If you're in the Queen St East area and looking for a cozy Korean/Mexican fusion restaurant, I highly recommend this little gem. Our waitress, Lisa, was incredibly sweet, helpful, accommodating and more than willing to assist us with any questions we had about the items on the menu. We had the nachos and wings to start and I must say every reviewer had it right, the portions were huge and full of flavor. Our main was the Taco flight, which I recommend if you have room after the apps. Their cocktails were unique, not only in ingredients but flavor. Everything is made to order with fresh ingredients. We can't wait to return to try everything else on the menu.

My girlfriend and I wandered in here for an unplanned dinner after an event and we feel like we just found a new favourite!
We started with the classic Mexican corn then shared a mixed plate of their most popular tacos - each bite was better than the last. We also enjoyed a few spicy margaritas on the side for good measure. We found this place by pure luck and were shocked that it wasn't busier (but it was a Tuesday evening) - seems like a great spot to take a group of friends/family and order a bunch of things to share.
Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive - will be sure to visit again in the future!

My partner and I went here for dinner, it’s was kind of empty but looked cute. We ordered the small size of k-wings, they were good but wished they were a bit more spicy, but good flavour. We ordered chicken tacos, and the fish tacos as well, the chicken tacos were definitely our favourite. They held a lot of flavour! The fish tacos were really good as well and the portions were big, but compared to the chicken they didn’t have as much flavour.

We dined here while visiting Toronto in November and had the best meal! Starting off, the service was wonderful. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The atmosphere was cozy and fun, and we were able to be seated without waiting. The food was phenomenal! Everything had so much flavor and was cooked perfectly, truly an amazing meal. Definitely a must try if you’re in the area!

Tinga Kim is a cozy little spot downtown, mixing Korean-inspired flavors with classic Mexican tacos. It’s run by a super friendly owner, and the whole vibe is relaxed and welcoming—perfect for a casual night out.
In a city where good tacos are hit or miss, Tinga Kim really stands out. Their taco flights are a great way to sample the menu—you can choose three regular tacos or six premium ones. The prices are pretty typical for Toronto, maybe even a bit cheaper, but what really makes them special is their creativity. Most taco places in the city are either bland or forgettable, but Tinga Kim’s combos are anything but boring.
We tried the Longosta (lobster), Pulpo (octopus), Pescado (fish), Maapo Libre (Galbi beef), Al Pastor, and Carne Asada. Everything was good, but the lobster and Al Pastor were the real winners. Plus, their taco shells were spot-on—not dry or crumbly like some places, which was a nice bonus.
One of us has a tree nut allergy, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They double-checked everything and made sure we felt comfortable, which we really appreciated.
We also ordered the tuna tostada. It was tasty, but at $15 for just one, it didn’t feel like great value compared to the tacos.
All in all, Tinga Kim is one of the better taco spots downtown. Their unique menu, solid flavors, and thoughtful service make it a place I’d definitely go back to. If you’re looking for something fun and different in the taco world, give it a shot!
An additional note, they offer 10% off if paying with cash.

Excellent tacos and great atmosphere and service!
Fusion food with ginormous tacos that fuse Mexican tradition, modern take, and typical Korean flavours like bulgogi! Their patio is outstanding and we really loved the desserts, both flan and churros alike!
