"Last One in is a Rotten Egg What’s that smell? It’s the entire island of Vulcano, the Aeolian Island most famous for its clumpy, mineral-rich mud baths and healing hot springs. Laghetto di Fanghi is the name of the famed mud bath closest to the dock. A massive pit of greyish green clay awaits visitors who first cover themselves head to toe, then jump into the adjacent hot spring-warmed sea to rinse off. Though it is nearly impossible to wash the sulfurous stench out of your bathing suit, the Laghetto di Fanghi experience is still exciting, unique and worth it. Plus it’s great for your skin."

One of the best experience in my life! Vulcano island is very attractive. You should definitely get to the top of the crater and see the view from there. One of the best views ever. There is traffic light at the beginning of the road. Most of the time is red but you can see people climbing even so... If it's not windy you won't feel the gas. After climbing we went to the sea for swimming. We were at the black sand beach. I really loved it! Such a nice view and you are like in jacuzzi:) Good luck!

100% worth the visit, the island is amazing and unique. Definitely keep time for a hike on the vulcano (1h each way) and dedicate a day to one of the many mini-cruises you can do from the island. If you’re looking for nightlife this may not be the best place, but if you like nature and want to experience something different go to Vulcano!

Stayed for a couple of days here. Beaches. We climbed the volcano. Very enjoyable. Restaurants are plentiful.

Nice beaches, if you enjoy hiking, the a trip to the volcano is a must, if you like sea, then rent a boat and find hidden places...

We went to the mud bath and it wasn't so bad but it was not hot ss I expected it to be. It was around 25° to 30° Celsius in the places without the volcano bubble and in the places where the bubble are maybe up to 100° Celsius but when you just sit beside it it will be perfect. Also there is the volcano smell I like but you shouldn't inhale too much of, it might make you feel dizzy. There was also an entrance to the sea and it was really cold there but when you reach the place where the bubbles are, it is just perfect there.

Bizarre story I have for you guys. Back in 1939, a german cyborg man and a buff dude crashed a plane into the volcano. The volcano erupted, and a man with beautiful and luscious long hair got launched into space. A giant rock came crashing down to the sea, and the buff dude was on it, but he was missing an arm. I saw that he was later picked up by a fishing boat. Hope he's ok.
