Great selection of Italian wines, but it is the owner Marco that makes this wine shop an incredible (and very Italian) experience. We went on a Saturday night. The ambiance was cozy, full of animated conversation. Our wine arrived with free nibbles. When we asked about dessert wines, Marco opened a bottle of recioto (off menu), insisted it should be drunk with dark chocolate, and then ran out of the shop to get Lindt chocolate from an off-license around the corner. What customer service!

Vinarius is wonderful! It’s great to stop by for a leisurely aperitif, to pick up a bottle of wine for dinner (with a great recommendation from the staff) or even to host an event. We hosted a wonderful wine tasting party for 20 people at Vinarius this past fall — the wines were delicious, the food was great and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

They offer an exceptional selection of wines from around the world, carefully curated for all tastes and budgets. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a knowledgeable team that's eager to help you find the perfect bottle, whether it's for a special occasion or a casual evening. They're passionate about what they do, and their recommendations are spot on. Absolute treasure for wine lovers!

Marco is very friendly and nice, he welcomed us with nibbles and good wine. Everything was perfect and the place is very curated. My boyfriend and I are both Italian and we’re happy to have finally found a real Italian place in London. 5 stars!

Lovely wine shop on Roman road - superb customer service, Marco made us feel at home right away! Great wine selection by the bottle and by the glass. Honest prices, we forgot for a good hour we were in London and not in Italy. We’ll be back soon.

After attending and loving one of the lasagne wine tasting evenings, I organised to have a private pizza and wine event at Vinarius for my birthday. Marco was so accommodating and easy to contact throughout the whole process. The service on the evening was amazing, Jolene and Alice were incredibly knowledgable about the wines and made it a very fun event. The food and wine were both delicious. All my friends agreed it was one of the best meals we'd had in a really long time. A wonderfully unique experience and great value for money, a real Italian gem on Roman Road.

One of that places where you go once and want to get back always. Antonio is a brilliant chef, food is delicious, so tasty and presentation as beyond the expected! Mateo and Simone are great people that are always happy to help. Wonderful experience!

Yelp
Finally made it in for wine and nibbles, and am so happy I did! Our group of 3 found a cozy candlelit table in the back, and order a selection of wines by the glass that were on offer and very reasonably priced, between £4.50-£5.50 per glass. The menu is small but has all the essentials that a wine bar should have- charcuterie and cheese, tapenade, bread olives etc. After one glass we decided to try a bottle, and on recommendation by the staff ordered a lovely red from the cote du Rhone region, which was lush and velvety and fairly priced at £17.50 (plus £5 corkage to drink in). Lovely atmosphere with very friendly and knowledgable staff, great spot for some casual drinks and bites!

Yelp
Great neighbourhood wine bar. There are lots of well-priced wines that you can buy as takeaway or you can drink in for £5 more. All of the wines are excellent value and there is a really interesting range of European focused wines to choose from(mainly French and Italian). They also have a really good lineup of local beers. The staff know everything on the shelves and will guide you in the right direction depending on what you like and budget. They also have wines by the glass that rotate regularly and are around the £4-6 mark. They are now doing a simple but really well-executed menu of food: mainly focused on charcuterie, cheese and different flavoured bruschettas. So similar to what the other wine bars are doing around London but a little bit better. Their burrata is large but disappears very quickly from the table... All of their cured meats are delicious too. If you need to get out of the house in the morning it's a great place to read a book/newspaper and enjoy a beautiful Italian roast coffee and some sourdough toast. You can also buy this bread to takeaway.

Yelp
Great little gem to find in the neighbourhood. I've discovered so many new wines, mainly French and Italian thanks to the knowledgeable staff. I love going here with a few friends on a Friday evening after work to share a nice bottle and some nibbles. The menu isn't extensive but just enough to keep the hunger at bay! If beers your thing they also have a good range to try! In summary it makes all the difference to go here and speak to someone who actually knows their stuff. You walk away with something really tasty for £5-£7! And if you sign up to their mailing list you'll find about offers and even

Yelp
Just say yes! I was so excited when Roman Road got it's own wine bar/shop and this place definitely ticks all the boxes. Really knowledgeable helpful staff, fantastic selection and a range of prices. What I really like is that these guys are just as helpful when I want a glass of purse-friendly wine, as when I came in to blow the budget on a super special bottle as a gift. I recommend the truffle paste they sell, amazing for making it look like you've made a big fancy effort when all you've done is chuck a jar of stuff into some cream and tagliatelle. Thank you Italy for your simple ways to impress loved ones! Insider tip: they also have amazing coffee to take away or have in, and you can buy the beans to take home, molto bene

Yelp
Great wine selection and friendly staff to advice on the right wine for taste and occasion. Lots to choose from around £20 mark. Would definitely recommend Chateau-Bizard (2011) that comes in around £19. Looking forward to visit this wine shop many times next year.

Yelp
Lovely little wine bar and shop on Roman Rd. Great selection of wine from unique suppliers and the whole range of Wild Card brewery beers as well as delicious meat and cheese platters. The owners are always happy to give recommendations and the background behind everything you taste. They also let you buy a bottle and open it there for the best value. Really great place for a chilled out evening at the weekend; recommend signing up to the mailing list when you're there for news of tasting evenings and events.
