Thi Thi Vietnamese Submarine

Thi Thi for lunch today and I ordered the super beef submarine and it was delicious. I’ll definitely be back to eat here again. They have a very small shop and menu but it absolutely hit the spot. Check out the menu!!

SAVE your money!! Ordered 4 beef satay subs with DOUBLE meat! What we got was just what I would get from a normal order somewhere else. So what’s it like normally? Especially since I ordered double meat on ALL subs, Not sure why ppl wait in line for this, there is way better out in Calgary

Classic Vietnamese sub place in Chinatown. I had sate beef and I enjoyed it a lot! There is usually long line up, this time I visited on Sat, around noon and I waited like 15min, which was not bad at all for this place. It is priced very reasonably, sub is big and tasty.

After reading some other reviews, i was also shocked at the size/meat quantity of the sub. The pic may be a bit exaggerated as i had compressed it, with the cilantro removed and a few bites in that’s what it looked like… I understand shrinkflation of the meat, but even the amount of veg was lacking. The taste is ok but i feel like it was dry from hardly any paté/spread as well. No no no…. what happened… 🥺

I was introduced to this place by a friend who has been coming here for well over 20 years. I am so glad that he introduced me to this place because the the Super beef and Chicken sub is amazing! I love the fresh cilantro that they put on here and the sauce is absolutely 💯 perfect. The staff here are very fast and efficient which is needed because they often have a line out the door. It would be nice if there was a little more room for getting in and out or waiting, but that is the nature of this location. FUN FACT- The owner explained that the reason they cut the top tip off the bun for each sub is so that your first bite is always with the best tasting part of the bread. (How thoughtful 😊) If you are in Chinatown or the Harry Hays, give this place a try. #supportlocalbusiness

This used to be a good sub place. Changed ownership and the recipe changed. Very sparse with the meat and trying to make up with onions. Flavour is weird with too much sweetness.

Don't get me wrong. Really good, maybe even the best. But if your waiting out here for an hour, Trung around the corner is just as good. But this is a really good sandwich.

Great Banh Mi/sub shop. Friendly staff. Fresh ingredients. Shop is nothing to look at or write home about. But what you get, the sandwich with great flavor is worth it
