On the Grid : Vintrend

"Vintrend is both a thrift store and a platform for new fashion designers; they find old clothies and re-sell them or even print on them to give the items a new life. With this project, the owners want to reduce the ecological footprint of fashion, allowing costumers to sell the clothes they don’t use anymore and letting someone else enjoy them." - Arlette Go

I dont understand how this is listed and reviewed as a vintage store. Its more of a paca store. I went there and saw lots of clothes from George (Walmart brand), A New Day (target brand), Old Navy, zara, bershka, etc. Everything is marked at like 300 or 400 pesos so like 20+ dollars. Which is essentially the price of buying it new from Walmart. I get that it sounds better to say "i thrifted this shirt from a vintage store" rather than "i bought this shirt at walmart", but there are plenty of cheaper options all over the city to get this kind of stuff used

10/10! Love this shop. Short sleeve tops were around 180-200MXN (9-10 USD). Really cute selection of tops, skirts, dresses, sweaters, etc. Had a good number of things that were size XL. Shop owner was very nice:)
