"Vibrant restaurant and bar focusing on Seasonal Australian produce designed to share in a relaxed Neighbourhood dining setting. My go to place for a boozy dinner with family and friends. Its the service that gets me though, passionate people that know their shit but deliver it in a relaxed and informal manner." - Wilhelmina's by 8 Hospitality

Cool hang-out in Balmain. Excellent seasonal produce drives the menu, which changes throughout the day. Every dish has a more than subtle twist and undeniable taste. Beware the sharing portions are huge. And you need room for the mains - like the sensational New York steaks - or delicious desserts. And, don't forget the wine, no you shouldn't. And lots of Happy Hour time in Wilhelmina's and happy staff.

Snazzy joint with casual yet also a superbly designed interior to appear modern and can easily appeal to any sort of customer. Staff here are generally quite friendly but often single staffed since it’s not always busy. The menu here is pretty broad and has a great range of foods to snack on or even have a meal at, though with a slightly higher price that they ask for. They host a DJ every saturday noon-evening from the looks of it too which brightens up the venue and draws people in, with fantastic company around too. Ronan seems like an awesome bloke with incredible potential in the industry, and with Wilhelmina’s providing the foundations for the start of his career, it shows that they really care about their locals!

We can not rate Wilhelmina’s highly enough! Michael and his team were very accommodating and helpful when hosting our wedding reception. The venue is absolutely perfect, the staff are friendly and the food is delicious. Wilhelmina’s is the perfect spot for any intimate celebration. Thank you Michael, it was all perfect!

This place is such a gem. There is a Tuesday and wednesday pasta special and on the sunday there was all day happy hour... So cocktails and drinks were really well priced. The pan fried gnocchi is one of the best in Sydney. The steak sandwich in sourdough bis extremely fresh and goes well with the fries. The trimmings in the cheese and meat board are generous. we will be back soon

Decent grub and a nice atmosphere. A little on the pricey side for me, but all good. Best to get a reservation or come in early before the dinner rush. Warm and friendly staff too.

Our Saturday breakfast was very good, relax ambiance, chic deco. Food and non alcoholic beverages were good. But if you are without kids, a coctail is also a good option. Prices are ok.

Popped in for a Sunday brunch. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Food was mixed, my eggs Benny was great, wife's banana bread was so-so.

Really nice place, elegant and comfortable. Really good food and really nice wait staff. I'll come back for sure.

Yelp
Had a really enjoyable night here on Saturday. Not too full, enough space between tables to talk so not too noisy, plenty of great wines on the list and a bar attached across the hall which means you had two areas you could go to depending on what you are focused on (food obviously). The wait staff were brilliant, one of the male wait staff was absolutely amazing, had his head wrapped around every menu item, encouraging to try other items we would not normally try (brussel sprouts!). Subtle upselling, but not too obvious. Really quite brilliant. Dishes arrived really quickly (we didn't try the rump cap which apparently takes 20 minutes). Loved the sprouts, school prawns and trout dishes. Could have skipped the cheese platter (I always find Australian cheese platters disappointing, wherever in AU) and we were stuffed - didn't even have room for dessert. Will be back.

Yelp
This place was opened a couple of years ago by a former contestant on master chef and it is one of my favourite restaurants in my all time fav Sydney suburb - balmain. The menu changes regularly and the dishes are best shared - all immaculately presented with interesting flavors and top quality local ingredients. The place is effectively split in two with one area having lounge spots and the impressive floor to ceiling bar and the other closer to the kitchen - if you are lucky enough sit infront of the chefs and engage in some banter and of course buy them a drink or two! There is also outdoor seating but this is close to the road and I much prefer to sit inside and take in the funky decor. As the menu changes regularly be sure to keep coming back for more! If you live in the area sign up to receive emails for new menu tastings!

Yelp
Wilhelmina's is a gorgeous bar on the main drag (Darling St) of Balmain. I've been here quite a few times since moving to Sydney - and usually it's my last stop with friends after a night of dinner and drinks. Wilhelmina's Espresso Martinis are spectacular! They're secret is using rum instead of vodka which gives them a whole other layer of flavour and intensity. The staff are fantastic, always friendly and seem to know exactly what you're in the mood for (whether it be a chat and interaction, or a polite smile and being left with your friends etc.)

Yelp
Great atmosphere for small or large groups. Came in later in the night and got a seats at the bar. Crowd is mixed but very fashionably dressed. Highly recommend the espresso martini.

Yelp
Stunning decor, unobtrusive service and spectacular food - all this in Balmain! Yum! Loved this place and thoroughly enjoyed every morsel. Well done inner westies!

Yelp
Another great bar from the guys that brought you grandmas and the wild rover. Decent beer selection, although none on tap. Good wine selection by the glass and better selection by the bottle. Really good cocktail list. And usually one in happy hour. Amazing food. Pork balls. You must get these. Chicken wings are amazing. And the school prawns were a surprising hit. Overall a laid back place to get your drink or food on.

Yelp
The food is top notch. Very creative, and absolutely delicious. Serving sizes are a little small, but your eating these dishes for the taste. We had a great meal, complimented with some very tasty cocktails from next door. Great night, only let down by the (new?) waitress who was struggling making orders and getting the food out. It happens, and was an inconvenience, but not a deal breaker. Will definitely come back here.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday night when they had pork ribs + wine for $19. Pretty amazing deal. Ordered crispy cauliflower on the side, and enjoyed every morsel of it. Service was attentive, without being obtrusive. Great ambiance. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
Such a cute venue, really nice ambience. The prawns were amazing and the BBQ corn was great! Nice staff too, it all added up to a 10/10 night

Yelp
Fantastic night out. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic, in a big fan of share plates - the gnocchi, polenta and prawns were the favourites... we ordered several dishes and didn't have a bad or even ordinary one like you sometimes get with places that do the share plates...

Yelp
The setting is lovely and the wine list extensive and good but the food is disappointing. Stringy beef croquettes and tasteless charcuterie plate.
