been eating here since 2014. their food is not the same as before but acceptable. the staff remains woman and the guard is still a guy. you could smoke inside. izakaya style so you could have a wide range of japanese food at affordable price. their vibe of japan in the 90's is unbeatable. highly recommend to try out

This place reminds me of the local izakaya places in Japan. The food is really delicious, the prices are great and the staff is so friendly and nice. The menu includes a lot of options. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and want some high quality Japanese food.

Saw this popular izakaya, and decided to visit to have something different other than Vietnamese cuisine. There are two floors to this place, and we were seated on the second floor by the grill.
First observation is that seating here will be extremely stuffy and hot, as there is a lack of ventilation (just a fan) and the aircon is located far behind at the seated areas for larger groups. We ordered the drinks (grape chu hai + highball) which was ok, quite mid but grape didnt have much alcohol in it so it was a waste.
The food stuffs we ordered were also okay, just average grilled stuff but the beef ribs was extremely overcooked but when it was served to us - it was very cold + fatty. Wasn’t edible in our opinion.
One thing to note is that this place ALLOWS SMOKING indoors, and we did not notice until the group beside us started to smoke. Overwhelmed with the stench, we had to quickly leave despite us wanting to stay longer to finish up our food.
Overall quite a disappointing experience contrary to the reviews here.

I’m just in love with this place. My go to spot for yakiniku aka Japanese bbq. The food is delicious, drinks are nice and cold, the vibe is authentic as it can be. A true izakaya experience in the heart of Japanese street in Saigon.

Torisho is a restaurant that should NOT BE MISSED when you’re in HCMC. The food is exquisite, the environment is chill, enjoyed the music and the service is amazingly fast. This place is one of the highlights of my travel to Vietnam and I highly recommend it~ You will love every single thing you order.

A great Japanese food experience at Torisho inside Little Japan Town Saigon.
The space quite small and crowded since opening hours. So you may book a table before arrive.
About their culinary, we ordered 5-style sashimi, grilled eel, marinated jellyfish and salmon avocado rolls. All are delicious and the sashimi was so fresh. I could not pick out the best dish during my visit. But marinated jellyfish with cucumber for me is a must-call side dish.
Staffs are super friendly and helpful.
You can also sit at the bar to see the chefs cook your food eye-to-eye

Always come here when we are in Saigon. Casual and unpretentious place with great skewers and shareable plates cooked over Binchotan charcoal. Always sit at the bar counter and watch the action.

My favorite restaurant in Saigon! This place has a very welcoming atmosphere that I absolutely love. You will likely spend hours here downing delicious Sapporo draft or Sake and eating equally delicious yakitori. The service is absolutely outstanding. I can't say enough good things about this fantastic joint. Last visited 19-Feb-2021.
