Wow! What an amazing place. The selection of beers is big enough to satisfy all customers. We had a lovely server at the bar who let us sample the beers before deciding and helped us choose something we liked. The food was amazing, we tried two of the smashed burgers and they were exquisite. The fries are also banging, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Plenty of starter and salads if you want to be good and they are equally tasty! The patio has ample space, the sun hits it nicely and at night they have many heaters to go around. Fantastic vibes, a must visit.

This place always looked packed every time we went to a coffee shop next door, so we gave this place a try. My friend also told me that their wagyu burgers were amazing. The cheeseburgers were indeed amazing! The meat was juicy and well cooked. Their wings were really good, too. What made this experience even more special was the ambience. Their spacious and lovely patio was well decorated. The food came out fast, too.

An exquisite brewery with superb service and a Bier garden that everyone will love. I enjoyed the smash burger adding jalapenos. The fries were great too. I tried a gorgeous saison that had lovely complex flavors. The witbier was on by the Abbey quad was superb. They are connected to a winery too so lots of choices for everyone. It smelled like they were making some brisket too. Definitely check this place out and plan to hang out a while! The team there seemed to really care about quality and everyone have a great experience. This was so refreshing to have excellent hospitality!

Third Window is great, I enjoy going there any time I'm up in Santa Barbara. It's always busy but there's a big outdoor space with lots of seating and it's a cool setup between the brewery and winery so there's alcoholic options for all. As far as beer, there are a lot of original and unusual beers, so recommend a flight if you're a first-timer and a bit adventurous. The smash burger is the best around and honestly up there in the best I've ever had. The original is awesome with double patties that have lots of crispy edges, grilled onions, and a tangy mustard-based special sauce. Simple but so so good. The fries are crisp and really well-seasoned and come with a variety of dipping sauces. The lemon aioli is not to be missed. My only negative is there's basically no parking there, but street parking is easy enough to find close by.

Been coming here for over 5 years and it just keeps getting better. This place is killing it. The best beers, burgers, pizza, service, and atmosphere around the area. Wings were decent but not blown away by them. The vegan burger was legit. So much flavor and bun was amazing. Wow the ribs blew me away. Lived in Texas for 12 years and from the midwest. Never had ribs this tender. Mild smoke and not super fatty or too much sauce. Don't change a thing! BBQ was epic! Best brisket and pulled pork I've ever had.

It was packed on a Friday night. Long line for food orders even at 6:30. You order food and beer at the counter and it's brought to your table. Be sure to get a reservation if you can! Really cool venue and vibe. Family friendly and dog friendly. Salads were good, but the pizzas were delicious.

Refreshing summer vibes with killer burgers and brews! The burgers should be your priority - the Wagyu Smashed Cheeseburger and its variations are to die for. They literally melt in your mouth with every bite! That is the essential Third Window beer garden food to have. In all transparency, not every food item or drink is top notch here. This is a bit disappointing considering the high pricing. The fries are mediocre and many of the draft beers were just alright… but the ambience, lovely outdoor seating and refreshing social scene makes for a worthy visit. Super popular spot with long wait times but definitely a summer go-to! Most of the lagers and specialty brews were good but nothing special - the Belgian selections here are my recommendation! Also worth mentioning the visual spectacle of the place - super casual and warm in spirit. Love the look of their beer flights. Check them out!

Some of the best Brewery food you will find. The beer is solid with a wide selection and something for everyone. They also serve wine from Potek next door. Service was top notch with the Robert, their GM, being the best party host. Lots of patio seating and super kids and dog friendly. Looking forward to coming back here again on our next SB visit.

We visited this spot on our weekend trip to Santa Barbara after seeing it all over social media, and we loved it!! This place is located around a bunch of small businesses/warehouses, so there's a lot of street parking around. It's a beautiful brewery, they have so many tables/lounge areas to accommodate for big groups. The employees were nice and quick to clean up tables. We came at lunch time on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. We ordered some beers (I don't remember their names, sorry) and 2 smash burgers for lunch, dine-in. They serve you your food quickly. The smash burgers were sooo good. My boyfriend and I like to try different smash burgers and this one had everything we liked! They were generous with the meat and the bread was so soft. Their sauce is really mustard-forward, but we liked it. We definitely would recommend this spot!

Reason #1 for 5 stars: I HATE IPA's. Normally that would be irrelevant if not for the fact that they have taken over the universe like Starbucks providing gratuitous mediocrity to the masses and staining the current wave of quality craft beers. I think there was 1 or 2 on the menu max. And 2-3 SAISONS!! A billion yesses!!! I kowtow respectfully to this brewer. Reason #2: Best burger in town. Simple. Flavorful. Soft squishy bun. Burned onions. Not greasy. 10 bucks. Yes please. Reason #3: Ambience. Dogs. Rad glasses. This is my SB burger now.

This is now my 3rd or 4th time dining and drinking with Third Window. It has the perfect atmosphere for day trips from L.A. and has become our go-to meetup. But today, we were blown away by their customer service. No need to get into the details ...an honest mistake was made and by the time I realized the issue, they had already not only fixed the issue, but also went above and beyond to fix it. The staff is on it, friendly, welcoming, and just generally exudes positivity. I'll be coming back for a long time! Good drinks, friendly vibes, and amazing food!

One of the best smash burgers around! I love the LT Smash and don't forget the fries, they are crispy and delicious! On the weekends they have BBQ and it is fantastic! Don't miss out on the brisket! Well done Third Window! You are my Saturday go to spot!

Went during dinner time and they had Christmas lights and decorations all around the store. Even though the place was mainly outside there's a lot of outside heaters! The place is also dog friendly. Ordered the LT burger and LT bacon burger and it tastes good and does the job. 4 stars because the service was okay, condiments are of charge and was judged very hard when asking for warm water :(

Definitely a Fun atmosphere!! Loved it! The smash burger is darn good! The beer and wine selections are plentiful. You will find exactly what you need when it comes to washing down the burger and fries. Thumbs up to the great attitude service professionals. Keep up the great work. Everything was great except for parking. I will say.. It's worth parking far away and getting your daily steps in! enjoy!

Very excited to try, but I soon learned that they fry everything in peanut oil so my son (who has allergies to peanut) was unable to eat with me! Staff was helpful in trying to propose alternatives. They have a nice variety of beer on tap, and a very cool, SB open-air vibe. Parking is scarce so street parking is a must. The burger was flavorful and gooey!

One of our go-to spots whenever we visit Santa Barbara. They have a wide selection of beers, ciders and kombucha if that's not your thing. There's also a wine tasting room next door! What keeps us coming back is the large outdoor patio making it a chill place to hang out and their amazing wagyu smash burgers and wings! Burgers are made to order and each one is delicious. They also do specials like BBQ and we came during the month of October and they had a Bavarian plate special which was pretty good too! You order at the counter, grab a number and they bring your food to you. They're very thoughtful with their water jugs and water bowls for furry friends.

Great spot in Santa Barbara with a huge patio, has grown a ton in recent years! Beers are amazing and the locals are very relaxed. Burgers are tasty! Very easy to order and get additional drinks, staff super nice!

Smash burgers alone are 5* but the brisket BBQ on the weekends makes it a must. I'm not a beer drinker but I know plenty of people who are who enjoy it. One comment is that they are an Abbey style brewery, so don't come here expecting 10 different IPAs. The service can be take a minute to get your order in if there is only one person at the register and there is a decent line, but the food usually comes pretty quick after that. My only minor ding is a the fry boats are not super huge and a few times the servers have spilled out some of my fries onto the floor while trying to put them on my table. I wish they would put the burger and fries on some of those small aluminium sheet pan style serving trays rather than an individual small paper plate and then tiny paper boat. It's great to go in the summer just about any time but winter it can be cold and the seating is basically all out doors so plan on appropriate clothing for that.

If you're looking for a laid-back spot to enjoy a nice burger and a cold beer, this place delivers. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with a nice balance of lively energy without feeling too crowded or noisy. The burgers here are definitely the star of the show. I always get the classic smash burger, and it is very flavorful, and the fries are delicious as well. Always a good time.

This my friends, is a fantastic spot, and I'm absolutely in love. The Third Window hit a homerun on every level. Lovely outside patio, large, some tables inside and in the front parking lot for overflow. Yes, it's gets busy. Great vibe, very nice bartenders and staff. I came for a par-tay, and partook in brews [4-5.0 stars], a cheeseburger (like a high-quality white castle) [4.5 stars], wings (crispy, smokey, but dry) [4.0 stars], and fries (medium thick, fresh, perfectly crisp) [5.0 stars]. Although I wanted, they also serve pizza ($18-20 for a pretty good size!) and a very tasty BBQ Friday to Sunday). If I was living nearby, this would be an every week place to come to. Highly recommended.

What can I say, unique and tasty beers and standout smash burgers! I got the lemon arugula salad and it was tasty but needed more Parmesan cheese. The belle saison is a favorite of mine and I also enjoy the oaty mcoatface (oat stout).

This place is worth all the hype! The smash burgers are amazing and they have a nice selection of beers they brew themselves. If you're not in the beer mood there is potek winery right next door if you want to have some wine instead. The patio is shared so this is very easy to do! The service is good and all the bartenders and servers are attentive and knowledgeable. The line for food can be quite long, which is the only downside but it goes by fast and it is worth the wait. They do have a separate line just for beer so you can grab a drink while your in line or if you don't want food it you can get served much faster!

Stopped by on our arrival to SB as referred by a friend. Wife and I split a wagayu cheese burger and special Santa Maria Tri Tip sandwich chased down by amber beers. True treat, excellent tasties! Gotta hit it!

Fiest time here from ventura. Large area. Plenty of seating for big groups. Pilsner beer was my favorite. The food was pairing perfectly.

My husband and I had a fantastic date here on a beautiful sunny day! I enjoyed the cob salad and my husband enjoyed the Smashburger with an extra patty! He rated his burger an 8 out of 10, and I rated my salad an 8 out of 10 as well! The service was good, and the folks that were here were super kind! We also really enjoyed the vibe of the brewery, including seeing all the cute dogs around and the succulents! There are plenty of shaded areas on this sunny day as well, so that was good! We also really liked that the Olympics were playing on the TVs, USA versus France! The music was great as well -- there's also a winery here that my husband and I didn't get to enjoy it! Perhaps next time :) The only downside is that parking can be challenging! My husband and I had to drive around a little little bit to find street parking, so give yourself time to Park if you're going to come here! We also came here luckily before the rush of the afternoon and didn't have to wait, but while we were getting our food, there was a long line of the door! Highly recommend for a place to go on a day trip to Santa Barbara!

Wow! Thursday night ribeye dinner. $48. The steaks probably weighed 1.5 to 2 pounds. Everything was delicious. They had a separate room set up with candles that felt special without being fussy. If you're going to eat meat, this is the place to do it. The family owns the cattle ranch, so you know that it is direct and fresh. Good people. Great evening all around.

Came here with a group of 4. We tried a lot of different drinks and the burgers were amazing. I'm talking one of the best smash burgers I've had. The service isn't anything to write home about; however, this isn't the place you go to for that. It's very causal, so I will not be lowering my 5 star rating on that account. I definitely recommend coming and trying it out if you haven't. I'm actually coming back tonight to get another burger.

Absolutely love this place!! Vibes are on-point. Plenty of outdoor seating, good variety of (good) drinks, and food was delish! They had a special butter that came with the pizza, that was delectable!! I even ate the butter with their fries, which I also found nicely cooked (not soggy, not too crispy... just right). Pizza is cooked on sourdough, I'm a sucker for sourdough. And their wagyu cheeseburger... AMAZING! 10/10 would come again!

it's a fabulous little place if you're thinking about going somewhere where you can let the kids cruise around and it's a really nice outdoor seating area. The only thing that I'm giving this place for stars about is that the burgers are really small and you can finish them within a bite or two, but still the service and the place is great for a hangout spot to sip on some beer. I just wouldn't recommend eating there. It's not gonna fill you up.

Love this open air brewery AND their signature Wagyu Smashburgers, YUM! If you are a craft beer fan and enjoy an excellent burger, this IS your place!! Located in Santa Barbara, this is a fun place to enjoy with friends or pet companions. Service is fast casual and friendly, just belly up to the bar for ordering food and drink; they'll bring the food to your patio table of choice! Overall 4.0+ rated spot for me given tasty crafts and delicious burgers! Expect to pay $10-12 for a burger, $5 for side fries, and $5-7 for a pint. Their crafts variety is broad, with my fave today called "The Next", a Hazy IPA of 6.5ABV and 18IBU, excellent! For foods, we (sampled) shared 3 Smash-burgers, the Original, the Avocado Jalapeño, and PBJ. With a large side of fries, plenty to eat for 3 people and complement the brews - all burgers were tender and tasty, oh so good!! If you like open air dining and a fun craft brewery, 3rd Window is a spot you don't want to miss. ENJOY!!

Will definitely return! Staff were exceptional, helpful, polite, accommodating. Atmosphere is like that of a relaxed barn bierhall where you half expect a stout employee (pun,groan!) decked in lederhosen to walk by. Delightful beverages awaited. We had a dark ale that was rich and deep with notes of coffee flavors etc. It was delicious and hit the spot. A great place to grab a brew or wine and some food too. As for parking, there is one (partially-impeded) van-accessible disabled parking space. Otherwise parking can be found on the street.

Wow! We are locals and go there often for smash burgers and fries. Pizza is good as are all bread items. But today wd finally bought the Sat. BBQ. What an amazing tray of food. Everything was awesome. We arrived around 12:30 am and of course there was a line out the door. My husband waited in line while me and the dog got a table. My husband said that right after he ordered the bbq they said they were out of sausage and would subustitute if people wanted to order. Let's just say it is a lot of food but everything was so good. They definetely know how to cook, bbq, and bake. Strongly recommend but be prepared to share. The bbq plate could easily be shared by 4 for lunch.

I've been here twice now and it's been a fun experience every time! The service is nice and the people are so nice and attentive and I love the vibe of the restaurant: open but still cozy! I always order a peanut butter and jelly burger and it never fails. The combo works well and I suggest it to everyone I know. The fries are good and the sauce selection is pretty solid. As for the beers, my friends and I like to get flights but my personal favorites are the Oatey McOatface and Third Window! On weekdays this place isn't as packed or busy but on weekends, it is kind of nightmarish to try to find seating. I've also witnessed my friend wait an hour for their order during a rush so I would highly recommend making a visit on a weekday!

Drove from LA for a special occasion. At Third Window and loved everything! Barbecue was juicy and tender, smash burgers were sooo delicious but the ambiance was the best! Lots of seating and beautiful rustic atmosphere! Loved the varieties of beers!!! Carlos was an amazing server!!! Would definitely go again!!!

Chill place, dog friendly, smashburgers, good beer. What else could you POSSIBLY ask for! Smashburgers aren't my favorite because it seems like they get to skimp out on the actual meat in favor of crispy char, but when in Rome...plus we were hungry and needed food, and these hit the spot. One thing to note is that they're a bit messy, but hey, I'm drinking beer and not trying to impress anyone! The fry servings are on the small side, but were quite crispy and tasty, and they have a good number of sauces. But the real standout is the beer. They were refreshing and tasty on a hot summer day, and had we not had to get to an appointment, I would have imbibed further. The darks were malty, chocolatey, and smooth, and I am a real fan of the different Belgians on tap. Santa Barbara brings to mind "wine and vineyards" but I'm glad that there's a strong beer scene in the area!

Make sure you order a smashed burger with your beer. I got the avocado burger and my husband ordered the original. Can't say enough about these burgers; they are perfect size, enough toppings and bun is fresh . Went in a little early, around 5:30 and got a table in the courtyard quickly. When we left around 6:30 the line was out of the door. Loved the outdoor seating and they have heat lamps so you won't be cold on a winter night!

Love this place! Came here on a Friday date night with my wife, after my 18 year old son came home raving about the burgers (I'm so behind..). It's located in a mostly industrial/business area that is quickly becoming an extension of the funk zone. We arrived just after 6pm. Line out the door into the parking lot, but we were able to order beer and food within 10 minutes. Large selection of IPAs, European lagers, Belgian and farmhouse ales - everything looks so good. For food, it's burgers, salads, fries, wings and McConnell's(!) shakes. My wife had a Belgian blonde (tasted similar to a duvel) and I had a summer saison, with 2 LT smashburgers and a side of fries, then sat down with our food number in the spacious courtyard. Full and pleasant crowd of a wide range of ages, including families, but not too hard to find a table for two. Both beers were so fragrant, light (not on alcohol) and creamy, on the right night I could easily have had many. Food arrived in about 20 minutes. with ketchup, a delicious ranch-like sauce and a chipolte sauce. The burgers were indeed, nothing like I have ever had before, and second to none. The two wagyu patties are smashed thin so the edges are cooked both juicy and a little crispy. With the special sauce, carmalized onions and cheese, so, so much flavor and without busting a gut. The fries too were hot, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside; one order was perfect for two of us. After leaving for our next stop, we felt happiness all over. Already planning our next occasion!

I've been going to these guys for years! I'm telling you... Their burgers are some of the best of the best in the 805! Super personable service, amazing environment and the vibe is definitely off the hook! Lily, Robert and the team are absolutely incredible! I'm telling you... They are so worth the drive and... definitely worth the price! I'm glad these guys are still around. Why wouldn't one want to pay a visit here? Third Window Brewery is a fun and mellow spot to grab a beer with friends. They offer a wide selection of beers and also make amazing smash burgers. The location has a huge courtyard for outdoor seating as well as semi-indoor seating that is open air but covered. On occasion there will be live music which can add to already fun day at a brewery! The staff is always friendly and provide quick service. Third Window is a outside of the downtown area so it's more of low key spot which is great for a mellow crowd.

If you're ever in Santa Barbara, drop by @thirdwindowbrewing and enjoy one of the best brewery experience in California. Freshly baked sourdough pretzel made by the amazing baker, Indra. The uberdelicious wagyu smash burger, the smoked chicken wings, the weekend-only wagyu brisket and the great selection of beer. My favorite is the Belgian-style Witbier. This is our new go-to place in SB. And don't forget that incredible brownie in the end.

Whoa! I am so glad I trusted my fellow yelp fam on this one! I was in town for a paddling race and ravenous at the finish. I wanted a burger so bad so when I saw photos of the smash burgers for this place I knew it was the move. The prices seemed very reasonable considering it's a double smash and who doesn't want to wash the burgers down with a good beer? I was surprised by the quantity of beers here and went with a flight. There was a great variety of styles so this is the place to take a group of beer lovers because there was something for everyone between saisons, pils, and ipas. The smash burger was a great burger. There was the perfect crusty patty with the classic American cheese topping. It was fast and fresh and just what the doctor ordered. I got fries and well and they were a little underwhelming, so next time I'll just skip them. The patio was a great place to hang. There's a winery in the same complex so if you've got non-beer drinking friends bring them along too!

Relaxed and welcoming setting with one of the best burgers in town. I enjoyed a great beer and dad, who no longer consumes alcohol) was able to enjoy an NA beer which the bar was able to serve to us. (Bring NA beer to the bar and they keep it cold for you and serve it). Staff were friendly and attentive, even noticing dad was cold so they lit the heater next to them. We will be back!

My son lives in SB and wanted us to try the smash burgers here - we went last weekend and everything was great. Plenty of seating for large groups, really delicious food and beer, and cornhole. The smash burgers were amazing, as were the fries and the salads, and the counter service was very friendly and helpful.

My coworker recommended I try this place out, specifically for the original smashed cheeseburger and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The burger doesn't look picture perfect, but that's what made it so effortlessly good. Also the atmosphere is so nice outside at night!! I personally would skip out on the fries cause they're nothing special, but the chocolate milkshake was a home-run (just wish it wasn't $9) Overall will definitely be coming back again with my friends for more

Best burger I've ever had! I'm not a burger person at all, but my husband is and since we've been together I've been to many burger joints. This one is by far the absolute best! I actually crave burgers now lol. My husband is the same--can never have enough Third Window! Also the patio seating and overall vibe of the place is so chill and fun.

every single time yes!!! I take people here all the time and they say it's the best burger they've ever had. The quality is so delicious. The atmosphere is so fun and they never disappoint.

Just finished their bbq brisket 1/4 plate as well as a pulled pork sandwich. Second time I have had these in last month. Both times outstanding. Now I was born and raised in Memphis, so I think I know something about BBQ. Both meats I ordered here were delicious. Brisket had perfect amount of crispy bits and still good fatty parts. Tender and juicy. Pulled pork was succulent and tender. Both meats greatly exceeded my expectations and are the best bbq I have found, after many years of searching, in this part of California. Cole slaw was delicious as well. With the pulled pork there was a type of marmalade. I am not normally a fan of marmalade (maybe this was more of an apricot jam?) but this was absolutely delicious and complemented the pork. It had just a tiny spicy kick that kept it from being too sweet. Also I have to mention the homemade white pan bread. Outstanding! I told the owner I would gladly buy this bread by the loaf to take home. My only complaint: they do not do the bbq everyday. But my heart and arteries are probably happy about this.

I am late to the game on this review, but better late than, never right? I mainly come here when I get a burger craving, and let me tell you the Wagyu Smash Burger is not to be missed! I've only had the original smash, which is a double-patty, and comes with grilled onions, special sauce, and a side of house-made pickles. I'm not a huge pickle fan when it comes to having them with a burger, but I always end up eating these because they are slightly sweet and happen to be a nice balance to the saltiness of the beef patties. Wagyu Smashed Burger Schedule: Thursday - Sunday from 12 to 8pm. Let's not forget, this is a brewery as well and if you're not sure what beer to order like me, then just ask the cashier for some suggestions. I tend to go for the beer flight, because it's a good deal and it allows me to try 5 different varieties, as opposed to just one. Some of the more popular beers that they offer here tend to sell out fast, so be sure to get here earlier in the day so you don't miss out. They do offer wine, but it's a very small selection, so be sure to ask what they are offering for that day. You can also wander over to Potek Winery, which is next door if you're looking for more variety. This place is always busy when I come here, so be sure to allow yourself at least 30 minutes for your food to arrive. I promise it will be worth the wait! They also collab with Tamar Central Coast Shawarma, to bring you Mediterranean food on Monday & Wednesday. Nashville style hot chicken sandwiches on Tuesday & Wednesday, red oak pizza Monday & Friday, and trip tip sandos on Sundays. Overall, a great place to check out for beer, food, and good times. Looking forward to trying Tamar's Mediterranean food!
