Offering 30 minutes of sauna time beforehand as a gesture of goodwill was incredibly thoughtful and left a lasting impression. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction are truly impressive! I have visited over thirty different massage studios and spas across various cities nationwide, and none have come close to the experience I had at Viva Day Spa today!

The staff at Viva went above and beyond to help us plan a perfect day following a marriage proposal. Over the phone, they made it incredibly easy to set everything up and handle payment in advance, which was a huge convenience. The option to purchase a gift card and receive $100 back was an added bonus. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service on our special day. When I went there, I had the most incredible experience at VIVA at Lamar with the Organic Fire & Ice Facial and Emollient Organic Eye Treatment. I can honestly say I look 10 years younger—my skin is glowing, smooth, and refreshed! Bri Leslie was absolutely amazing; her skill and professionalism made the entire experience so relaxing and enjoyable. I left feeling pampered and confident. If you’re looking for transformative skincare, I highly recommend these treatments and Bri’s expert care. I’ll definitely be back for more!

I visited today for a CBD massage that was supposed to include a hot/cold stone spot treatment. The masseuse was kind and the massage itself was very nice, but unfortunately, the masseuse didn’t realize the stone treatment was part of it, so I never received it. Both he and the woman at the front desk were friendly and apologetic when they realized the mistake. They offered me a discount to make up for it, which I appreciated. However, I didn’t come here for a discount. I came for the full, relaxing experience that I had planned for. Since I’m moving soon, I had saved up money for this as a special treat, hoping to release some of the tension I’ve been carrying. I don’t get massages often, so I was really looking forward to this. While the staff was kind and accommodating, I left feeling a bit disappointed when I should have been feeling completely relaxed.

I got the most expensive hydrafacial, 75 minute platinum hydrafacial as a birthday gift to myself but I wish I didn’t bother trying this location. Erin-Kate didn't get me from the waiting area until five minutes after my appointment time, she didn't start the service until seven minutes late and she ended around six minutes early, so the service actually ended up being around an hour versus a full 75 minutes. Had it not been for a birthday discount, I would’ve mentioned something at the front desk but I wanted to get out of there because parking is only validated for 2 hours and I was already running close to the end since I got there over 20 minutes early. Erin-Kate had the wrong name written on the bed and she had no leg riser so my back was uncomfortable the whole time. Zero check-in if the bed was ok - it just felt like she was going through the motions. I typically prefer a more relaxing, quiet facial experience but this felt too silent especially for her knowing it was my first hydrafacial. She explained a couple of steps in the beginning but didn’t really explain what she was doing later in the service. It was also tough getting her to give her opinion on serums based on my skin’s condition, which should be an easy task for an experienced esthetician, but she kept resorting to “it’s whatever you want.” When I was asking questions at the end of the service it felt like she was rushing out the door - no offer for tea or water after, she tried to rush me to checkout so I asked to stop for water. I’m giving it an extra star because the hydra facial service is something I would like to try again with a better esthetician, but overall, I wouldn’t return to this location so I’ll have to stick with the domain location instead

I had my first ever massage with Catie today, and it met all my expectations! Catie did a great job of listening and making me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The front staff is very friendly and easy to communicate with. I am so glad I went with Viva Day Spa. It was a very relaxing experience, and I will most definitely be back!

Where to start... My scheduled time was 7:30pm. I did get there early to fill out paperwork. My problem started when my massage therapist didn't come get me until 7:33pm. She seemed very rushed and not very calm. Not very relaxing at all. Not sure if appointments were scheduled too close together or what. I had to remind her that I had paid for an additional service. Next... I am not a small lady and the table felt very unstable and small. There was no cover on the face rest (yuck) and the arm rest below the face rest was not attached very well and gave away pretty soon after we started. Therapist said that happened frequently. Face rest adjustment felt old or cheap or something...in fact the equipment was not very good in my opinion. As therapist was working on one of my legs my toes got caught on the wooden frame on the table because the padding was so thin. When warm towels were raken out of the cabinet the hinges/door squeaked. Therapist worked my neck more than I have ever had my neck worked... not the most pleasant experience. Overall massage was just ok. Additional foot reflexology was not worth added $20. During my treatment someone in the room next to us started talking loud enough for me to hear them... not sure if walls are thin or if this person was just talking too loud. In my opinion the cost was equivalent to many massages I have gotten but the experience as a whole was not worth it. I didn't complain because I feel that some of this was not the therapists fault and that the scheduling and equipment were at fault for some of my experience. I paid almost $250 after tip and I can say I would not go back.

Fantastic services and staff. Ambience is wonderful and relaxing. You won’t regret going here! Edited to add: Skyler, Alexa, Tiffany, and Nicey as well as all the front desk staff are absolutely wonderful! I may have found my new Austin Spa, even though it requires driving and parking ☺️

My husband provided me with a prenatal spa day. My experience here was exceptional in every way. I was here for almost 4.5 hours and everything was timed perfectly, catered to me and my needs, AND they provide lunch. 100% will come back and I cannot wait to get regular services here.

Treated ourselves to the delicious duet spa package for couples. The entire start to finish experience was pure royalty. We were given a choice of welcome tea and a few minutes to relax in cozy room prior to our appointment. It was my birthday and everyone was sweet enough to wish me :) Our providers were soft spoken and gave us a rundown of the treatments for the day. We started off with 25 minutes in the sauna (with cool cucumber water and peppermint towels) followed by a full body dry scrub, swedish massage with focus on pain points, scalp massage, butter body wrap and finally a foot scrub, all of which took almost 2 hours. Everything was perfect although the foot scrub just included putting on sugar scrub in the feet and rubbing it off. No active scrubbing so I didn't get the point of it. The scalp massage was very gently done for a few minutes on only mid portion of the scalp, so it wasn't as thorough as I would have expected. The goodies bags were a great gift and included a dry brush, soy candles, chocolates, Viva body butter and lip balm. The check out process was slightly strange as the front staff were a little rude and we felt an immediate return to the real world after a relaxing two hours. I had a gift certificate for gratuity and had specifically inquired if it can be used for the same but the front staff said that it has to be paid separately. I asked her to check again and then she said it worked. Not sure if she was really not aware or just trying to get more money out of us. The package + gratuity was already expensive so I didn't appreciate being treated as though I was not paying enough. They do offer a 2-hour parking validation at the adjacent garage but you have to pay additional fees if treatments exceed this time limit.

I recently had a massage by Teresa and it was fabulous. She was kind, professional and very knowledgeable on massage therapy! It was one of the best massages I have had in a longtime! I was so happy to get the viva day special for my girls trip! While at the spa I had the pleasure of getting an express facial by Ashleigh, who was very patient, knowledgeable and friendly in all things skincare . I was so happy to get in to see her. She took the time to explain everything I asked, and gave me lots of advice about how to help my skin. I can't wait to come back to Austin for another facial and massage! Since moving to Austin and sampling most high end spas,I must say that my experience here at Viva is by far the best that I've had. The staff is down to earth and very accommodating. The providers are attentive and very professional. They stand by their word to ensure that you receive the best care and have a great experience. I enjoy Brielle. She's a gem.

First timer's perspective: we all booked the Signature Massage and would all recommend Viva Day Spa! Worth! My massage was so relaxing and felt amazing. We will be returning for sure! Can't wait to try facials and other services offered here. Of note, if you book for 5 people or more then you have to go through a coordinator and place a 50% deposit. Quick and easy process.

My mom and I both had a great 60 minute Swedish massage! My therapist, Samantha was amazing. She checked in a couple times during the service and showed me a stretch at the end to help with my problem areas. I added a hot peppermint towel which helped relax the muscles and left me with a cool sensation afterwards. It was a great price, and they had great relaxing aromatherapy. They were out of towels in the bathroom but by the time I went back after my service they were filled. We would've liked some napkins near the tea/trail mix. The only non positive was we were asked to arrive 15 minutes early but took us for our appointments 5 minutes late. The music in the treatment rooms had lyrics and I prefer relaxing spa music instead

i've been doing a spa day once a quarter at any place worth going in the Austin area. Viva has always been on my list and I got to go here after receiving a gift certificate from my mom. I guess what I will say about the spa is it's not the one where you put your clothes in a locker and you put on a rope and you get ready for your day at the spa, it's more of sit in the waiting room with your clothes on until your next service. So it's very different from Mirval or Makara. This was a great service if I just wanted a massage only. My massage therapist was amazing and afterwards you get dressed you pay you go home. I wouldn't necessarily say that it felt like a complete wind down which is what I love about spa, but it was a great massage. It was a beautiful facility and I love that there was ample parking and you didn't have to pay for that either, which is a bonus for the downtown area. I would like to try some of the other Viva locations like the domain and they also have a third which has more of a house style facility just to see the difference, but this was a great inexpensive gift that I could give to anyone without breaking the bank of some of the more costly experiences if I were spending $150 but if you're going to spend 300 or more, I would give someone a gift to an actual spa day where they can use the entire facilities like pool lunch sauna steam room and Jacuzzi just for booking one service.

I made an appointment online for same day. When I walked in, it smelled clean and refreshing. I was brought to a waiting area where it had cucumber water as refreshment. After waiting a bit, my facial person came to get me. She asked me where my trouble areas were. The whole thing was relaxing. I will say however, I have lash extensions in and when working on my face, she pulled a lot of my lashes out. Overall, the experience was nice.

Tina is an excellent treatment provider. She is very warm and friendly and does a great job. She is my regular for my pedicures. Highly recommend her.

I had a deep tissue massage with Heather yesterday. She has a really kind and calming energy, but man is she strong and clearly has a great underlying knowledge of musculature. The massage was wonderful and I highly recommend her for anyone looking for deep tissue. Lovely little oasis in town! The pre-treatment room is coed but everyone is in their street clothes so not a problem.

My 1st experience at Viva Day Spa and I will be returning. My boyfriend had gifted me a gift card for a Mani Pedi. It was very easy to redeem. Also they offer parking in their parking garage and will validate for you up to 2 hours I believe. Upon arrival I was offered hot tea, water or hot chocolate. I started with some lovely hot tea. From there I was taken to a smaller room for my Mani/Pedi. It's not a huge room, but I got a seat by the window so it was good for people watching on Lamar. I HIGHLY recommend requesting Stephanie for your nail services. She was absolutely lovely to talk to while getting my nails done and did a wonderful job. Keep in mind they also offer wine! It basically felt like a little happy hour for me lol I can't wait to go back for some more pampering :)

Viva is my favorite guilty pleasure in Austin! Jordyn does my Botox and does a phenomenal job. I've recommended her to so many friends. As a 2024 bride, she was so helpful to recommend products to improve my skin and get me wedding ready. Her Botox expertise leaves my skin looking amazing.

I can't say enough wonderful things about my massage with JJ. She was attentive to the areas I needed a little more work on and made my massage relaxing while working on all my knots. I felt great after the massage and could tell I would be "good sore" for the next few days. The warm neck pillow, scalp massage, and attention to detail like the temperature of the room and lightening made for such an amazing getaway experience. If you haven't seen her, I highly recommend it!

Have never been a huge Spa girl but decided to book a birthday celebration package or something similar for my birthday this year. Little gift to myself. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! You're greeted by the front desk upon entry while they check you in, the entry was is beautifully designed with an assortment of jewelry clothes etc to purchase if you like. You are then escorted to a little waiting room with essential oils in the air, teas, flavored waters, mints, magazines, and a comfy couch allow you to get into the relaxed calm spa mindset. The whole place at this point feels like a chic boho getaway which is my dream so I was in heaven! Your name is called by whomever you selected as your masseuse. Every person on the staff from front desk to masseuse was extremely kind and carried this calming sense about them. I received a little goodie bag, a 60 minute Swedish massage, and a scalp massage during my stay. The scalp massage is an add on and it's worth every penny! I can't lie when I say I felt so beyond relaxed leaving and it was the perfect way to rejuvenate and restart. Not to mention for a spa, I feel like the costs are very reasonable and they offer parking at no cost with a service in a protected garage. Great experience and can't wait to go back for Valentines this coming week.

I really found my go to spot for facials! Cant wait to try all the other services they offer! The front desk girls were so helpful and sweet! Everyone was so sweet at the spa! Viva is a fantastic spa! Proprietors Shannon, Maya & Laurie are the epitome of "the old Austin" spirit. Therefore it has a great staff! The level of detail and care in every service is second to none, it's a perfect blend of professionalism and personalized care.

This review is for the mani/pedi services. My husband booked me a reservation for our anniversary and the nail tech was annoyed the whole time and giving me a lesson for going to "regular" nail salons. It was hard to enjoy the service. I got a shellac mani and deluxe pedicure. Then when I went to check out, the front desk person said there was no card or gift certificate on file so I had to pay. I tried to explain that my husband reserved it for me but she wasn't helpful. I ended up paying for the service, no biggie. My husband called the next day and the person he spoke with mentioned the girl was new and didn't know how to look up his card on file when I checked out the day before. And now, less than one week later, the nail polish has begun to chip (highly visibly and noticeable on big toe and starting to lift on index finger on right hand). I wanted to like this place but unfortunately I do not recommend.

Tina the Nails Tech did a great job. Outside of all the normal procedures in a MANicure, she offered some wine and chocolates with a massage chair & hot pad on my neck. Nails are looking sharp!

My friend and I had an amazing time here and each got one of the BEST massages we have ever had (thank you Alma and Samantha!) There was a mixup with our appointments that cut one of our services short, but the staff acted quickly to make up for it and were very kind and generous in the process. We will be back!

Had to reschedule an appointment due to last minute work conflict and despite giving 24 hours and 20 min notification, was not able to reschedule or refund due to being more than 24 hours cancellation policy. Rules are rules, but life happens. I was told this was due to how they compensate their staff, yet there were many many openings in the schedule both when I booked and when I tried to reschedule.

I had such a positive experience with Natalie! She was so attentive and my results look amazing. I had never received filler before and I'm extremely happy with the end result.

Viva is my spa staple. I usually go to the location on 35th for massages and standard facials but I started coming to the Lamar location for the IPL facial treatments. My favorite service provider is Kelly S and she is a gem- a true professional with a calming presence. When I first met her, she immediately made me feel comfortable and talked me through the process. She was very in tune and closely monitored how I was tolerating the service. I'm also now hooked on Skinceuticals products thanks to Kelly. I've always felt at ease at Viva due to the cleanliness and safety precautions. I don't usually encounter more than one other patron.

Extremely disorganized, was texted to reschedule my appointment but didn't have anyone available to speak to do that with. Ended up waiting an extra hour, overall the experience was extremely disappointing. The service provided was mediocre, but overall accommodating and service was not worth the headache. *** To add: the weather conditions weren't terrible. I've lived in Texas my entire life and it was 30 degrees with no rain, so no ice or sleet were on the roads. I understand having to open at a later time but if I was sent a message early enough to be told to reschedule my appointment (within that same day) someone should be available to help me reschedule that appointment. When we arrived for our appointment, they were fully aware that the person who initially was going to provide the service wasn't going to show up for our appointment and only decided to tell us when we arrived. I could go on. The experience was not the greatest, the lack of communication and execution was such a let down. If you are on vacation, I don't recommend.

Viva Day Spa consistently has excellent Massages. I most recently visited Mark and his hands are magic. He worked areas I did not even know needed work and days later I'm feeling so good! ​

I had a hot stone massage with Jodi, was probably the best massage I've ever had! She was very helpful in explaining stretching exercises for my stiff neck!! Best "curandera" I've ever had!!

2nd visit didn't disappoint. I have never imagined an hour massage could literally change my life. All the knots and tension that has built up in my back, has prevented me from sleeping. Alma literally has the most magical hands. I HIGHLY recommend her!!!

I scheduled a spa day for my wife for our anniversary and had no idea where to start (I'm a simple man and don't have a clue lol) so when I called in I was pleasantly surprised by Kelsie's knowledge of the services and she recommended the celebration package which my wife absolutely loved. thank you to kelsie for getting me extra brownie points with the wife!! haha Looks like i'll also be coming in soon for a Mandatory facial to start taking care of myself after working construction for so many years. All the staff was wonderful and the Lamar location is our new favorite spa!!

I like Viva's environment. Very calm and relaxing. The service is alright. The only thing that really annoys me is how they market their massages. I booked a 75 min massage for 10:15am. After the consultation, I physically laid down on the table at 10:23. The lady came in 5 mins after that. When everything was done it was 11:30. If I'm booking a massage for 75 mins, then isn't it 75 mins of massage time? Not 60 mins? You pay more to have the 15 mins of massage, right? Now if the massage is going to be just 60 mins plus consultation, then market it that way. Don't lead me to believe that I'm going to get a massage for 75 full minutes. Total rip off. I've given this place a second chance and they disappointed again. My opinion is not biased because my sister and mom have had the same exact experience. Bottom line, whatever you book, just know that you'll be getting less than what you paid for.

I had a hot stone massage with Janet and it was probably the best massage I've ever had. The amount of pressure was perfect and she was super intuitive and receptive.

I've gotten a few services here. The massage at first was decent but then after the 3rd time I was shocked how terrible it was. Honestly I highly recommend going to Ace of Cups, -Annemarie Liberati, the best and the price does not match anything in town. I spent a few years looking for the right attentive massage therapist so I've done the leg work. Disclaimer, I am not the type to go and try to bash businesses. I'm brutally honest and I'm really doing this to help others that might find themselves in an unfortunate circumstance. I've only had to do this once before in the last 5 years. Usually I just yelp if it was a memorable or an extraordinary experience people should know about. Overall, at Viva, it really seems like people are either overworked or focused on pushing and adding services instead of wellness and taking care of their clients. I really tried to give them a benefit of a doubt after the first disappointment because of all the raving reviews. It was also a recommendation from a close friend of mine, who has also coincidentally switched over to Ace of Cups. Just for background knowledge, I have gotten at least 5-6 services and 2 different types. The other service I got was Botox for the first time, and I told the injector how I did not want to go all out, and was left with a cat like frozen face. It was very upsetting I couldn't leave the house for months. When I expressed my concerns the owner messaged me a photo they took pre injection to show me they didn't mess up. That was like the icing on the cake. Very rude. (Mind you it was a terrible photo.) post injection, I did not look like myself and it looked very unnatural. Every time I walked by a mirror or looked at my reflection it was terrifying. You could tell something on my face was not quite right. Now that everything is back to normal I feel like I do need to say something. This feedback is intended to help the business in some way. There's something valuable about caring and listening to your customers that's more important than your financial gain. The prices should not be that high based on the kind of service I received. Just note, one thing I've learned about finding the right service is not to judge a book by its cover. All the pizzazz doesn't mean that they actually give great phenomenal service, It just means their prices are too high and it's all show/facade and no delivery.

I was contacted by management and went back for a free service. Angela took care of my hydra facial this time and I left glowing like a new woman! She took her time and really did an amazing job. Well done!! I will absolutely be back for Angela. Thank you Viva Day Spa for offering a replacement service. Absolutely worth it. And you do live up to your stellar reputation. Thank you.

First time at a day spa. First time getting a manicure or pedicure. Had a great time! I have nothing to compare it to, but enjoyed the experience enough that I'll likely go back. $100+tip for manicure/pedicure "express" service (so essentially, $60 for each). Is that considered expensive? For now, I assume it's standard, haha.

The spa is lovely and relaxing but I keep coming back for Alma. She is an amazing masseuse. Perfect pressure and the combination of relaxation and tension release. I can't say enough wonderful things about her!

Viva Day Spa is beautiful. It is the first spa that I ever went to over 15 years ago and it was an amazing experience. It isn't huge but it has everything that you need in terms of amenities. The spa attendants are kind and professional. The relaxation area is lovely, earthy, and relaxing. The treatment rooms are calming and grounding. They have the best spa retail area I have ever seen in any spa, and I've been to spas all over the world- Beverly Hills, Rome, London, Germany, none have a retail section that comes close to Viva Day Spa. I have since moved away from my native Austin but always try to stop in when I'm in town, even if it's only to buy some retail products. Give yourself a treat and check it out. It will not disappoint!!

Wouldn't recommend the spa for sugaring/waxing, I didn't experience the other services so I can't speak to them. $100 for briz sugaring, there are multiple places in Austin that are significantly cheaper with better quality The job itself was not done well, I left with many strays I waited for +30m to be seen You have to pay to park It's a cute spa, just didn't really work for me.
