wings and the catfish taco. Everything was pretty tasty and the portions were generous. This was such a filling and tasty meal and I'll definitely be back!

This may be one of those places that you try once and never again. Loved the vibes inside with the music and the drinks. They make an excellent espresso martini!! The lavender dream was more of a nightmare...honestly, where was the lavender? The food started off great with the salt and pepper calamari, can't go wrong there. The tacos, if you're into a crispy shell, definitely order one of those. Then we decided to share the crab fried rice but it was ... unexpected. Maybe a crab fried rice is more of a Thai specialty, rather than at a Vietnamese Mexican fusion place. The dish was a pile of mush so if you're a lover of baby food, this is the dish for you! Overall, I think a great place to grab a drink with friends but as for food, it can be a hit or miss.

Love the creative menu! Was in the neighborhood and decided to give Xeo Cantina a try after reading the Yelp reviews and had a great meal. We tried an assortment of dishes - Fried Crab Spring Roll, Xeo Wings, Vietnamese Street Corn, Grilled Nem Nuong Taco, Softshell Crab Fried Rice and a Short Rib Pho - all were great! Terrific flavor and good-sized portions. The wings especially stood out for the sauce that they were cooked in (didn't even need the dipping sauce that came with it) and the pho was a nice hearty dish with a good amount of flavorful short rib. Lively atmosphere and friendly and energetic servers. Will definitely be back!

Honestly stumbled upon this restaurant not expecting much, but was immediately surprised at how good this place was. I'm so glad to find this restaurant! The interior decor and the vibes are so fun. There's plenty of seating as well as a bar area if you just want drinks. I want to give a shout-out to one of the female servers -- I forgot her name, but I loved her input and recommendations. Xeo Wings -- must get! Perfectly sweet and savory. It comes with a dipping sauce that complements the wings well. This was our favorite dish of the night Summer rolls -- well balanced and fresh. The nem nuong didn't come out as much as I'd like, but if you're looking for a light bite, I would recommend this. Lemongrass chicken tacos -- another must get. The flavor and texture was unrivaled. I'll have to try the other flavors as well Short Rib Pho -- a hot take, but I personally didn't like this dish. The soup is flavorful on its own, but I think the short ribs were a bit too overpowering for me

Came here to try for lunch. The fish taco and shrimp taco was great. The pork and chicken were meh. I ordered the original Bahn mi to try and it was one of the worse one I've had. The pho surprisingly wasn't bad. The broth flavorful but the noodles over cooked. It was self seating and only had one waitress and one bartender. So a bit slow on the service. But the staff was super friendly and kind. Would only come back for the fish taco but that's it.

Vietnamese Mexican fusion restaurant that's been opened for a couple of months and I decided to pop by to try them today. Xeo Grilled Nam Neong Bowl with vermicelli - never had this type of sausage before, but it was really soft and goes well with the dip. However the proportion was a little off - there were more meat than vermicelli and not much salad on the side. Catfish Tacos - definitely a must get! The taco wasn't too hard like most Mexican places and the catfish was so crispy and soft! Xeo Wings - probably my favorite dish. The wings were so juicy and caramelized. Classic Pho - broth was decent but nothing special about it. Overall, the food was great, but service could be better as they seem understaff. I walked in and wasn't greeted immediately and when they finally noticed me, I was told to just sit anywhere. They also didn't come with water for a good 10 minutes and I grabbed the menu myself. Also would be great if they have high chair for babies.

Amazing mix of Vietnamese and Mexican food. From wings to summer rolls to tacos, everything was very unique and flavorful. Ambiance was on point as well, definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area.

We went on a super rainy day so it wasn't too busy. I was super excited to try this place as the Vietnamese & Mexican fusion sounded so good. Unfortunately we had just had pho earlier in the week so didn't feel like having it again. We ordered the following: Guac&Chips - it came with both tortilla chips and shrimp chips (which is one of my faves!). The guacamole was a bit too mushy and probably wasn't prepared fully fresh as it already had the brownish hint to it Xeo Wings - the fish sauce smells and flavors really hit you. If you don't like fish sauce, I wouldn't recommend this dish. I really enjoyed these wings but the drumsticks were a bit over fried/ (but when are they not?) Whole Fried Fish - I don't remember what kind of fish this was, but it was fried very nicely. More like a light Asian fry (IYKYK). There was a mix of onions and peppers inside the fish that paired nicely, as well as a mango salad with a spicy dressing on the side. At times, we also used some of the leftover sauce from the wings to eat with the fish and it was delicious. Would highly recommend ordering this! Definitely want to come back and try the pho and the tacos!

new vietnamese-mexican fusion spot in east village! pretty good and loved their drinks! - xeo wings - i had to try these caramelized fish sauce wings; well seasoned and super crunchy! - fried catfish tacos - these were super cool and i enjoyed the freshness of it! - vietnamese street corn - give me a million of these - grilled nem nuoung roll (barbecued pork sausage) - never had nem nuoung before but i loved it, especially with the freshness of the veggies in the roll - mezcal cooler + frozen mango margarita - cant go wrong w any of their drinks

Came here on a whim because it sounded quite unique - I've never had a Vietnamese/Mexican fusion before and was curious. Calamari was nothing special, but the tacos were actually quite nice! Quite sizable, and I'm not sure what the shell was made of but it complemented the tacos well as a whole. Overall, the shrimp taco was probably the favorite of the table, though we also tried the chicken, nem nuong, and catfish. Short rib pho was also reportedly quite good, and definitely a hefty meal for one person to finish.

We walked by and saw a new Vietnamese restaurant so we gave it a try... We couldn't tell what it was exactly until we read the menu. Foods seem to be Vietnamese with a hint of Mexican... Everything was delicious!!! We ordered tacos.. shell had a crispy but chewy texture... love it... Pho with the large rib was huge and soup was flavorful. Wings were fried to perfection. Drinks were delicious as well! Will definitely go back!!!

Xeo cantina is owned by the same people behind NYC favorite Saigon Shack, so you know it's going to be good! I came with my family to give to a try and I'm so glad I did. Xeo serves authentic Vietnamese food with a Mexican twist. We got the shrimp chips with salsa, guacamole, catfish taco, soft shell crab fried rice, pineapple short rib pho, and vegetarian pho. Everything was delicious and had interesting takes of classic dishes. Our favorites were the catfish taco and pineapple short rib pho. The catfish taco was so juicy and filling. It came with a sweet sauce that complimented the taco well. The pineapple short rib pho was amazing! The broth was so flavorful and the meat on the rib bone was soft and tender. The vegetarian pho was good too! My vegetarian sister didn't have to sacrifice taste here. Overall, everything was really good and came in generous portions. You'll definitely leave happy and full! The atmosphere was great - like a modern cantina bar. This is somewhere I would take my friends for dinner + drinks on a Friday/Sat night. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed Xeo cantina and will definitely be back!

Love me a good fusion and everything we had was genuinely really yummy. We ordered the short rib bowl which was huge and the meat fell right off the bone, fried catfish Taco, Nem Nuong Spring Rolls, and grilled lemongrass sandwich. Service was phenomenal and the vibes were great. I'd definitely come back!

Came across this place with a friend and this place does not disappoint! I highly recommend their tacos and the chicken wings. It was already packed with flavor without the dipping sauce. The soft shell crab fried rice isn't a must order. The crab is a little under seasoned but the fried rice had good flavors in it. I also tried the short rib pho, the meat fell right off the bone! We had a really nice lunch at XEO today. Service was very friendly and attentive. We shared the umami-bomb wings, my wife got a big bowl of pho and I had some of the tacos. Everything was excellent and we brought home leftover. Really impressive and delicious!

overall, flavorful dishes and great ambiance. felt like a very intimate spot with the dimmed lights. the short rib was my favorite, meat was really tender! broth of the pho was comforting. chicken was a bit dry but i liked that they provided soft taco shells and sauces which was a great combination with it. really liked the fusion!

Went here just for drinks so this is not a review about the food- if you find something you want they probably don't have it. When they do they will overcharge you and then argue with you when you inquire about how they justify their prices. Just move on -there are better places for a drink in the vicinity.

The lemongrass chicken tacos were so addictive I kept ordering them and the Mezcal cooler was so refreshing I've been recommending this spot to friends ever since I paid the bill and that was only a few hours ago. The spot only opened 4 weeks ago but service was a well oiled machine - Can't wait for a second chance to go back to this spot!

Xeo Cantina is a really cute and delicious Vietnamese fusion restaurant in Noho. It's definitely unique and I have not seen anything else like it in Manhattan. All of the food is really delicious- I highly recommend the shrimp summer rolls, salt & pepper calamari, and softshell crab fried rice. I'd love to come back and try their bahn mi sandwiches and pho. They also have a well crafted and fun cocktail menu. It's not traditional Vietnamese food, but excellent fusion!

The food and atmosphere is my favorite part about Xeo, along with the staff. They play great music, a mix of hip hop, r&b, and Afro-beats. The best things I've eaten here are the wings and short rib tacos (or short rib anything!) Also, they have well-crafted cocktails which I recommend the Oxaocan Gold. Say hi to Hansel, a fantastic bartender there!

Place was empty so thought we'd go in for a coffee, ignorant lady came over and said that next time we should order food as it's a business, which was why we came here for a coffee in stead of starbucks.

Perfect spot for Friday night dinner with friends - love the decor, playlist was killer, and the food and drinks were veryyyy solid. While I didn't get to try all of the different types of offerings (like the tacos or summer rolls), I can tell you that the wings and calamari are must orders. The pho broth was very good, though I would probably try a different protein than chicken next time. We also had the soft shell crab fried rice, and again, while the fried rice itself was really good, I think I'd go with the shrimp next time. Overall though, the foundation of the food here is very good. As for drinks, I walked in and they immediately offered me a shot of tequila so I knew I loved this place already. From there, I tried a frozen mango marg and a tequila spiked agua fresca. They were all delicious - and there were lots of other (tequila and non-tequila) options that looked great! Definitely recommend for a fun, casual evening.

Food was decent but we were charged TWICE and when we tried to call no one answered so we left a detailed voice of the situation and no one responded or called back to resolve. I tried calling my credit card but they said I have to dispute the charge with the restaurant since payment was processing. It is very frustrating and I'm out over $130!! Needless to say customer service is crap and our experience was disappointing

Food was pretty good but the 1 star is for poor customer service! Was charge for entire meal twice. Reached out twice via IG and twice via phone number listed on Resy (generic recording so who knows if they're getting it) still no response after 5 days. Credit card company won't remove charge since they claimed restaurant has to do a charge back. Be sure to check your statement so you're not charge for over $100s twice!
