"This rustic barn turned tasting room, museum and shop highlights Tasmania 'sapple- andcider-producing heritage, while also serving as the home of Willie Smith’s Organic Cider and Charles Oats Distilling. It offers a delicious food menu, too, featuring the stars of southern Tasmanian produce (Huon cold-smoked salmon, Spring Bay mussels, Summer Hill bread) plus cider pairings. A hive of activity year-round, the Apple Shed really heats up in the Austral winter, when you can sip spiced cider (Willie Smith’s Original plus ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, and pimento) during live music on Fridays as well as the first Sunday of the month. Better yet, come for the Huon Valley Mid Winter Festival: a pagan-inspired weekend of music, merriment, and wassailing—scaring nasties out of the orchard to ensure a bumper autumn crop."

Cool place. We enjoyed a few hours on Saturday. Live music. Spacious. Nice outdoor setting . Enough place to keep kids busy. Food tasty except the ribs. They were a bit too dry to my taste, but we still enjoyed it. I loved the non alcohol cider and the pie.

We love this place. Everything really great value (price/serve size) with excellent service on top! Their apple pie is a winner but the apple crumble cheesecake I had the other day just pipped it to the post! It's got oodles of character and is a great place to bring all the family.

Enjoyed our visit here on a Saturday afternoon (recommend coming before 2pm to catch the weekend market). Just quick drive outside of Hobart city, this cider/distillery is worth the stopover. Good quality cider (not too sweet), with cider / spirits tasting options. While the kitchen was already closed after 4pm when we arrived, we were still able to enjoy the Apple Pie (really good) and bought stuff off the shelf to take home.

WOW what a great place to visit. Awesome atmosphere even on week days. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. A great overview on the history of apples and the region. Great menu of locally sourced food and daily specials. We had the apples pie with real vanilla icecream, magnificent, the wallaby burger, WOW, flavoursome and tasty. Great ciders and try the warm apple cider, great on a cool day. Well worth a visit

If I could give this 6 stars I would! Amazing cider and amazing food, we both had the original cider and the burger which were fantastic. The ingredients are all locally sourced and it was perfectly cooked, making it one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Must do and well worth the short drive outside the city!

Drove past on our road trip And wondered whether we should stop on way home that afternoon. So glad we did it was such a large space with heaps of seating. We got a seat by the window and the room was busy with lots of people coming and going. Even with lots of people in one space it didn't feel too loud and had a nice atmosphere. You order at the counter and that days special had pulled pork burgers on a milk bun. So glad we ordered those devoured mine quickly, super tasty. Great tasting! Also had the cider paddle and hot spiced cider and a slice of the apple pie which I really enjoyed. Hope to come back again and would recommend for others to check it out.

This was our second time visiting and it was amazing per usual. We decided to go for the mulled cider and apple pie. We also got the cheese board :) We got seated at the window, which was perfect for enjoying the view. The cheese board was delicious and totally worth the value. The apple pie was decadent and filling-- we had to share. My favourite part would be the mulled cider. It was spicy and sweet, ideal for the cold weather! Service was great. The staff was informative and kind. We would definitely come back again!
