Uva Wine & Cocktail Bar

Uva Wine and Cocktail Bar in Vancouver is a solid choice for a casual night out. We tried a few snacks, which were tasty and paired well with the drinks. The cocktails were well-made and enjoyable, showing good attention to detail. The service was quick, and the atmosphere was nice—relaxed but with a bit of buzz. It’s a good spot if you’re in the area and looking for a place to grab drinks and light bites. Overall, a pleasant experience!

Very nice place. Relaxed, casual, romantic atmosphere. We had been here before for Martini's. I had the Irish cream one which was great. Back again. Had a Dark matter, but it was disappointing that it came in a small glass :( every other place I had it before it came as a pint, for the same cost... Bartender is very nice and knowledgeable. He made a great Vesper martini. Sogar only had the meatballs which have a great flavour but a little bit a weird texture and could be softer.

Second visit today and very much my last one. Both times their menus said different drinks and had different ones. Except today their wine listed outside the door was the one I was keen on. Went inside and different one listed on their printed menu. Asked the server if I could have the one outside and he picked up the bottle of one listed outside and showed it to his manager, who instead of addressing it directly said to server in an aggressive tone, "if it's listed in the happy hour menu, means we haven't had the time to update the one outside", and then walked away. Server looked embarrassed and came to me saying sorry and shrugged his shoulders. Technically argument could be made in reverse (if it's listed outside means they didn't have time to update inside) but whatever. All in all, whilst the server tried his best, the level of service from leadership is poor and inhospitable and was very visible infront of my and my guest on how they even treat their staff by being aggressive to them in front of guests. Instead of honouring something they have listed, both times I've had to hear a no, whilst the manager claims to "not have time" to update a piece of paper. Drinks are alright of what I remember from the first time but not worth the hassle if service is mediocre. P.S. There's also a pungent smell in the room, hence low rating on the atmosphere.

This spot serves breakfast from 8am until 2pm. Tucked underneath the Moda Hotel breakfast is available not only to the guest but is also open to the public. While the menu consists of only a handful of items, the items offered caters to all dietary needs and tastes. The food came out fast. Everything tasted fresh and the presentation was fantastic. The pancakes were Soo fluffy it was amazing! Hats off to the chef and our server. We definitely went back up to our suite with food coma! Highly recommend. Great job guys!!

We came here after a VSO show with not much expectations. It was perfect. Drinks were good, happy hour prices were nice, and the staff was excellent! Forgot to ask for bartenders name, but he was great. 😀

Stopped by Uva for cocktails and this place was really good. There were barely any folks on a Sunday evening so we were seated promptly. The bartender is friendly and made amazing cocktails. We wanted to order the Pangea but they ran out of something so we ordered for Fireside Night Cap and One night Stand. Boy were these drinks delicious. Fireside night cap is served with a side of walnuts to enhance the taste of the drink and it truly does make a difference. The One night stand was one of my favorite cocktails with banana liquer and mind you I am not a fan of fruity cocktails. It was delicious. Highly recommend this cocktail bar in Vancouver.

Amazing cocktails and food. The waitresses were also very friendly. The hostess told us we had to wait for 10-15 minutes for a table of 4 and it was such a smart move for her to give us the menu in advance so we could get a sense of what we want to order and also helped us kill time. For cocktails, I highly recommend the Peach Fuzz and Snap Dragon! Both are very refreshing drinks.

Nikita’s style as a bartender was impressive as was his confidence to serve based on flavour complexities. He WILL tell you what is good 👍🏼 and does not hold back I love it. My “Ukrainian brother” much respect for this man and his trade! Tell him your favourite poison and flavours (sweet, bitter, savoury, floral…) and he has you covered with his amazing magic!
