We have been here a few times and now finally writing my review. We popped in on Tuesday night to grab a light bite. However, we were unexpectedly surprised with their Tuesday Steak Night special that just rolled out on 11/12. You get to choose a 12 oz ribeye or NY strip and choice of two sides from the steak night menu for $31. There are prices next to the side items on the menu in case you want more than two sides. We had the ribeye with fondant potatoes and chili lemongrass cauliflowers. Steak was well seasoned and topped with a garlic butter and cauliflowers had a kick. Highly recommend that you check this out! Also try the Vietnamese iced coffee will give you any needed caffeine fix. Tuesday night was lively, most likely because of the steak night special. Lots of plants throughout the space and dimly lit with large bar for your alcohol seeking lovers. Service here is always excellent, from front to back. The attached parking lot is small but there is additional parking lot across the street in the lot with signage.

This place is awesome. Definitely authentic Vietnamese home cooking. My wife was in heaven. Gonna have to bring my in-law next time. The service was great. They had a great cocktail menu with a few non alcoholic options. The restaurant was very cute and clean. It's nice to see a family owned restaurant that doesn't use the bathroom for extra storage.

Houston is full of Vietnamese restaurants, and Moon Rabbit is a favorite option for me. The food is delicious and also unique to typical cuisine. The ingredients were fresh, and the food presented beautifully. The service is always friendly, and prompt. I have sat in the dining room and at the bar both. And the experience is the same: friendly servers and bartenders as well. I continue to return and definitely recommend.

We went here for Sunday lunch and were seated quickly and got the shaken beef, vietnamese cold cut banh mi and the carpaccio! I HIGHLY recommend the banh mi and shaken beef!! But NOT the carpaccio unfortunately. the banh mi ($8) was a great price and well worth it! The veggies were fresh and the bread was soft and crunchy! I can imagine myself coming back here just for the banh mi to get a quick cheap lunch! The shaken beef ($27) was also amazing! It is on the pricey side but I think it's worth it especially if you're going with someone else as it's big enough for two people! So much flavor in the meat, it was so well seasoned with a nice lemon kick too! The carpaccio ($14) was the only thing I was pretty disappointed in and would NOT reccomend!! Honestly it just didn't taste like much? there was a strong lemon flavor that hits at first in your mouth but after a few seconds it goes away and the beef just tastes really raw, so we really didn't like it. Lastly, the ambience was nice, minimal noise and the restaurant decor is quite pretty inside!

I definitely like the modern take on Vietnamese food here at Moon rabbit. Great ambience and friendly service. They have a unique large menu. We got the shaken beef, salt, and pepper squid, cod, and cocktails. The cocktails were very great and very flavorful. The song pepper squid was probably my favorite. Note, lots of spices in all the dishes. The cod was OK, I wish it was catfish instead. The shaken beef was very good, not too chewy.

Visiting Houston Heights area for the first time. What a great area for shopping and food! Moon Rabbit has traditional Vietnamese cuisine with an elevated atmosphere. Our server Hana was fantastic and adorable. We ordered the Bun Bo Hue and Chicken Goi . The Bun Bo Hue came with shrimp paste and lemongrass chili paste on the side to adjust to your taste. Flavor was clean, not too heavy or rich. The chicken goi was a salad with lots of vegetables, tender shredded chicken, and a light, bright dressing. Portions are large enough to do "family style". The restaurant has a bar as well. Nicely decorated with large windows. A good place for date night or dining with friends.

Let me start by saying the sign outside on the corner is small. I missed it and had to drive back around. Street parking was easy. There's also a small lot next to the art gallery on the side street. Loved my server, Hannah! She made such great suggestions and checked on us regularly. I ordered the turmeric tea. They bring it out with honey and it was so great! We got the clay pot fish and lemongrass pork. Both were really tasty. It was a nice atmosphere. Super chill and has a nice bar too. A good place to go by for a drink after work!

The uncooked rice says it all. The tofu spring rolls were a decent size with a crunchy filling, but the pho lacked the depth of ginger flavor it needed. The shaken beef was the only dish that stood out, but even that wasn't enough to redeem the meal. With so many better options out there, I wouldn't waste my time or money here again.

Friendly staff and clean restaurant! Quick service and lots of seating. I only got the brisket phở as I'm really trying to find a phở place to regular at. It was as always a good portion, especially of meat. Broth was decent and the additions seemed fresh. It was $12 and very filling. I'd give it another try and try some other dishes for sure! Fyi the parking lot can be easy to miss so keep your eye out!

Stopped by with the boyfriend looking to try a new restaurant... and we really had to look for it! It's hard to see this restaurant from the street after dark due to lack of signage. The external area is also a bit unwelcoming. But there is a private parking lot with a few spots, and once you make it inside, the servers are nice and the interior is chic and cozy. The food is fusion-style, so don't come expecting authentic Viet cuisine. The menu is creative, and while we had a somewhat mixed experience with the food, every item was beautifully plated. We tried the following: - Banh Xeo Tostada (4.5/5): Our unanimous favorite and was exactly as described - Thit Kho (4.5/5): Tender, sweet, and well marinated. LOVE thit kho and they did a great job with it - Crab Pockets (2/5): We were kind of expecting something like a hot pocket? Maybe something more like banh pate so with crab... but instead it was a rice paper pocket. The whole thing was just so soft and one note - Garlic Butter Shrimp Rice Bowl (3/5): Not a whole lot of flavor or texture on the shrimp. I wish I would have gotten the Fried Garlic Shrimp instead While the food didn't exactly blow us away, the ambiance makes for a romantic date night and we enjoyed the experience overall. - Ambiance: 4/5 - Food: 3/5 - Service: 5/5

Came here on my friend's suggestion to have lunch to her and it was pretty tasty! Honestly this sandwich was like a Vietnamese French dip and the soup was super flavorful. Everything was hot and a perfect temperature. I didn't love The banh mi bread. Something was off about it. It wasn't French bread ish enough. Overall a good meal and a good price!

Tried out this place during lunch time on a Friday. There was a nice lunch crowd at around 12 pm but still plenty of tables open. The place is really cute and hip inside which I loved. They also have an extensive cocktail menu that I would like to try next time I come when I am not on my work lunch break LOL. For my entrée I ordered the garlic butter shrimp vermicelli. The shrimp was so flavorful and a nice size. I really liked it! The only reason this dish was not 5 stars for me was because the vegetables that came in this plate was just a spring mix that did not taste super fresh to me. My friend ordered the chicken pho and her dish looked amazing! I definitely want to come back and get that next time. Overall the service was good, food was decent, and the vibes were great. I will probably be back to try more of their dishes and drinks!

I would eat the salad multiple times a month if I could. The shrimp was grilled nicely, the veggies were fresh and crunchy, and the salad dressing was fishy/limey/salty in all the right ways. Our server was helpful with suggestions and very attentive. I was so hopeful this place was gonna blow me out of the water but I was extremely let down. First, parking was a nightmare. Then, the service was awful. Slow and inattentive. Took several times flagging our waitress down to ask for the check. The overall vibe was modern with an Asian flare. We got the tostada and the spring rolls to start. Tostada was mediocre at best. I did enjoy the spring rolls. My guest and I both got the shaken beef on the recommendation of the waitress that barely cared about our table. It came out and for $27 I expected more beef? It was basically a salad with some beef tips on top. Value here was not matching up. I didn't want a steak salad. I wanted a beef dish. Afterwards, I was still so hungry that we got the bread pudding for dessert. Then trying to get the check was a whole ordeal. There's a $3 charge for splitting the check which is kind of annoying. I won't be back.

Elevated Vietnamese comfort food is the attraction at this Heights eatery, which occupies a square one-story building set with stylish and colorful décor. The ambiance was awesome and supplemented with excellent service, but I ultimately felt that the items we ordered were conceptually fantastic but fell a bit flat. My cocktail, the "back up terry!", was a sort of tiki riff with rum, mezcal, pineapple, and ginger. It wasn't bad but I found it a bit spiky, which is to say the transitions between flavors felt abrupt. The visual aspect of each dish was top-notch. For example, the Banh Beo, a popular street snack from the Hue region of Vietnam consisting of mini rice pancakes, was artfully imagined as white disks dusted with dried shrimp and chicken skin, garnished with microgreens and a drizzle of scallion oil. The contrast in texture between the elastic cakes and crunchy toppings was compelling, and the vegan fish sauce on the side was punchy and sweet. The Miso-marinated Claypot Fish was decent but nothing I would run to order again. The fish sauce caramel had a nice umami funk, but the fish was a bit gummy rather than melt-in-your-mouth tender. It's probably tough to get the timing just right and avoid overcooking the protein when it continues to steam in the clay pot. Lastly, the Papaya Salad was flavorful with crunchy shreds of papaya, minty herbs, fried egg, and a very necessary pungent sauce. Realistically, I found the food itself to be a 3.5/5 but the menu showed a ton of promise. Nothing was necessarily subpar, but nothing particularly stood out as exceptional either. I went pretty early in the restaurant's life, so perhaps I owe it another visit to see how things have progressed.

Absolutely delicious! 10/10 would recommend. I was in town for work, merely 3 days and one night I wanted to try something Houston based that I wouldn't find anywhere else. The bartender was tuned in and attentive despite being busy. You can tell it's a popular place, the vibe is very casual but honestly the decor and ambiance allows for anything. Date night, work happy hour, you name it!

Cool modern Vietnamese restaurant in the Heights. We've been hearing rave reviews about this place, so we were excited to finally check it out. We went on a Saturday night with a reservation, and the place was popping. The place has a very modern aesthetic - definitely not your typical Vietnamese joint.. Our server was very friendly and prompt. We got the spring rolls and banh xeo tostada for starters. The spring rolls were pretty basic while the tostada was a fun take on traditional ban banh xeo. For mains, we ordered family style. We got the clay pot fish, shaken beef, and salt pepper squid. The favorite was definitely the squid - everything was perfect including the green sauce and the addition of the confit garlic. Not your typical salt pepper squid for sure. The clay pot fish was also good, and the beef was super tender on the Bo luc lac. We also got the Thai tea crème brûlée for dessert which was just delightful. This place definitely has great iterations of traditional dishes. I'll definitely be back for date night or even just a group dinner with friends. Definitely recommend!

Great spot for dinner! I've been here twice with family and friends and enjoyed both visits. The menu offers a variety of modern Vietnamese dishes from vermicelli to pho, shaking beef, spring rolls, and more. The Vietnamese coffee espresso martini is a must, a twist on the classic with bold coffee flavor and hints of orange. The interior is what I would call "nice casual" with a variety of high tops and regular tables and bar seating. Service was attentive. I also appreciate the fact that they ask if you would like all of your menu selections at one time or as they are prepared. Definitely recommend for your next date night or dinner with friends!

Casual yet romantic restaurant, a great place for a chill date night. Interior decor is modern and serene. If you are looking for a semi-upscale Vietnamese food without breaking the bank, this is your place. Food is overall good, 7 out of 10. We tried: Miso marinated claypot fish: a traditional Vietnamese dish with a modern twist. Caramelized cod is sweet and tender, served with fish sauce + caramelized brussel sprouts. Definitely on the sweet side, it's unique and tasty. Pho Dac Biet: this is the combination meat pho. We were not impressed by this dish, temperature of the broth is lukewarm, can hardly ever cook the herbs and bean sprouts, the amount of meat is small. Taste is okay. Shrimp goi: love the presentation of the salad, it comes with crispy shrimp chips. A novel dish to get. Shrimp is meaty, juicy and tender. Pork vermicelli: the most filling dish, with a generous of rice noodle, topped with flavorful meat and crunchy peanut. Can't go wrong with this one. Glad we came here and tried it out.

Found my new upscale Vietnamese spot!!! The peppers and aioli were SOOO good. I always love a viet egg roll wrapped in lettuce, their dipping sauce here was great. Shaken beef was definitely the star of the show! I'd love to come back and try more dishes like the tostada & branzino. The El Tigre drink might be my favorite new cocktail in the entire city. I LOVED it, it was the perfect balance of spice. The flavor profile of the drink was incredible. Service was amazing, our waitress helped with some suggestions and was very patient with us as we wants to take our time at dinner. Vibes inside were very cute & had a good crowd on a Saturday night. Will be back!

The service was great and the ambiance inside was modern and clean. However, the food lacked depth of flavor for me. My favorite was the banh xeo, which was a fun take on this and was super tasty. I think I was just very excited about the vermicelli bowl and then was sort of let down when it lacked the flavor from the sauce and lemongrass. The spring rolls and shishito peppers were good but not particularly memorable.

We came here without reservations on a Saturday for dinner and surprisingly there was about a 45 minute wait. Luckily, there were a few spots open at the bar and we were able to sit and order food there. The menu is basically a mix of elevated but also traditional Vietnamese dishes. For food we had Carpaccio - 5/5 it's hard to find a good carpaccio, i would come back just for this Banh xeo tostada - 4/5 unique take on banh xeo, a little hard to eat but tasty Grilled pork vermicelli - 4/5 pretty standard, i would prefer more noodles than the amount of veggies Egg rolls - 4/5 a little pricey for the portion but they were very crisp Shrimp and pork spring rolls - 4/5 standard spring rolls maybe too many veggies Fried chicken sandwich - 2.5/5 the baguette was really good but the sandwich itself was missing flavor. all i could taste was spice Garlic butter shrimp rice - 4/5 shrimp was flavorful and buttery Service was good and the food came out quickly, the restaurant is also very cute. Overall, I can't wait to come back and try their main entrees as I was trying out the appetizers and more traditional dishes this time. I hope the portions are reflective of their main entree pricing.

Loved Moon Rabbit! The service was fantastic as we were seated promptly. The place is modernized and decorated beautifully. Cool mural art and modern decor. We sat in a table and ordered spring rolls, bahn mi, and vermicelli bowls. Our server Hana was so kind and explained the menu to us, offered recommendations, and accommodated us wanting to share our meals. She made sure to bring out sauces and spices and our food was served so quickly. The only reason I didn't give five stars was due to parking. We had to circle around a few times but we finally found a spot. Other than that, everything was fresh and delicious! We will certainly go back to try more.

BEWARE. In the last 4 months we have dined at this restaurant twice. They have no security guards patrolling the establishment like many restaurants have had to employ unfortunately. First time we ate there our Jeep that was parked on 19th street right in front of the establishment had two tires slashed. Second time we ate there (last night) we parked right across the street in what we thought was their parking lot (apparently it was some one else's) and had two side windows busted into. Not sure if this was two isolated incidents (two for two) but in my opinion, I would suggest parking in their parking lot around the building where they apparently have cameras. Its unfortunate that I was the lucky recipient of 2 incidents but I want others to be sure to not keep anything visible in their car and (since they have no security patrolling the establishment) park in their lot that has a camera (not sure if that deters incidents but anything that helps is good). Make sure to read and understand the posted parking disclaimer on their parking lot. Food was fantastic BTW.

Nothing was bad, but nothing was good. The food was fine. A little higher priced than I thought was warranted. Waitstaff was nice.

Good quality Vietnamese food in The Heights. Came in for a weekday dinner and service was good. We sat at the tables but there is also a nice bar area. Elixir of Immortality: This Specialty cocktail was ok, if you like elderflower give it a try. If you do not It may be on the sweet side for you. Highball: Fine, its a highball. I would probably pass unless that's your jam. Shaken Beef: $27, for a good sized portion. Its a little expensive for those who are used to getting shaken beef at other restaurants, however the cuts of beef are high quality. The dish is very nicely put together all the ingredients were cooked nicely. And they give you a good amount of salt/pepper/lime, to dip the beef in. Most places seem to skimp on that or not include it at all. It came with a small bowl of rice on the side. Price aside I will say this is some of the best shaken beef I have ever had. Sandwich, Banh Me: Cold cut $8, Viet ham, pate and thin-sliced pork belly. All the meats tasted fresh and balanced. The bread was firm yet soft, I personally am not a big fan of overly crunchy bread the scrapes the roof of your mouth. This baget was one of the better rolls I have had. The pickled vegetables were good and crisp. $8 sounds like a lot for a Banh Me, however most places are charging $6 or more now a days anyway and this is one of the best Cold Cut Banh Me I have ever had. I highly suggest trying it out. Pro tip: ask for the chili garlic paste. it is very very good! If you are looking for Vietnamese food that is a better quality than your normal place give Moon Rabbit a try.

Setting was very nontraditional Vietnamese. Does not seem like the best place for overly large parties. We had a group of six, but seating appears to mainly accommodate smaller parties. We got the banh xeo and salt and pepper calamari for starters. The calamari knocked it out of the park! Delicious and crispy cooked to perfection. Sauce was chef's kiss! Tangy, spicy, and so good. My favorite dish of the night. I personally thought the banh xeo was so so. It was light and refreshing with a coconut creme sauce, but I don't know that I would get it again. My main entree was the bone marrow dish. I was really looking forward to this, but it kinda let me down. There was a little concoction on top of the marrow that wasn't the most palatable thing to pair with marrow. I felt like it overpowered the star of the dish. Service was nice, no issues there.

So, I've come here twice, once lunch, once dinner. Lunch: great place for lunch because they ask if you're on a time restraint. It's not super packed at lunch, so service and food was top notch. Dinner: extremely packed for dinner hours, highly suggest a reservation on RESY. Service is definitely lacking immensely at dinner. Food: HIGHLY recommend the calamari dish. Truly outstanding, and the green sauce is dynamite. I prefer the lemongrass beef over the Shaken beef shockingly! The garlic shrimp is just meh, meh meaning, I don't think there's anything special (aka could make the equivalent at home) Overall, definitely a great stop. Parking: across the street in the designated lot or on the side of the building.

The food felt like Americanized Vietnamese food, which makes sense due to location. The chicken goi was good, I wish there was more chicken pieces. It was refreshing. The banh xeo tostada was definitely more tostada than banh xeo. It threw me off, but still decent. The shishito peppers had great taste that came from the char but other than that, it didn't have a strong flavor. Egg rolls were nothing special, if you want egg rolls, it's a good pick! It came with salad to wrap and dip in fish sauce. It could've used extra mint for wrapping because it elevates the flavor. The chicken wings were great! Good flavor and crisp. I would definitely get these again and maybe the chicken goi because healthy and refreshing. The other dishes were good to try but I probably won't go back for that.

This is a great Vietnamese place. We had lunch here and enjoyed all the dishes we had. We started with the calamari, which was flavorful and just spicy enough. Then, we shared the veggie egg rolls. I love that these were served traditionally with lettuce, fresh herbs, carrots, and fish sauce. My partner had the veggie bahn mi and he enjoyed it. I had the beef carpaccio and it was so flavorful. I easily ate the whole thing (no regrets). I would go back just for the carpaccio! I look forward to going back and trying more dishes and maybe a cocktail. Oh, and parking can be tricky because when we were there they were towing cars across the street and our server checked with us to make sure we did not park there.

We came on a Tuesday night around 6pm for dinner. There was a few parking spots left, it was decently full inside when we got there but we got a table right away. While we were there it filled up more so I assume people had to street park. The service was timely and friendly. The decor is colorful and there's lots of sections of different types of seating inside, including a bar with tv. We ordered the pork and lemongrass spring rolls which were so good with the peanut sauce. I got the white chicken pho and it was good! It has fried onions on top which I've never had with pho before but I really liked it. I thought the broth could of used a tad bit more cinnamon in it, but overall it was good. A little pricier pho than other locations around the area though. Overall it was a good experience!

Where to begin.. I have had this spot on my radar for some time. Perfect combination of mom and pop stirred in with a bit of foodie heaven. Thankfully, I had a great company that was super open to all Vietnamese cuisines Moon Rabbit offered. What tasted traditionally made and fresh ingredients. We ordered the crab pockets a pork dish (I can't remember the name) and a newer squid and calamari dish that was by far my favorite. Pictures do not do justice. Highly recommended for a great foodie experience and amazing Vietnamese food! Food - 5/5 Ambiance - 5/5 Service - 5/5

My friend brought me here to try their pho and as someone who's grown up around Vietnamese restaurants my whole life, this is genuinely some of the best pho I've ever had! Super friendly and attentive service, shoutout Rafa! Will be back here to try more of their menu.

We happen onto Moon Rabbit by a change in plans tonight. Tonight was coincidentally a lunar eclipse, but that must have been an omen. We've eaten in Saigon and Hanoi at the best restaurants we could find. So we ordered spring rolls (very healthy size), we shared a wonderful salad with 6 perfectly grilled shrimp (also a very generous) and super tasty salad comb! The salad almost stole the show with perfectly seasoned dressing. The soup brought back memories of a small but trendy restruant in Hanoi. The wait staff were supper attentive and helpful. Ample secure parking without the need for valet was a plus. Yes. we will go back soo

This is our go to Vietnamese in the heights. The food is an elevated take on Vietnamese classics. The service is good. And the ambiance is modern and trendy.

At Moon Rabbit -- First timer at Moon Rabbit last night, and it was such a wonderful experience! First - I love when I can find easy and free parking anywhere in Houston.. so going early and getting a spot in the attached lot was great. They open at 5pm. I sat at the bar and ordered ordered a mocktail - absolutely loved it so much I had 2! The bartenders were very friendly, and my drink was delicious. I told one of them that I liked spicy and pineapple, and the drink she made did not disappoint. The second drink even had a shishito pepper garnish and she kicked up the spice for me. I went pretty basic with my order since I was in a pho mood with the rainy Houston weather yesterday. I had the classic spring rolls to start.. and that peanut sauce WOW. I also had the pho dac biet and to my shock and amazement, they had the original bottles of sriracha! I've missed that stuff, can't find it anywhere.. even my usual pho spot which is Pho Ben doesn't have it anymore (also in the Heights and also delicious)! They served the pho with the usual accompaniments but also a chili oil that was soooooo good! The pho was a very large portion with quite a bit of meat (I started eating it well before I took the pic ‍) I was stuffed at this point, but did get their bread pudding to go! It has a slight coffee taste from the sauce that is soooo good. The trick is to reheat it for only about 1 minute and then top with the sauce and ice cream. It had a great texture, not too soggy. Shoutout to the bartender for the excellent recommendation on the take home dessert! Also.. all this for only $44 (not including the tip). I had 2 mocktails, the spring rolls, pho, and dessert! I will definitely be back here to try more of their dishes. Such an elevated pho experience and a really inviting and warm atmosphere.

My friend and I ordered the salt and pepper squid as an appetizer and the egg rolls; both were good but the squid was exceptional, especially with the green sauce! For pho, I recommend the bun bo hue for the richest flavored broth. Service was great too!

The food was really tasty and fresh. I had the honey lime chicken and it came out quickly. They only had one option for dessert which was disappointing. It was a bread pudding and although fine I'd skip it.

I've come here about a handful of times now and everytime has been stellar Parking lot is available as well as plenty of street parking. I've never had a huge issue I didn't hear much hype about this place but someone mentioned a casual vietnamese spot and I said let's go I've been for lunch mostly, vibes are good. Went for dinner last night and got to try some cocktails. Great. The ambience in both settings are nice. Big windows for a day time meal and at night it's toned down with the ambient lighting The food is traditional viet dishes which I love. I wouldn't call it fusion maybe just toned down a bit for a caucasian palate but TBH food still smacks. I've brought my viet mom and it's gotten her stamp of approval I haven't ordered any of the pho/banh mi cause it just doesn't seem like the vibe but everything else has been amazing. Love it family style too Fish sauce be saucing. Spice level is right. Portions are good for quality.

Went here on a Friday night for date night with the hubs! So disappointing to say the least! Overpriced and under-delivered. Also, the entrance to the restaurant is a bit obscure!! There's like three doors into this place and we came around through a side door and looked like complete idiots. Lol, maybe we're just idiots haha! There is a gravel lot across the street you can park at, but parking is limited and their lot is small. The hostesses weren't really friendly and the server we had, let's just say he wasn't really helpful and didn't check on us enough. I hate it when I keep wanting something and I have to wait until the server comes around and it's rare so it's like I have to make a mental list in my brain. The interior was great. We ordered the carpaccio, the banh xeo tostada, and garlic butter shrimp rice.... The carpaccio was fresh for sure! Prob the fave of the night but still something about it wasn't really my cup of tea. The tostada was crunchy and flavorful but then it comes with a sauce that you pour over it and then it immediately becomes soggy and you can't really dip a tostada into the sauce. It's not an egg roll. Lol. The garlic butter shrimp was NOT fresh. Frozen or at least it tasted frozen! It was soooo fishy, couldn't eat it. So basically just paid $15 for a bowl of rice and I just ate that. Not really a fan. Love Pho. And that's about it. So I can see why this wasn't really up my alley, but I had heard such great things had to give it a try!

The food is great, especially the shrimp goi (which I split)! The shrimp was grilled and served atop the salad on skewers. It is best mixed in with the salad & I highly recommend it. I got the grilled branzino (which isn't on the online menu for some reason), which was amazing. I believe the dessert was bread pudding (I ate here a few weeks ago as well). The service was nice, but there were some hiccups towards the end. There did not seem to be much cooperation between servers. Our server was nice but as it was extremely busy there were a lot of tables for him to serve and it did not seem that the work was equally shared with other servers helping out at tables that needed attention. It was quite busy that night, though.

Great food and great service! We used to go to Vietnam Restaurant in the same location. While the food is different, Moon Rabbit delivers. In addition, they have some great wine!

Restaurant is cute and parking was good. They were very busy on a Friday around 7:00 pm but that's normal. Gave it 3 stars b/c if you are a Vietnamese restaurant in H-Town the "classics" better be on point. We (family) ordered way too much food.... the egg roll, wings, beef pho, chicken vermicelli bowl, spring rolls and The Mr. Fried rice. Dishes are shareable in my opinion. If we go again will definitely try the shaking beef or crab pocket and share it. Maybe like two dishes and appetizer for family of 4. Came in on a cold weekday evening with Pho in mind, was happy to see this place open late. The vibe was very trendy featuring a full bar and modern décor. We were seated quickly and service was friendly. The menu featured a plethora of traditional and fusion dishes. I wanted to try just the pho tonight and was very happy with the tastes of the broth and the portion size; meat was cooked well and aromatics were good as well (sprouts/mint/etc). Another friend got the lemongrass vermicelli and was very satisfied. Would definitely welcome a chance to try some of their traditional dishes next time!

A pretty cool modern Vietnamese restaurant. Service: staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and let us choose where to seat. Food came fairly quickly. Food: the shrimp goi became more and more interesting as I ate - each bite brought different levels of crunchiness, acidity, sourness, and sweetness (the small jackfruit bites worked really well there). The shrimp itself was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The shaken been was flavorful as well, but as I only took a bite of it I'll focus this part of my review on the combination of white rice + that lime dipping sauce which was VERY pleasant for something that simple. I love pungent/acidic flavors with white rice and this combo was a pleasant surprise. Ambiance: contemporary decor, plenty of seating, and clean bathroom.

Nut allergy friendly, just inform your server. 3.5/5 rating, rounded up because of good service. A new Vietnamese place that brings Bellaire quality dishes to Heights level of prices. I went around their time of opening, in Q3 2022. The pho was not overly salty, but also lacked depth and richness. For $15+tax+tip (~$19-20) I expected more. It was lacking in both quality and quantity of ingredients. 3/5 The fried rice felt a little bland and more Chinese style (crumbly), like it needed a little more soy sauce. 2.5/5 but the people I went with thought it was good. The banh mi's were solidly crispy and fresh. $8 is a decent price for the Heights, especially as other cheaper banh mi shops have closed down since COVID. 3.5/5 I saw a lot of people getting cocktails and smaller dishes. It seemed like a solid place for that. Very cozy environment with friendly staff that kept our waters topped up the entire time. Service earns a 4/5 because our dishes came out a bit slow.

Found this place off a tiktok and was so happy we did! Rafael was our server and was very attentive and friendly. Everything on the menu looked and sounded good so we will 100% be back.

This place is such a gem from the decor, to the food and service. It's very artsy in the decor with plenty of seating. The food here was Vietnamese modern cuisine and it was wonderful!! I ordered the fish in the clay pot and oh my god and I going to crave this when I get back to California.
