I’ve had some drinks with friends. - The atmosphere inside is amazing, the architecture and decorations are very aesthetic and elegant. I’d say it’s perfect for a date, but also simply for some chit chat with friends and such. - The staff was kind - Prices are on average - The location is great especially in summer, because it sits just right on the Amstel and in front of park Somerlust and during summer days you can sit in the terrace in front which is also very pretty. Definitely recommend this place if you want some drinks on the Amstel area around the Amstel station and surroundings.

I just love this place. Menu is short but every item has its very own magic and uniqueness. Great service. Everyone is so friendly all the time. Always with a smile Vibes, are the very best. If you are going solo to work , read, relax this is your place. If you are going with friends or Family for a nice time, this is your place. If you are going with your dog, it's is more than welcome . The place , decoration and ambiance is like visiting grandma's home. A loving place to spend time. Any season is nice to come

One of those cutest places, truly a hidden gem! I like the decoration as well as the spaces you can use for different purposes. Good for team gatherings and even maybe for small workshops. Food is great and waitresses are welcoming. Last time we had celeriac soup and salad which were delicious. Highly recommended!

We came here for brunch while on vacation in Amsterdam and absolutely loved it! First of all, the setting is amazing. It's right by the river and surrounded by trees and flowers, so you can watch boats go by and admire the plant life around you while you eat. The patio might be the most beautiful one I've ever had the pleasure of eating at. Secondly, the food is delicious. I had scrambled eggs and salmon, and my wife had yogurt with granola and a croissant. Everything tasted great. And, finally, the service is fantastic, too. Our server was very polite and friendly, and our food arrived quickly. I'd recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in Amsterdam.

Nice location overlooking the Amstel with a nostalgic vibe. Lunch menu is good but nothing special nor fancy. Extra attractive on sunny days when you can sit on the terrace.

My favorite spot in Amsterdam for casual dining . Away from the busy crowd, surrounded by nature, situated right next to the river. The menu is not extensive but everything that I've tried tastes really good and natural like it's homemade. There are plenty of seating areas and the waiters are very courteous and nice.

Awesome place, it’s former house of director of Zuidgasfabric that was demolished. There are many place and many different rooms with nice interior that could be booked. People who works here are really nice and pleasant. It is high level kitchen. I like their menu changes and they accept cash. I recommend you to make a booking before visit.

Very quaint little cafe in a less busy area of Amsterdam. It's located in a restored two story home on the river. The food was pretty good. I got the egg sandwich with smoked salmon which was flavorful and appetizing. My husband got the vegan burger which he enjoyed as well. The only area for improvement would be the pace of service. It took a few glances and close to 20 min in between getting our drinks and ordering our food and we weren't even there during the lunch time rush. But all in all, I would come back here for a quiet lunch and afternoon coffee.

What an amazing place! Seriously! This restaurant/bar is located in this old renovated townhouse. Its got an outdoor seating area and an indoor, but the indoors are HUGE! I mean, every room is being used in a way: it looks really warm and cosy inside, it really feels like being home. It's even more beautiful when it's raining outside. You also have a pretty cool view of this business district in the East, which lights up at night. That's not bad. The staff is amazing! Really nice people and helpful. They went through almost every item in detail and described everything to us and even recommended wines. Their prices are reasonable for what you get, really good wine (between 4 and 6 Euros a glass). I had some food: a roasted pepper stuffed with vegetables (turnip and another vegetable, forgot what now) with lemonrice. GREAT! Rich in flavor, not greasy at all, not at all salty (I don't eat salt, so that's great), the rice was cooked to perfection as well. I really, really, strongly recommend this place. Breakfast here must really be something, do that!

I love this place! It is the next best cafe in Amsterdam. They have a wonderful terrace to soak up the sun or hide behind the shade.

Thuis aan de Amstel is a really special place next to Amsterdam's beautiful Amstel. The place is beautifully located in an old mansion (protected heritage) with extremely nice features, next to the Amstel. When the sun is coming out, the terrace (on the right side when standing in front of it) is the place to be: in de sun and out of the wind, with a view over the Amstel and the beautiful white bridge. On a rainy day, the inside of the cafe is also a place to be; you will be amazed by the decorations and all the features. Besides the location, the food is great and fairly nicely priced. The staff is friendly. Ps: your kids can play in the garden where you can safely watch them and they are separated from the water by a gate.

Phenomenal in every way; a real gem of a place to eat and to spend time. We visited here twice on the recommendation of locals and were so glad we did. Welcoming hospitality; beautiful gardens and indoor spaces for having coffee or a meal and reading or talking or drawing; lovely views; and delicious food, including the best pancakes I have had anywhere and delightfully buttery croissant. Wish I could eat here every day.

Four stars for the view and setting. The menu options were limited and perhaps only the salad stood out. The beef was unpleasantly tough and flavorless.

Great service. Friendly and a really beautiful place. Have. Pumpkin soup with carrots and ginger. Delicious. The veggie pasta main course was nicely seasoned and well portioned. I'll be back!

This is a great spot on the Amstel River. You can reach it by bike from central Amsterdam. We thought the food, beer and service were great. It is an old mansion w views of the river. The place was packed for dinner early on a Thursday night. Great outdoor seating if the weather is nice.

Anpleasent and tasteful place to spend a nice evening on the amstel. Out from the busy and the noisy streets you'll find a nice restaurant with good food, drinks and service.
