Trieste Cafe

I watched him make the guy in front of me this salad and I had to order it. He cut and squeezed a lemon, poured oil and vinegar and a pinch of spices for the dressing. A stack of pita and hummus to go with. It was so fresh and delicious. 10/10

Trieste Cafe is truly one of a kind. I have been visiting this lunch spot for almost a decade now. The owners are such kind people, and their food is always so fresh and delicious. The line can get long during the lunch rush, but it’s worth the wait! This is a small family run business that is worth every penny you spend there.

Really nice classic Greek spot. It’s been in the same place in Minneapolis downtown since 1990 and the food shows. Not only that, the person who set it up still cooks and serves the food. Quality food in a nice cozy spot. You can’t go wrong with it if you’re just looking for a quick lunch while you’re in Downtown.

The best food in downtown Minneapolis can be found in a charming small shop that exudes the essence of old Minneapolis. The cuisine is delectable, and the personal touch comes from the fact that the owner and his wife are the ones serving you. Additionally, the food is incredibly fresh, with the owner literally cutting the vegetables right in front of you. Love their food!!

It is a tiny cafe in the bottom of the Lumber Exchange Building in downtown Minneapolis. But you’re not taking any wedding parties there. Best to get your food to go. MAYBE 21 people can fit in the cramped dining room. But you’re there for food you would expect in the Mediterranean. Creamy tzatziki, wonderfully textured hummus, home-baked pita. It’s all there. The portions are immense. This may be the only time we go since we’re from out of town. But they have their regulars as you can tell from the conversations. And regular or not, they are happy to see you.

I had a very pleasant experience, the owners (who were okay with me taking the photo and uploading it) were very sweet and accommodating. The meals had a touch of 'home-made' savour that just keeps you going until you are stuffed. The environment was cozy and added extra warmth and comfort to the experience.

Wow, this place is spectacular! The feel, the freshness, getting the veggies for the sandwich cut right in front of you, fresh made cold pasta salad. Must check out. A little hole in the wall delight

I love the food here and the customer service, honestly thought the chicken would be warm and was hoping it would be but it’s not - honestly not a huge disappointment cause it was still delicious. $40 to feed two people, isn’t bad 🫶🏻
