Where do I even start…this place was an amazing experience. We arrived 10 mins before open which was a good plan as a line formed pretty quick. We made a friend in line that we ended up sitting beside, which made the experience better! We got the T-Bone steak because…when in Florence. Duh! The truffle pasta was also great - not overpowering. The spinach paired with the steak was a great choice. Our new friend who sat beside us shared some of his roast beef with us which was also amazing. But if there is one thing that you MUST take away from my review…it’s that you MUST get the berry cheesecake. It was a highlighted sweet treat during our trip in Italy which says a lot, I think!! We also ordered two glasses of white wine which was delicious and amazing when sipped while eating the pasta.

Google
Amazing food! I love the rich, creamy flavor of the black truffle pasta. And you can add as much cheese as you want (the jar of cheese is on the table, so you don't have to ask the waiter every time).I love that!🧡🧡

Google
Wow. Amazing. This is easily the best steak I’ve had anywhere in the world and I can’t wait to go back already. The service was great and the prices were reasonable too. Expect to wait for a seat though - there was a massive queue when we got there. Go in as soon as you get there and put your name down for a table.

Google
Came right before opening. Seated very quickly. Service was mediocre. Cacio e Pepe pasts was delicious. Also ordered the florentine steak but lacked flavour and it was served cold. Would not go for the florentine steak but would go for pastas.

Google
Traditional Tuscan cuisine in a charming atmosphere. This place is very popular the line was out the door. The restaurant is super cute and cozy with traditional decore of a Tuscan trattoria. The food was finger licking good. We loved everything on the menu. It tasted homemade.

Google
We loved this little gem in Florence! The waiters were engaging, fun and delivered a wonderful night for our family. The pasta was amazing and all our food tasted like Nonna was in the kitchen! The tiramisu is a must you dine here Thank you Trattoria Marione!

Google
Excellent restaurant in Florence the food is delicious, the meat is perfect!! And the staff very friendly, you can feel they love to be working there. Great atmosphere and fair prices compared to similar restaurants.

Google
Great a real Trattoria, every day slightly different menu see for yourselves the food was great pasta and poulet was perfect, service was funny and the place was full even during off season.

Yelp
A young man who was at the same wine bar we were highly recommended this trattoria, he happened to be a server there, as well. He didn't steer us wrong! The food was great and service was outstanding! The wine bar that's affiliated, a block or 2 away, was outstanding as well!

Yelp
First rule of eating Florentine Steak. It comes rare so don't ask for it to be cooked any other way. Second rule of eating Florentine Steak. Even if you don't normally eat your steaks rare, do what the Romans do and go with the flow. My sister and one of my nephews don't like it rare but they tried it and loved it. Super popular spot for Florentine Steak. Since we didn't make any reservations, we arrived when it opened for dinner and were seated right away. There is an upstairs and downstairs. Service was outstanding from start to finish. As busy as they were, our waiter was patient in explaining that we should order in kilos. Our mouths were watering with anticipation. That first bite was everything and more. Why can't we have this back home?? Order a pasta or two to go along with your steak. As I am writing this review, I'm salivating. We got to visit two places for Florentine steak in Florence and we all thought this was better than the other one. We also ordered a plate of Salami and Pastrami. OMG, best salami ever and I'm not even a huge fan of salami. It's just different from the ones I have had all my life back in the states. A must visit on your trip to Italy.

Yelp
A very old school, traditional no frills joint that serves up the famous classic Florentine steak. Steaks are all served up by the gram and you can opt for a ribeye cut or tbone. You have no control over how large the portion is but it ranges from $35 to $130 based on the cut. All steaks are served rare -- they do not allow you to adjust the temperature. Limited menu and side options such as just a handful of pasta dishes and other main courses. I would not come here if it's not to enjoy a steak. Relative to other places that serve Florentine steak this spot is very affordable and humble. This is not a spot to come out for a romantic dinner as the ambience is more similar to dining in somebody's older home. There is free wine outside to sip on as you wait.

Lauren F.

Yelp
My friend from Florence recommended this restaurant to me and it appeared that other tourists also got the same recommendation. Their Florentine steak was the best that we had during our entire visit to Florence. They do it so well. We also tried fish, lasagna and salad. We ordered a bottle of wine to go with our meal. There is also a menu of specials written on the board. They were very patient with us as tourists and the bathroom downstairs is clean. I highly recommend coming here and coming early (we were here for lunch) because it will get crowded.

Kacey J.

Yelp
Came here twice on our trip to Florence. The food was amazing every time. Definitely recommend

Janice R.

Yelp
We had a few great meals in Florence and this one was a standout. Cozy, family run and a great vibe. The food was perfection. The beef filet was so delicious!! It's a must visit if you're in Firenze!

Yiqiu W.

Yelp
The place gets crowded for dinner and we were lucky to get seated downstairs (yes it has more below the street level). We ordered risotto, tortellini, ossubuco and tiramisu for dessert. Except risotto being on the salty side, all other dishes are simple and tasty. Tiramisu is one of the best we have ever tried and I almost wanted a second plate. That evening we happened to be dining with a large group of people so it got loud in a smaller underground space. And there were a few fruit flies kept attacking our wine so we were constantly paying attention to our glass which is a bit annoying.

Pett O.

Yelp
Fantastic historic trattoria, with a great Florentine menu. Unique establishment with a traditional depth, and charming decoration. Service is impecable and food is so good. The meat is truly exceptional. Do not miss the more elaborated osso buco, and the ragout with white beans. Pasta is incredible here, and do the house made cakes. A safe heaven in a city full of tourist traps.

David M.

Yelp
The place is authentic, the fusilli with Pesto was the best pasta dish I've had, and I have pasta whenever I can. Service was courteous and efficient, prices were more than fair. We were in Florence 4 nights, we dined there twice!

Nick P.

Yelp
A perfect hidden gem in Florence with amazing food, great service, and even better prices. If you want a fancy look, go elsewhere. Walking in it felt like we stepped back in time dining at a local mom and pop sort of restaurant with dried meats hanging from the ceiling. My wife and I had delicious food with large portion sizes. We ordered the dried Tuscan meat antipasti, truffle pasta, cacio e Pepe, and the "grilled beef with potatoes". The grilled beef with potatoes was a perfect way to taste delicious Florentine steak without having to order a monstrous t-bone. It was all incredible and even the potatoes oddly were to die.

Pam D.

Yelp
Truly amazing !! The lasagna was fabulous !! Felt very family feeling! Line waiting outside

Andrew L.

Yelp
This delicious meal will satisfy your soul. I happened to dine at the fine refectory in July, and ordered the classic Tuscan Steak and Penne Al Ragu. I suggest dressing slightly upscale, and avoid wearing white or light colored articles of clothing. Food arrived within 15 minutes, and was served with a cheerful disposition. I highly suggest coming here on your trip to Florence in order to fully relish the true Tuscan dining experience!

chinita g.

Yelp
Food is good, ambiance is great but service was meh. If you're a local- service is like welcome home feel. Tourist- service is hurry up and order and don't ask questions but you have to ask because you can't read Italian!

Carrie R.

Yelp
We had a great meal here. We were seated on the lower level which feels like a charming old wine cellar. We loved it. All the food coming out looked great. We had a lovely authentic meal. The pasta was fresh and so delicious! We wouldn't hesitate to go back!

Lizbeth G.

Yelp
Hands down great restaurant in Florence . Our taxi driver recommended the place and said it's a local favorite . So we tried it one night and went back the next day because the food was so good . Loved the ambiance and the staff were welcoming. Their lasagna is one of the most popular dishes and it was something I still think about because it was that good . For desert I tried their tiramisu and it was the best I've had also.

Kiki B.

Yelp
We are Americans visiting and saw that there was a line outside this restaurant so we gave it a try. It was a fun, lively atmosphere with locals and tourists dining. We enjoyed the lasagna (white sauce ) and bolognese pasta dishes. My husband had the steak which he really liked but it was cooked too rare for me. The wine by the glass selection is limited but they have several options by the bottle. Surprisingly the bread is not good so treat yourself to an appetizer.

Tyler S.

Yelp
The absolute best restaurant we went to in a 2 week trip to Italy. Mix of locals and visitors. Very friendly, helpful service, and very reasonable prices. The food was simply incredible. We started with a sampling of meats. Our entrees were a fantastic truffle pasta and the ribollita, which was the perhaps the best thing I've eaten ever. Highly recommend these dishes, this restaurant, this city.

Craig W.

Yelp
The food was fine, but our waiter was the worst waiter I've ever had. He was rude and gave us terrible service. I'll never eat there again and don't recommend this place to anyone unless you like rude waiters.

RandR F.

Yelp
I am sad I fell into this tourist trap. The doors opened at 7:00 and there was a line at the door. The restaurant has an upstairs dining area and a basement. We were taken straight to the basement. I noticed all the tourists were seated in the basement, not an Italian in site. My first theory is that they reserve the upstairs for locals, which was noticeable upon our departure. Tasteless bags of bread were tossed on every table. We asked if they had any butter, they said no, only olive oil and balsamic, which would have been fine, but they were clearly cheap. There was one waiter for all the tables. We were told they were out of lasagna after just one guest ordered. My other theory is they saved lasagna for upstairs. The ravioli was frozen for sure, the sauce tasted canned. The Florentine steak was just ok, but mostly bone and of course sold by weight. I just really felt duped. Don't let reviews and their beautiful website fool you like it did me. Within blocks you will find plenty of other trattorias worthy of your money. I have learned that I won't make a reservation based on random "best of" lists, but rather by asking friends or locals, or walking around, and letting my own eyes, nose, and the number of Italians enjoying the meal be the judge.

Ann Marie C.

Yelp
We were here in March and loved it. Back in August and a total disappointment! The service was very slow and the food had no flavor. My son's filet was barely edible. We were seated before the other tables and waited over an hour in a half for our food. It got so late, we lost our appetite. They brought us the eggplant parm before the other entrees, so my daughters boyfriend ate without us. My husband got the meatballs and he said it looked and tasted like diner food. The waiter took 13 euros off our bill and it still cost 180 for 7 with one 1/2 carafe of the house wine and 3 sodas.

Sandra L.

Yelp
Clemente, Clemente, Clemente! What an incredibly enthusiastic and entertaining waiter! On top of his immensely talented service, Osso Bucco and amazing tartufo pasta. I can't say enough about this place having come for a second time visiting Firenze!

Ralph G.

Yelp
One of our greatest meals during our trip to Italy - everything came out perfect . Highly recommend

Tiffany C.

Yelp
The Florentine steak is to die for!! Seriously, it's tender, fresh, flavorful and just melts in your mouth like butter. House wine is a great deal, as it is cheap and delicious (no bad wine in Italy!!) Our waiter was so sweet. He apologized for our food taking a while & brought us a plate of prosciutto on the house. They also serve complimentary bread and limoncello post dinner. Can't get better than this! Come here for a delightful meal!

Nick K.

Yelp
As we walked in the manager was extremely rude, but we heard the food was good so didn't bother us. Food was not good. Could see from our table into the kitchen and the cook was just grabbing a pan from a dirty pile and reusing it for each pasta dish ordered. Not a germaphobe but how hard is it to wash a pan. Pasta was bland and not good have much better Italian food back home in America. With so many good option in Florence go somewhere else.

steve P.

Yelp
Excellent local trattoria. Nice attentive service. Attractive interior, maybe half Italian people, which is a big plus. Willing to explain the menu, nice reasonably priced wine list. The antipasto that was 1/2 tomato bruschetta and 1/2 chopped liver bruschetta was excellent, as was the Pici (homemade thick spaghetti) with caccio and peppe (cheese and pepper). My florentine steak (something like a t-bone) was grilled and perfectly cooked and seasoned. Great meal. Highly recommended.

Paul R.

Yelp
In three decades of visiting Florence each year, we have overlooked this place. We ate there for the first time today, and will probably return tomorrow. The typical Tuscan stuff is in the menu: ribolitta, tripe, bistecca and tartufi, but they have everything else, too. Service is cheerful and quick and what comes out of the kitchen is first class. The two of us enjoyed our soprasata di testa, caprese with mozzarella di bufala, and linguini al pesto (all pictured) and the sr to di Manzo con verdure (not picturesque, just tasty)

Bianella D.

Yelp
The rigatoni with Boars sauce was excellent and the fried zucchini as well. The first time was 5 stars , excellent service . Went for a second time.... And the waiter was so rude it took away from my experience. However the food was good

Juan M.

Yelp
One of the best trattoria in Florence. Appetizers amazing and the lasagna as well as the wine magnificent.

Tracey A.

Yelp
Beware of places written up in guidebooks. For the most part, I'm a fan of travel books produced by Lonely Planet but when it gets to the "eating" section of them things get dicey. In tourist-filled destinations such as Florence anyplace that's "starred" might be absolutely overrun with guests. Trattoria Marione was "starred". Lonely Planet described it as the quintessential Italian dining experience but neither my son nor I found our cuts of meat to be all that enticing. His Osso Bucco was fatty and he said "not the best cut of meat". My pork with roast potatoes was fine; no more, no less. As almost always in Italy, we kicked off our meal with a cheese plate and, as always, far more cheese was featured at a far lower price than I'd ever find in San Francisco. Winning. Trattoria Marione packs in the guests and serves them in a perfunctory, no frills fashion. If you're not too picky you can most certainly enjoy a decent meal here but I'm apparently too picky. I wanted better. During this trip to Italy, this was the first and last dining establishment we chose from our guidebook and there was a reason for that.

Jessica G.

Yelp
Trattoria Marione just happened to be super close to my apartment in Firenze, but it honestly took great Yelp reviews to get me here. Having said that, I visited here twice during my stay, because it is that good! Eating alone on a solo trip can be intimidating, and I will admit that it was probably the most intimidating here at Trattoria Marione simply because, if you get seated downstairs (which I did both times), it's pretty intimate down there...lots of couples, families, date nights, etc. But the staff did not make me feel awkward at all and truly catered to everything I might need. All-time favorite dish here is not even super Italian - it's the roasted chicken with rosemary potatoes! Wow guys, this dish here is OUT OF THIS WORLD. I don't know if they douse this in a gigantic jug of lard and oil, but it is phenomenal. The chicken skin is crispy and delicious, and the meat is tender and nicely seasoned. Having the accompanying potatoes marinate in the oils just completes this dish. I ate this dish both times that I visited, and I would recommend anyone visiting Firenze check this out and get the roasted chicken! You are given a bottle of natural water when you arrive (but it's not free, obviously) and a basket of bread. I added an insalata verde in there just to get some greenery going. There are many things about this restaurant that give you the cozy feeling of being in an Italian home. The servers are all locals, the menu is handwritten, and the dishes change frequently. There is never a lack of business here. In fact, I am surprised that they were able to seat me both times without reservations. Definitely one of my favorites in Firenze, and I will be back on all of my subsequent trips!

Victor S.

Yelp
Small place, offers some good local food. Had the ossobucco. Seating feels a little bit cramped when busy but the service was incredibly nice to us. The foccacia unfortunately was stone cold and stale and their cover charge seemed to be a little too high for what the ambience offered (at least compared to others)

Linda E.

Yelp
our guide in Florence recommended this restaurant when I asked for "local food". it could not have been better. Staff was pleasant & helpful. we chose the famous Florence Steak. it was big enough for 4 people so we ate it 2 days in a row. just excellent, coming from a Chicago steakhouse frequenter! house red wine also excellent as were the roasted potatoes. I cannot recommend this highly enough. be prepared to pay but remember how much steak you get!

Linda W.

Yelp
This is the one consistent place I dine at when I am in Florence. It love it here. The Florentine steak is amazing. I have finished a 700g each each time and I love it. They will only cook it rare, no exceptions. They also don't really make changes to their menu- the table next to us asked for some mushrooms added to their meal and was denied. Priced well and excellent food. The boar pasta as AMAZING. I cannot day enough good things about this place. I've lined up early for the first seating, else go around 9, when the first seating is finishing their dinner.

Lee B.

Yelp
Food is excellent, we got the boar ragu and the bolognese to compare. Great flavor, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked. Would come back here every night. Definitely my favorite place so far. You don't get that over stuffed, bloated feeling here, because there are no preservatives are excess salt in the food to make it taste good. The food is just good because it's made with quality. Towards the end of our meal they also gave us free dessert, free limoncello and offered to give us espresso as well. The staff was nothing but sweet and helpful. Even mapped out other great restaurants in the area for the rest of our stay. Worth the wait!

Ken H.

Yelp
I think this was my favorite meal in Florence. I had the roasted chicken and potatoes and the dish was just perfect. I was with 7 other friends and they all enjoyed their meals. I thought the tiramisu was in the top two I had during this trip.

Cagla O.

Yelp
This was our first restaurant in Florence and our worst restaurant experience in Italy, during our 9 day stay there. If I could give it negative stars I would. We went there with our 1 yr old, the food was good but our waiter was absolutely terrible, rude and unprofessional. If you see a young blonde guy as a waiter there, do whatever you can to avoid being served by him. He was impatient with an arrogant attitude during our entire dining experience. We felt rushed and pressure to order asap. He was getting annoyed that we didn't put in our order during the first two times he stopped by because we were trying to get settled down with our baby. After the food arrived, he did not stop by to see if we needed anything else and we were trying extra hard to get his attention. This was likely because he was too preoccupied serving his girlfriend over at the next table at the same time, spending a ton of time at her table. He either wasn't noticing us trying flag him down or just ignoring us - not sure which is worse but we eventually ended up flagging another waiter. But that wasn't even the worst part. When we asked for the bill, we saw we were charged for a service charge for 3 people. Service charges are pretty common in places like Italy and everywhere we've been, we've been getting charged for a service charge for 2 people. But to charge us for 3 and count our 1 yr old as one person to charge for was ridiculous. When I was going through the bill at the end, I asked our waiter why the service charge was for 3 - if was actually for our 1 yr old baby that didn't eat or if it was a mistake - he had the audacity to say that it was indeed a charge for 3 and argued that the baby counted as a full person. I couldn't believe it and the second I questioned it he got extremely uncomfortable, defensive and aggressive. I'm not sure if he tried to attempt this thinking we were dumb tipsy tourists after a bottle of wine but when he saw I wasn't getting fooled, he tried to give me back cash for the extra that he charged us. It's not at all about the few extra euros but about being taken for a fool, when you go somewhere expecting good food and good service, and an appreciation for your business, especially as a tourist and a visitor. When I wanted to speak to someone else that worked there, perhaps a manager or another waiter, I could see our waiter getting even more uncomfortable, nervous and rude. When a couple of the waiters at the bar noticed the tense interaction and came over, I asked one of them about the cover charge and he explained that cover charges in Italy are standard. I said "of course I understand". Then when I asked how many people should have been charged for at my table, he said 2. When I showed him that I was charged for 3, including the baby, he went quiet and you could tell that he was embarrassed for our young waiter who got caught trying to take advantage of a young tourist couple with a baby. The other waiter that came by said "oh but he gave the charge for 1 back, it must have been a computer error". Yeah right... It was absurd, and you could tell they were all scrambling to cover for the one idiot that would do such a petty, embarrassing thing. It's a shame because the rest of the staff were pretty friendly and nice during our dinner and the atmosphere was great (outside of our waiter). But since we had this experience here, I wonder how many times this guy did this to customers and got away without anyone noticing. Long story short, if you're considering going here because of the food, I recommend think twice. If you're in Florence, Italy, chances are you are around tons and tons of other restaurants with amazing food and atmosphere. You can probably find one without a shady waiter acting like he's doing you a favor by serving you and trying to steal a few extra euros from you on top of that. Out of all the restaurants we've been to in Italy, this was the most (and only) disappointing place with a negative experience for us so that should tell you something.

Marq C.

Yelp
I was told that "You must have Bistec Della florentine ". This is a T Bone steak thick cut 2-3 inches thick! So we did... Wow I was so underwhelmed and unimpressed. It is ordered rare. And came with nothing but 2 mouthfuls of arugula and shredded carrots (salad). We also had the meat lasagna (average) and chicken and potatoes (dry chicken and no taste). On top of this tasteless table full of food, the service was terrible (average for an Italian restaurant, terrible in American taste) and the size of the place is just average (Italian standard- average, American standard - elbow to elbow). I will recommend getting bufalo mozzarella. That was good but how can you mess up mozzarella and tomatoes??? Ciao!

Marina S.

Yelp
Our first visit to Florence and it was all I expected! Beautiful city, friendly people and delicious food. We truly enjoyed our food and portions were large. Everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. The restaurant is not fancy but it's cozy and cute and staff is welcoming and friendly. The perfect ending to our dinner was the complimentary limoncello!

Dan T.

Yelp
I came here for dinner and ordered the eggplant parmesan. When it came, I was a little underwhelmed with what I got for €12. The cheese really overpowered the eggplant, and I even had trouble telling how much pasta was actually in the dish. My date got the lasagna, which actually ended up being very filling and good. While the food was certainly not bad, I felt that it was underwhelming.

Louisa M.

Yelp
I liked this little trattoria. There was a big crowd of locals when we ate here so that's always a good sign. They post the day's fresh handwritten menu out front so check it out before venturing inside. I had a very tasty plate of homemade ricotta cheese and spinach ravioli topped with a fresh vegetable medly. The servers were a bit surly but service was fast, efficient and unhurried. If you don't attempt to speak any Italian whatsoever, be prepared to get seated in the back by the kitchen. There was a good mix of tourists and locals. The tables are close together and extremely cramped so if you are uncomfortable with other diners staring at you while you eat and hitting your elbows, you'd better dine early when it's less crowded. I had a difficult time taking photos of my meal because of the close quarters (and everybody staring at the idiot photographing her food). All in all, a good meal with high quality ingredients and food at a price that won't break the bank.

Patcharaorn T.

Yelp
Tuscany T-Bone steak as recommended by the taxi driver. He told me about this little place and I was thinking...no way the steak can be better than NY steak... then BAM!!!!! First bite of the rare steak (only do rare there) juice everywhere. It was a truly satisfied food orgasm...I mean damn! Bloody like I like it MOLTO BENE!!!

Juan M.

Yelp
Everyone's pasta was hard and the flavor was bland. I think these reviews are fake. Also be prepared to pay a cover charge for each person added to your bill. Wish I would have just walked out after the first bite.

Kimberly Y.

Yelp
We ate 2 of our 3 meals in Florence here, if that says anything. Our hostel owner recommended Marione to us, and after the first night, we knew we had to return for more! We came by around 8:30 PM on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was packed! They told us there would be a 30-40 minute wait, and this actually happened to be much shorter in reality. We went on a 20-minute walk, and our table and others after us were already given away by the time we got back. Now we realize why Marione recommends that you wait right outside the restaurant! We ordered the following dishes during our two visits: -- Vegetable stew: Nothing like we expected--served on a plate without water. Nevertheless, it was amazing! I was definitely surprised considering how unappetizing it looked. -- Spinach: Too salty, and too much. We had a hard time finishing this, especially with the limited water. -- Lasagna: TO DIE FOR. I've never liked lasagna before, but we ordered 3 of these in our 2-day stay in Florence. Extremely delicious, just the right balance of pasta, meat, and cheese. I attached a photo of the lasagna. -- Florentine steak: Tender and tasty, but cooked rare--which I'm definitely not used to. A little pricey, but we wanted to try a Florentine steak in Florence! -- Fruit cup: Small and overpriced, but isn't all fruit in Italy? -- House white wine: Definitely not anywhere near the best wine I've had. Was a little bitter, but cheap enough. The servers were extremely busy and therefore barely came around to us. I think our server forgot who was seated first and took the orders in a different order. The atmosphere was definitely very crowded, unless you were seated in the basement (where we were the second night).

Nicholas B.

Yelp
I am a young traveler that does not like to dine at tourist trap places and at trattoria Marione I found just the opposite! Since the moment I stepped in I liked the place very much, as it was small and cozy while being full of Italian and local people. The food was really good, especially the plate of cheese and the house wine. I totally recommend it for a nice and fun dinner.

Florence N.

Yelp
Sample and highly authentic firenze cuisine ant fair prizes. True cucina de la nonna. Huge bistecs, excellent ribolitta. Will come back!

Elisenne S.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and it was so good! The service was great and the prices reasonable, also not too touristy so definitely recommend!

Colin A.

Yelp
Phenomenal local spot. The staff are very friendly, and the food is amazing. Don't skip the rabbit. It's to die for. I went with my three kids while my wife was taking a nap back at our Airbnb, and I'm so glad that I did. I expected that it would be a challenge wrangling my 1, 2, and 7 year old children, but the staff (like apparently everyone else in Italy) absolutely love children. One of the servers helped my two year old son roll up his sleeves, donned a napkin around his neck, and continued to come check on us through the duration of our meal. ...and she wasn't even our server :) They offered us a complimentary prosciutto plate with our bread upon being seated, and everything else just sort of fell into place from there. From the aforementioned rabbit, to the house made lasagne, until we walked out the door, everything about this place was exactly how I had envisioned the perfect eating experience at a truly Italian restaurant.

Thomas W.

Yelp
There is a certain magic in the city of Michelangelo that touches everything especially food and wine. A wonderful combo lunch of pollo arrosto e patate is a meal not to be missed in Firenze! This tiny family restaurant requires that you come early to avoid the long lines. The meal takes some time to prepare, but it is well worth the wait. For here in Firenze, a meal is a celebration and a chance to spend quality time with friends and not the TQM of hurried meals in the USA. After all, this is what a meal was meant to be! Gracie Trattoria Marione! Firenze!

Susan M.

Yelp
Stopped because we were hungry and the specials looked good. Service was decent, but . . . the bread was rock hard, had to ask for olive oil and then ask again for a plate. Pasta came quickly with not much sauce and room temperature. Parmesan cheese was dropped off and then taken away and given to the table behind us. Extra 6 euro charge on the bill & when we questioned it, the server said it was a seating charge and everyone charges it. We have been in Florence for a week and NO ONE charges a seating fee. This "fee" is not posted anywhere. We warned the table behind us. Marione's is not to be trusted.
