Tierra del Sol Resort & Golf

My wife and I played the course on January 8, 2025. We paid $380.00 US for nine holes, the other nine holes was closed for renovations. We rented two sets of clubs. I was tempted to walk out prior to paying but I really wanted to golf so I bit the bullet and paid the outrageous fee. When we got our clubs and cart the starter told us it was cart path only which we should have been told before we paid. The course was in terrible shape. You can tell they are working to improve everything but the price should reflect the conditions, I guess they want us to pay for the improvements. I played this course about 16 year ago and it was in great shape. I will not return as I felt I was ripped off and it left a bad taste in my mouth. They will have a tough time getting anybody who had the same experience as me to ever come back.

We arrived before Christmas for an 8 day stay at one of the 3 bedroom villas with a private pool. Our plan was to play golf on the newly renovated course but we were surprised by the condition of the course. It was no where near ready for play. There were large sandy dried out patches on most fairways and the course had no signage or markers on fairways. And it was cart path only which seemed unnecessary given the fairways were most dried out dirt and grass. We would not recommend playing here right now. It’s a waste of money. Views are nice though. Could be a great course someday. Potential is there but not right now.

Overall it was a great experience renting a villa. It was quiet, staff was friendly, security was unmatched and the spa was better than expected. The villa itself was clean and the grounds team kept up with cleaning the pool too. The only gripe I have is that the electrical and the water temperature control was kind of clunky and when asked for assistance I was told, “sorry, maintenance has gone home for the night” they said they would reach out to fix the problem but they never did.

We came for a day with a resort pass which included a credit towards our lunch there. Lunch menu has many options and all delicious You have a beautiful view of the golf course, We loved it.|Can I book another day pass for next year? Is there an email address I can email for this ?

We went on a Friday for the Happy Hour and Tapas and we definitely not disappointed. The bartender was awesome and made our drinks as requested and also offered suggestions and all were great. The Tapas food as well as some from the regular menu were all great. Will definitely do dinner again there next year.

Beautiful all around. We played 9, but would have been happy to have played 36. Meticulously maintained fairway and greens. People are courteous and friendly. If you love golf and want a great course to play, this is it.

Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and presented with an elegance that matched the overall ambiance of the restaurant. It was clear that the chefs put immense care and creativity into their work. Overall, our experience at Tierra Del Sol Resort restaurant was magical. From the breathtaking views and beautiful setting to the exceptional staff and divine food, it was an anniversary we will cherish forever. We can't wait to return and relive the magic.

It all depends on your condo/ home that you rent. The location is great and there’s a big golf course and restaurant that serves amazing food. There’s a gym and pools, this place is well kept, you’ll see the maintenance people working around the clock, taking care of the landscaping, power washing the garbage bins and even cleaning up after poop from iguana/ birds. Great for kids, this is a beautiful gated community, you’ll see the security guards in their golf carts patrolling the area.
