"Situated between two lakes at the bottom of the Jungfrau mountain in the Bernese Highlands of Switzerland , this venerable five-star hotel and spa, which dates back to 1865, offers scenery and comfort in equal measure. Subtly balancing tradition and modernity, the rooms are bright, spacious, and brimming with refined furnishings and fabrics. Plus, all come with picturesque views across the town of Interlaken or the Harder Kulm mountain. There are several higher-end suites to choose from; modernists might like the clean lines of the stylish Bel-Air suite, while hedonists will love the lavish Tower Suite, with its two terraces, kitchenette, bar, and dining room. The hotel’s two restaurants serve Mediterranean-inspired dishes from the south of France and Italy, and there are twohandsome bars and a gloriously expansive spa for further diversion."

A bit late writing this review. We had a wonderful stay in Interlaken at the Victoria jungfrau hotel. The location is perfect and walking distance to everything you need; shops, train stations, ferry station, lots of restaurants, Harder Kulm. The hotel itself is of Victorian splendour, a real feast for the eyes. Check-in and check-out was seamless. Staff were always friendly and attentive. Our room was spectacular with the view of the fresh mountains. The spa was an added bonus to unwind after those long days hiking and sightseeing. True luxury.

Food was great and the place was beautiful. Nice wine menu and great pasta. Loved the gelato. And Maximo’s service was outstanding! Attentive to details, gave us good food suggestions and always with a big smile. Probably the best place to dine in interlaken. We will come back next time.

Excelent restaurant! Best in town!|Waiter Rodolfo and Alessis are very gentle and kind, they really did a great job! We liked so much that we went two days on a roll. First day we had pizza, was delicious! Second day we had filet mignon w/ pasta and risoto. Was even better!

Our stay was very nice. The masseurs know their craft and are very friendly and professional. The reception was also very accommodating! The hotel is pompous and clean. The spa offers everything you need. Everything smells nice, the lobby, the spa, the room and everything is clean and well maintained. We simply give deductions because of the sometimes lack of communication. For example, we were offered a bottle of Proseko, but they put the bottle in the cupboard, so we didn't know whether the Proseko would be charged or not. Nobody told us that you had to register for breakfast. We then stood there with full plates while the waiters frantically looked for a table for us (they were very friendly, it must be said). The spa area is also not really explained. The spa items are simply handed to you and then you can imagine for yourself what it will be like. I would like to emphasize that these are really small things that did not affect our stay in any way. It just serves as a little feedback. All in all, it was one of the most beautiful weekends that we will always have positive memories of. We arrived home feeling completely relaxed and already miss the Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel&Spa and are looking forward to coming back!

This hotel is luxury and elegance personified. The staff incredibly welcoming and accommodating, especially the concierge Dragon!! He gave us the best recommendations for food and things to do around Interlaken. We ended up getting engaged while in Interlaken and the hotel will always have a special place in our heart with the staff’s reaction, kindness and responsiveness to any and all of our requests. The views are incredibly stunning from the hotel as well - the mountains provide the perfect backdrop from our balcony. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!!

This hotel has absolutely everything you need for a relaxed getaway. It was our second stay and we will make it a tradition now to go at least once a year there. My review will be more based on a family escape, but this hotel is really for everyone, be it a romantic couple weekend, a getaway with a small or big family. We were travelling with your little one and starting from the arrival, you straight away feel so well taken care of as the staff is very lovely and dedicated to make you feel great. The entry hall is absolutely stunning. The rooms are very beautifully arranged and spacious. You have three restaurants available (one was unfortunately closed), and all of them serve very delicious dishes. Now coming to the kids part, there is an entire little house just right behind the hotel (1 minute walk), which is spectacular and you will have big issues to get your kid out of there. There is an entire room with greatly selected toys (mostly in wood), which si like a little mini land for kids as of 2 I would say. There is also a big library and a movie room on this floor. Then going upstairs there is an entire room for music enthusiasts that can properly play some music with a band (keyboard, drums, micro plus guitars are available), a more artistic room where you can paint and also a "gamer room" for the older generations...from 2 to at least 16 I would say, all kids will find their happiness in this house. They also have people there that are watching the kids, which allows mama and papa to have some moments alone again :-) And if you prefer to stay there and play with your kid, you will get coffee with chocolate or water at your disposal. It's absolutely paradise for the little ones. If that would not be enough, there is also a big pool with a few hot tubs around and a hot outdoor pool, which again looks absolutely spectacular. And don't worry for those travelling without kids...they only do a "splash hour" between 15-16 I think for the kids and apart from that it was always very calm in there. Honestly, overall, this is really one of our favourite hotels. Normally, we prefer to always go for different hotels to explore new ones, but this one got a special place for us and will be one of the very few ones where we will return at least once a year!

My good friend and I stumbled upon a true gem at the Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel: their enchanting Winter Garden. On a cold, wet day in Interlaken, we simply wanted to warm up with some hot chocolate. We ventured into the hotel bar and were greeted by the incredibly warm and welcoming Moritz, the bar supervisor. He went above and beyond, whisking us away to one of their charming Winter Garden "huts," complete with heaters and cozy blankets. These huts are usually reserved for diners, but as it was between meal services, Moritz graciously seated us. The ambiance was magical, and after seeing the menu, we decided to order some food as well. Moritz, promising a delightful experience, offered to curate a few courses for us. He absolutely delivered! We were treated to a delicious Hungarian soup (a family recipe of the chef, no less!), followed by exquisite truffle fries and a delectable raclette. And for dessert, we were treated to apple rings that melted in your mouth. Honestly, it was some of the best food we had during our entire stay in Interlaken. But what truly made this experience five-star was Moritz himself. His exceptional service, genuine warmth, and attention to detail were outstanding. He even offered to take photos of us enjoying the cozy atmosphere, capturing our happy memories perfectly. Thanks to Moritz and the Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel, our impromptu hot chocolate stop turned into an unforgettable culinary experience. We will absolutely be back, and next time, we hope to stay at this beautiful hotel!

Yelp
Superb experience across the board. Staff uniformly friendly and professional. Spa and pool are top tier with lots of warm heated lanes to swim laps, four indoor and outdoor jacuzzis. The back of the hotel has amazing wooded Mountain Views, the front including the dining room faces the Jungfrau and landing site for paragliders in the park. Rooms modern but elegant and classy. Breakfast buffet is huge; afternoon tea extensive. Played billiards and swam every day. Centrally located but quiet rooms. Pricey but worth it for a world class experience!

Yelp
Excellent view and delicious dinner. Had dinner with my friends and all of us were super happy with the food and the extremely friendly staff. I started with a cup of cappuccino, followed by regional chicken 'coq au vin blanc" and ended on a sweet note of chocolate mousse!! My friends had the trout entree and they too loved it. Everything was just yummy and perfectly portioned. Above all, the view and ambiance were just spectacular, the snow-capped mountains with beautiful lush green landscape!! A perfect spot to end your day!!

Yelp
A classic and magical stay at the hotel in May 2024. The hotel must have been recently remodeled, but the feel and look made us feel like we stepped back in time to a more magical period. The entire staff including reception, house keeping, concierge, valet, restaurant servers, and spa workers were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive to us. The room was spacious and immaculate. The hotel restaurant's breakfast was an experience in and of itself with an entire room dedicated to delicious foods. The view from our room and restaurant was breathtaking. And the pool! Pictures don't do it justice as the indoor heated pool was huge (great for swimming laps) and the outside heated hot tub (large enough for 8 - 10 comfortably) was so fun and relaxing with an up close view of the Alps. As wonderful as the hotel ambience was, it was truly the caring staff (special thank you to Laura and Francesca) that made our stay amazing.

Yelp
The BEST hotel in Interlaken. We had a Jr. Suite with a balcony and view of the Jungfrau mountains. SPECTACULAR. We saw hang gliders landing in front of us throughout the day. The staff was attentive , friendly and courteous. We arrived early and jet lagged. I fell asleep accidentally in the lounge area to be awakened by two hotel staff who were very concerned for me.... I probably looked like the area's first bag lady. They checked on my room and it was ready. We ate dinner in the hotel dining room and it was wonderful. Daily breakfast included where we had the BEST coffee ever! Would come back to Interlaken and would stay again in the very same room!

Yelp
From start to finish, the staff at the Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel were spectacular. The hotel looks spectacular, and it is very luxurious. Everything you can ask for is available: great dining options, indoor pools, spas, weight lifting gym, cardio machines, and so much more. The rooms are spacious (we had a junior suite), and it had a living area, his and her closets, hot tub, shower, and his and her sinks. Very comfortable, and they brought in fresh fruit, water, and chocolate each day - a nice touch. What was more impressive was the staff. They were very friendly, and even more helpful. The concierge went into great detail about all the excursions we could do, then took care of all the booking details on his own. First, we had a private spa sessions setup which was spectacular. It starts with a simple lunch, which was delicious. Then, we had 2 hours in a private spa that was equipped with a sauna room, a steam room, and a hot bath. The room was decorated with rose petals, and had an assortment of fruits and teas to enjoy. What then followed was a 2 hour massage. It was one of the most relaxing experiences I have ever had. so relaxing that I feel asleep during the massage! After that experience, we had setup a couple of days on the slopes. The concierge setup up with snowboarding on day 1, and then we did sledding on day 2. Great experience and I would recommend all beginners do sledding as it is the funnest and easiest to learn. Snowboarding is tough! Anyhow, the place we rented the snowboarding equipment made a billing error that was discovered on a Sunday, and I couldn't fix it as they were closed. The hotel took it upon themselves to fix this issue with me after I had already left. It took them a week to resolve it, but they did it for me - which is something that I greatly appreciate. I almost forgot to mention the daily breakfast buffet. I normally don't care for buffets, but this breakfast buffet was great. A large of assortment of bread, croissants, and other pastries with a wide variety of fresh jams, nutella, and honey on the comb. Fresh fruit juices and champagne for some great mimosas. Overall, it was the best hotel experience I have had. When I go back to Switzerland, I will be staying there :)

Yelp
May 2016. Easily the best hotel experience of our lives, and we've stayed in some truly amazing places around the world. From beginning to end, top flight service worthy of the five stars it has. We enjoyed a spacious junior suite stocked with fruit, chocolates and fresh roses every day. The room was brightly decorated with rich fabric walls and thick beautiful curtains with stunning views of the surrounding Alps. The enormous bathroom had heated floors, his/hers sinks and a luxurious jacuzzi tub to sooth our aching muscles at day's end. It was from our hotel room window that we first spied the hang gliders... One mention of it and our ever attentive Concierge, Jose', made the arrangements and off we went, soaring above Interlaken on a spectacularly clear day; landing right across the street in the park. Easily one of the top ten adventure experiences of our lives. Jose' studied us and anticipated our needs and interests. We rode scooters (with good breaks!) down First --above Grindelwald, climbed waterfalls near Lauderbraun, and took the trams to the top of Shilthorn, all at the suggestion of our amazing Concierge. When he heard that we had purchased a Go Pro video of our hang gliding, Jose' kindly offered to have the Business Center copy and email us the pictures and videos from the thumb drive so we could enjoy them without waiting until we returned home. Our days began with the included "breakfast"; a buffet feast more extensive than most I've seen in America--even honeycombs! We gorged ourselves on international delicacies and didn't need to eat again until dinner. The hotel is spacious, truly grand, and no detail is too small for their creative attention; even the topiaries with bright yellow ribbons that greet you at the entrance. We were really sad to leave but did so in style as we were driven to the train in one of their beautiful Jaguars. From start to finish, an unforgettable experience, worth the price, and then some.

Yelp
Nice hotel. A little outdated. Kinda smoky. The Spa makes this hotel. The service wasn't up

Yelp
We stayed 4 nights here. The room was fine, but it overlooks the very busy street. While the view is nice, I would have preferred something more quiet. They have a piano player in the courtyard which is pretty cool. We got room service one night which was fine. Otherwise, we did not eat at the restaurants so I cannot comment on them. We did go to the spa. I got a facial and a massage-both were average. My hub got a massage from a male masseur who he said was very good. There were some VERY noisy guests who were up all night one night. The hotel staff intervened as someone else must have complained. It helped but didn't fix the problem completely. Overall, I would spend the money on a nice hotel in Lauderbrunnen or Grindelwald.

Yelp
This place is off the charts nice. The service is not five star it is ten stars. The rooms are beautiful with amazing views of Interlaken and the majestic swiss alps. The location puts it into easy walking distance of all areas in the city. There are no words to describe how nice this place is. It's worth everything you pay. Oh and the pool is fantastic.
