Good challenge. Very rewarding. Not suitable for everyone. Very amateur intermediate hiker here. More on the somewhat out of shape/ overweight stature. I was able to complete it, but I took a few breaks. Was 7 ÷/- miles. Stopped several times to rest. Took 5.5 hours round trip. Some people passed us on the way up and back down. We passed some people tho and some people we didn't see after we reached the top, so not everyone makes it. Just know what you're abilities are. Extremely worth it.

We were doing the tower challenge and this was the third tower we climbed in the same day. This was the hardest of the three trails since it just keeps going up. The path is pretty rocky but also has smooth paths in between. The lean-tos were both pretty well kept and we might be coming back again to try one of them. We did a little more miles then needed since someone dropped their shirt by the memorial lean-to while we were a mile and half away from the car. We had to hike the path again and it was the worst part and by the time we got back to the same spot it was already dark. We finished the hike by 8:30pm and used our photo to see the path. Make sure to download the maps before you go to Catskills otherwise good luck finding stuff.

It is a decent hike. But have to say, that the views aren't the best. There is also a fire tower up there.

Great hike, 3 miles out with 2000 ft elevation gain. Firetower is in good shape with windows. About 4 hours round trip.
