"Victory uses clever branding and menu design, including matchbooks, to create a sense of community and belonging among diners." - Avery Centrella
"Victory sits just off the BeltLine in Inman Park. When it first opened in 2011, it was a buzzy, trendy spot for late-night sandwiches and their famous (and dangerously strong) whiskey Coke slushies. Not much has changed in the last decade other than a few decor items like a massive tent out front to house the overflow on busy nights. The sandwiches like the heavy Beast on Yeast (tender braised beef with horseradish sauce), Tea Bird (a spicy chicken), or the Hambo with prosciutto and apple are still our favorite orders. Their stiff drinks still have the power to make you stumble. And because of their $6 mini sandwiches, Victory remains our go-to when we’re on the prowl for a light snack before 12am. photo credit: Sarah Newman photo credit: Sarah Newman photo credit: Sarah Newman photo credit: Sarah Newman" - Juli Horsford
"The Inman Park BeltLine spot isn't open as late anymore (another thing the pandemic ruined), but they still have $6 mini sandwiches that are perfect when you’re on the prowl for a light snack before 12am. Or when your sandwich life gets boring, come here for fun options like white anchovies topped with frisée and a drizzle of fresh lemon mayo or a vegetarian pastrami made with beets. But standard selections like Tea Bird, their version of a spicy chicken sandwich, are our must-orders. And while you munch, peep what’s playing on the projector—it’s usually some cult classic a la Johnny Sokko and His Flying Robot. And the ping pong table is waiting for you in the back room if you’re emboldened by your spiked slushie whiskey Coke slushies." - juli horsford, nina reeder
"Hipster city? Perhaps, but don’t let it dissuade you. The food is cheap, crazy tasty and the boozy slushies make it “destination dining”. (designated driver recommended) There is a ping pong table in the back and the patio is a great place to hang with the cool kids, so squeeze into your skinny jeans and enjoy! Tattoos not required." - Brand Bird
"Victory Sandwich Bar is a great spot to just sit on a patio, eat a few little sandwiches, and drink a whiskey Coke slushie. There’s a menu of nine different sandwiches, from the Tea Bird with spicy chicken and sweet tea mayo to the vegetarian Beeter, and each one’s small enough that you can double, especially if you spend a whole afternoon here. They also have a few sides, like smoked potato salad and cold sesame noodles. This place gets packed on the weekends, but you can always get your order to-go and go sit in the park across the street instead." - sarah bailey, nina reeder, jacinta howard
