Wana Yook

Beautiful settings but feels overrated. Food was interesting but service didn’t match up their reputation. The service staff dropped food and cutlery 3 times during our meal… For this price, you’re better off going to a family restaurant for an authentic Thai experience.

A night with “rice”, Thai dishes are influenced from southern Thai. Main dishes are different curries with 4 kinds of Thai rice, very spicy yet delicious. The service team are friendly and nice, I enjoyed the dinner at Wana Yook a lot.

This enchanting restaurant nestled within a historical villa is a true gem. The ambiance, lighting, and attentive service contribute to its allure. The cuisine, a delightful fusion of modern Thai flavors with intriguing combinations, is exceptionally delicious. While the last main dish leans a bit heavy, it's worth noting that non-alcoholic pairing options are not available. Nevertheless, I express my gratitude for a truly wonderful evening.

We went on a journey of “rice”, as the tasting menu had different styles curry to pair with different rice so we were really full by the end of the meal. Also, the curry is rather spicy, so be prepared!

The vibe is like being wrapped in a Thai food-loving hug. 🤗 Now, let's talk about the menu – it's like Willy Wonka went to Thailand and decided to create a masterpiece. Mocktails? Nailed it. First bites? A symphony of Thai flavors in a pocket-sized explosion of yumminess. Picture this: "Kin-Len" – a parade of tiny appetizers, each one a mini work of art. Seasonal delights? Beef course that's so good, it'll make you do a happy dance (Beef Shank Tom Jiw, you rock). Tom Kha Gai, Fish Course with Tepo Curry and Soy Ginger Goby – hello, taste bud party! But wait, there's more! Daily relish, Kao-Gaeng Wana Yook (seriously, it's like a flavor rollercoaster for your mouth), and the grand finale – dessert (Ka-nom Piakpoon). It's like they're playing a delicious game of Thai food Tetris on your plate. Now, the staff – oh, these food wizards know their stuff. They spilled the beans on how each dish is conjured up, the secret ingredients, and even where they come from. It's like a behind-the-scenes tour for your taste buds. Sure, the pace is a bit slow, but who's rushing? We're in for the long, flavor-packed haul, baby! By the end, I'm full, content, and already plotting my return to this Bangkok gem. Truly a wonderful experience 🥹 I’ve never given reviews but Wana Yook deserves a raving one!! Food is fantastic (with a little spice kick now and then), service exceptional and atmosphere simply magical ✨ Been to other Michelin restaurants and personally feel that this one’s on a level of its own (: if you’re in BKK and love Thai+rice dishes please give this lovely place a try!

I wish I could give an extra Star to this amazing restaurant! I had dinner at Wana Yook for a special occasion and they went above and beyond my expectations. The food was incredible and we had so many courses with the chef menu, we couldn't eat anything else after the dessert, we were so full! I loved everything, from mild to spicy. You deserve a second Michelin star 🌟

First time for Thai fine dining experience. No doubt, top quality of raw materials, the way each dish was cooked, presentations and of course very delicious. However, this is not really a type of dining experience that I prefer. Still recommended for those who love Thai foods that still do not transform that much in a fine dining atmosphere.
