Nestled in Grand Central Market, Wexler’s Deli serves up irresistible house-cured pastrami and bagels with lox in an effortlessly charming space.
"Tucked deep in the heart of Grand Central Market, you’ll find an outfit of stainless steel and subway tile playing host to satisfied faces and smiling mouths. That is, if you can get past the eager patrons wrapped around the corner waiting to wrap clean fingers around what everyone else seems to be eating. The pastrami sandwich at Wexler’s contains a non-traditional thick cut of meat, which enhances the flavor of peppered edges, juicy meat, and melt-in-your-mouth strains of fat. It’s a contemporary take on the classic Jewish deli, complete with a side of pickles and black-and-white cookies." - Canopy
"Anyone who thinks a good deli has to have been around for several decades will be proven wrong at Wexler’s. This stall near the center of the market is home to some of the best pastrami in Los Angeles, smoked in-house and sliced to order. We usually go for the MacArthur Park sandwich (an ode to Langer’s, of course) with coleslaw, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing piled on top. But for as close to perfection as that sandwich is, the bagel and lox might be even better. And don't forget a black and white cookie." - Brant Cox, Nikko Duren
"The usual suspects appear on Wexler’s high holidays dinner menu: For four to six people, the $295 Rosh Hashanah pick-up menu includes traditional holiday brisket, a big, seasonal salad, the store’s signature matzoh ball soup, noodle kugel with a walnut crumble, and slightly more Rosh Hashanah-specific dishes like heirloom carrots roasted in honey and honey cake for dessert." - Eater Staff
"Tired of having to coordinate a group lunch order at Grand Central Market? Let your coworkers fend for themselves and get a sandwich from Wexler’s, instead. Everything on the menu is hefty, so no matter what you order, plan for a light dinner later. Maybe at a small plate place." - brant cox, brett keating
"One of our favorite Jewish delis just launched a new sandwich for the month of April. In partnership with King’s Hawaiian, it’s called the Aloha Reuben - a “Hawaiianized twist” of the iconic sandwich served on toasted King’s Hawaiian Sliced Bread. The sandwich also comes with a few pieces of caramelized pineapple (to contrast the corned beef’s saltiness), and will be available at both of Wexler’s Santa Monica and Downtown LA locations, as well as for national delivery via Goldbelly." - kat hong
