Amid all the gentrification and transplants you can find a perfectly delicious burger and other tasty foods for a perfectly decent price (actually decent, not just decent for transplants with rich parents!) The seating they got is cute, maybe not the most accessible for people with mobility issues since it's just these plastic little chairs, but hey! If you're just in the mood for a quick bite and only have like $5 then you're in luck! The view at sunset is amazing also! Service was solid. Idk if there was a bathroom or anywhere to wash your hands though, at least not immediately obvious. Parking may be a problem but I had no issue finding a street spot for free.

Placed my order online so when I got here I walked up to the “pick-up” window which was the wrong one, so I walked over to the “online & ice cream pick-up window and grabbed my order quickly. I noticed Saturday evening around 9pm it started getting really busy. Seating is outside on plastic children stool? No tables really. Food was good! Ordered a regular cheeseburger, fries and a kale salad.

Only talking about the food cause we ordered it, the prices aren't actually good for the quality of the burger. Forgot things we asked for on the burger that were additional charges, and then the cheeseburger was literally just a burger, cheese, and 4 pickles. 5 dollar burger worth less. Fries taste alright too. Overall, it would be worth it to spend a little more somewhere else and actually get a quality meal. So based off the food alone, just get something else Edit. My girl said her cramps came back after eating, so I guess that's a lil noteworthy

My favorite smash burger place in LA. I’m vegetarian and appreciate that they offer the Impossible option unlike a lot of other comparable burger places. We vegetarians want well crafted, delicious burgers too, just not the beef! The price point (which is always marked up for veg burgers) isn’t terrible in this case which makes my wallet happy too.

I got a double cheeseburger and two large orders of fries. There weren't a lot of fries for two large orders. The burger was good. I liked that it didn't take long for the order to be ready. The bench seats on the street seemed a bit lame. I ordered that small amount of food and it still cost me 20 dollars. Things cost so much more in California.

This spot captures the hip vibe of Silverlake perfectly. Surrounded by cafes and ice cream shops, it's an ideal place to take a break from the city hustle. The burgers are reasonably priced, and service is quick. The double cheeseburger can be a bit greasy but is overall satisfying, with a taste reminiscent of Shake Shack. The fried chicken sandwich is juicy, flavorful, and delicious. If you're looking to try a new local burger joint, I highly recommend this place.

The burgers here aren’t really smashburgers… but I’m not complaining! The thicker patties on offer here provide a welcome respite from the oversaturated LA smashburger scene. I had the double cheeseburger — some bites were meat-forward, some were pickle-forward, and some were onion-forward, which ultimately made for a satisfyingly balanced experience that let all of the individual components shine. The fries were also pretty solid, but another dash of salt would’ve probably helped. The best part though? How affordable the burgers are, especially given the eye-popping prices at some other LA burger establishments.

Came across the Win-dow by accident.. one day I was strolling down Sunset and I saw that the little corner they're at was having like a farmers market event on a Tuesday afternoon. Super glad I found this spot my whole family loves it.. my first attempt here was the chicken sandwich with some fries got the aioli on the side and I got they're green sauce (forgot what it's called) since I'm a total sauce person. Let me tell y'all something this sandwich didn't need any sauces added! Incredible flavors on the chicken sandwich. Nice portion size on the chicken it's basically coming out the super soft bun. Incredible slaw! Refreshing, salty, soft, crispy sandwich is beautifully complimented by that slaw! I've gone back about 3 times since that first try and I've had everything there and nothing falls short of great! I would argue that Win-Dow has the best smash burger AND fries in LA! Make sure you get their dipped cone after you have your meal. YOU WON'T REGRET IT! Also if you want to skip the ice cream but you want something sweet get one of their shakes! Honestly! You're gonna like anything you get here.. Definitely an LA must try spot! Look my only complaint is that there's no tables or chairs to enjoy the meal also because if you're gonna have your food there it can be a little crazy since there is all sorts of things going on in that corner, but overall great spot!

the win-dow supremacy! having tried goldburger's and for the win on my quest to find my go-to smashed burger in la, I can safely say this is my fav smashed burger so far. i like the casual outside seating with red stools reminiscent of street vendors in asia. the service was succinct and quick, the cheeseburgers came out hot and ready and the ketchup packets were refilled as we got our order. parking is metered + street, not sure if there's a bathroom. curious about the milkshakes despite having mild lactose intolerance and i hope to return soon :)

I ordered the double smash and fry. The burger was filling and flavorful. Fries were crispy and right amount of salt. I personally wouldn't go out of my way but I've been wanting to try this spot for a while now, and it wasn't a disappointment. I live close to the Long Beach location and always noticed a long line during the evening or on the weekend. If you're hungry , in the mood for a good smash burger, and nearby a location, I'd recommend!

Mm.. it's so hyped that I was expecting out of this world and honestly the burger was just okay. The bread was very doughy which took away from the flavor of the burger itself and the kale salad was again... just okay. If you love a really packed salad you will likely enjoy it more than i did, but after a while I was over the crunch. All in all - great, simple concept but missed on the execution.

I live in studio city and the drive here was not easy on a Saturday, it took 30 minutes of traffic @5pm. This really is a to-go spot, they have a bunch of plastic chairs and no tables. Not so great in the winter because it was freezing but we knew the food would not be great if we waited to eat it at home. I will say that the food was delicious!! Some of my favorite burgers in La, the pickles on here are perfect. The chicken sandwiches are also delicious and borderline better than the burgers. Fries are average but still good. Their sauce is wonderful and I know it's difficult to nail the sauce. I do want to try the kale salad next time. As much as I loved the burgers, the traffic and time to get there was not something I would do regularly for this. I hope they open a location in the valley, I would definitely visit that one often.

The burgers and fries? Delicious. Double cheeseburger with everything on it was served piping hot and delicious. Wouldn't change a thing. Fries were perfect. Crispy, salty as can be, and perfect temp. Red stripe was available next door so we made sure to snag one (open container not encouraged of course) The seating area was super basic and didn't really have any frills, just some stools and a sun cover. Plenty for shoveling down some burger and fries. Service was simple, it's a burger window, don't expect much and you can't be disappointed. Can't wait to grab a burger here again soon!

The burgers are good but the kale salad is what I would go back for. Ordered a single and a double burger with two orders of fries and a couple of kale salads on UberEats for pickup. That's the way to go. Parking was a problem because there was a farmers market going on. It was a Tuesday. There is also a farmers market on Saturdays according to a sign we saw. Didn't have to wait long for my order. All app orders are picked up from a window next door to an ice cream shop. There's another window if you're placing an order at that moment. The burgers were good. Fresh and a solid tasting burger. Fries weren't anything special. They're like McDonald's fries but they were not particularly fresh or hot and they were dry. I would pass on them if I came back. The kale salad was delicious! Great dressing on it and the croutons and golden raisins were tasty in it. Next time I will try their dipped soft serve ice cream cones. They look yummy but a lot with the burgers. It's a walk up window. Ambiance is whatever is going on on the sidewalk at any given time.

I have been wanting to try the win-dow's famous smash burgers. Parking is near nonexistent in the area unless you illegally park in the market nearby. I ordered 1 burger with no cheese, 1 cheeseburger, 1 fries, and an ice cream. The order was ready within 10 minutes. The burgers were delicious. The patty was crispy and flavorful. The bun was soft and fluffy. The pickles gave a nice crunch and lightness. The thousand island sauce made the burger taste less dry too. It was probably one of the best smash burgers I had. The fries were nothing special and not worth it. They were crispy but mostly hollow of potatoes on the inside. The second star of the meal was the ice cream. Biting into the crunchy chocolate covering with a sprinkle of nuts along with the soft serve vanilla underneath was just delicious. Best part was that it wasn't overly sweet. I was able to taste the chocolate, vanilla, and nuts all at once. Overall, the smash burgers lived up to my expectations. The ice cream was a nice dessert to finish my meal. They are pretty reasonable for their price. I also loved the area the win-dow is located since there was a farmers market event being held right in front too. I am definitely coming back whenever I want smash burgers.

Smash burgers are usually small and well overpriced. I expected this place to be no different, but the prices were super reasonable considering where this spot is located. The flavor of the burger was incredible, the pickles were perfection (and I'm not a huge fan of pickles in burgers) and the house sauce took it to the next level. The burger is small so you may want to consider getting a double. The fries were aight. They did the job. They were crisp and golden brown. The lemonade was pretty good and the shake was decent, but I only got vanilla.

The consistency of everything in the burger was on point. Seems to be a busy/ popular spot. The cashier wasn't the friendliest. She rushed our order. However, the burger was great. Street parking available in the area. Cute little hidden area.

Prices are super reasonable, single cheeseburger is $4.35 and the double is $7.50. There are beef burger and chicken burger options. For dessert, they have various options for shakes or dipped cones. Order at the window and eat outside. Quick and friendly service!

Delicious burgers! The workers were so nice! We were parked in a red zone and worried about stepping out to pick up the order and the worker was nice enough to bring it out to us! So sweet, thanks!

A much different experience than my first one there. The double just came off the grill, the meat patties were hot and delicious, the cheese was melting just right all over the patties and their special sauce was fresh, light and delicious. The crunchy pickles added an extra touch to this umami of a meal. Very satisfied! These burgers are great!

Pretty much obsessed with these smash burgers! They are SO yummy and everything about this place slaps- the fries are tasty, the prices are FAIR ($4.00 burger hello) and the service is quick and friendly. Style of this place is walk up, you order and pick up outside at the window. There is no indoor seating or facility for guests. The only seating is some plastic stools outside. In the daytime they put a pop-up up so there's a little shade! Parking is a little scary, street parking in the hilly neighborhood behind.

I'm writing a review because I LOVE their kale salad!!! And I thought I would never say something like that haha. Don't skip out on it! I only have photos of the said, because I enjoyed it that much! I have tried their double cheeseburger and chicken sandwich. I definitely like the cheeseburger more than the chicken sandwich. However, they are both worth trying! I just prefer smash burgers. This location is tuck inside a neighborhood. Parking is possible, but it can be a bit hectic; All street parking. Have yet to order at the location and sit down to eat. I usually do to-go orders, but looks like there are plenty of outdoor seats. Overall, the food is delicious and the price for it is great! I definitely need to try their desserts one of these days!

Food- 4.3/5. FIRE SMASHBURGERS. I was surprised as pictures online seem more intense with the thickness and sloppiness of a smash burger but turned out to be a manageable portion where you feel satisfied. *Get a Double Cheeseburger. You will be happy getting two instead of one as the meat patties are thin! * Fries were good. They taste just like Burger King Fries where they are long, a little thick, and has some crunch factor to it. So if you like your fries well-done, you'll like these. Service- 4/5. They are very busy and forgot my requests for water two separate times. Had to wait for the water as they were busy putting burgers out the Window. Ambiance- 2/5. The chairs scattered all over is an interesting concept and kinda gives the place some charm but I don't enjoy eating hunched over. You have to use multiple seats to create a table and try to comfortably eat. Nah...next time I'd rather eat in the car or go someplace else. I enjoyed eating my food but across the street there are a group of loitering, drunk men that shout and holler random slurs and/ or jokes cursing people out which ruins the atmosphere. You will need to park in the neighborhood and walk over to Win-Dow. I'll come back for the burger as I really enjoyed it. I would describe it as a runny, saucy, and wet burger.

The Win-Dow is like if someone decided to make McDonald's food really good. Now, we all know that McDonald's has excellent fries. They are crispy and well-seasoned. Same here. These fries are terrific and you need to get them. One order is probably sufficient for two to share. McDonald's burgers are wretched things with gray "meat" patties. No thank you. The Win-Dow burgers are definitely on the smallish side but the bun is soft and really wonderful, the burger is well-seasoned and has beautiful crispy edges, and the pickles add great texture and flavor. I had a single burger but a double patty is probably the best move here. Finally, the chocolate shake was luscious. It was thick and very flavorful. The parking situation is atrocious, possibly the worst in all of Los Angeles. Come here with a friend and drop your buddy off to order food while you drive around in circles. That is my parking advice.

Amazing burgers, fries, and salted caramel ice cream at a super convenient location in Silverlake! I have passed by this place so many times because I see their iconic mural from Silverlake Blvd. everytime I'm in the area, and finally decided to stop in and try it. It literally is a physical window lol that you order at and receive your food from. Service is super quick and convenient and there is a little outdoor seating area in the parking lot space outside. The vibes were great, super fast casual, and the burger itself was really simple but very tasty. I loved the fries too as I am a crispy fry type of guy!! Would definitely recommend for a quick bite to eat when walking around Silverlake and doing some shopping!

Came here on a Friday night and it was decently crowded. However, the line wasn't too long. Got a double cheeseburger, chicken burger and fries. The fries were great. They tasted like McDonald's fries. The chicken burger was perfectly crispy on the outside without being too thick on the breading, yet tender and juicy on the inside. Double cheeseburger was decent, nothing too extraordinary. It's good for the price but portions are not enough if you like to eat a lot like me. I can't complain though, you can't find these prices in LA. There's an outdoor seating area with plastic chairs, but no tables, however I loved that vibe. Must visit!

My friend & I came here for a cheap, post workout meal because I've been seeing it all over social media and REALLY wanted to know what the hype was about. Well, 3 words: I get it!! We both opted for the infamous kale salad with different proteins. She got the patty while I got the chicken. PSA: I am NOT a kale salad girly and never have been BUT I don't know what they put or how they massage the dressing into the salad to leave it so crunchy and flavored but we could not stop talking about how GREAT it was. For balance, we also shared some fries which were crisp and paired well with the jalapeño sauce. My lemonade, salad with chicken, and fries with dipping sauce all came out to $19 which I think is pretty good compared to many other LA locations. Some extra bonuses were plenty of seating and street parking for a Saturday afternoon - line can get long but goes by pretty fast!

Delicious burger, fries and fresh lemonade. The burger patty itself was not remarkable, didn't taste very seasoned, the flavor came from the sauce/spread. Grilled onions were a nice touch. The fries were actually the star. Equivalent to in-n-out's well done fries, but I didn't have to special order them that way. Fresh lemonade was good, tart but sweet at the same time. No seating area, everyone takes it to go, the small stools aren't really conducive to sit and eat. Parking was a bit of a challenge. You're competing with the neighbors for street parking and sadly, many people cannot parallel park. Ordering was fine server was helpful but quite a wait to get my food. Overall good smash burger, but the trophy still sits with GoldBurger for the best ever.

Much better experience this time around, solidifying the 4 star review :) We ordered to-go again, but the delivery was quick and the food was still hot. All the sauces were included in our order and the burgers were very good - we love a thin patty and good bun. We also tried their salad and it was so good! Very light and well-dressed, it wasn't soggy at all and the croutons provided a good crunch. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

I ordered from here via UberEats recently. It's been on my to try list, so I was really excited to finally get a chance to try this place out. I ordered some fries, a chicken sandwich, and a burger. It's literally a basic burger, but they do it right. It's pretty good and hefty. Would I say it's my fave burger? No, but it really is a solid choice for a an easy no frills burger. My highlight from my order was the chicken sandwich. I really enjoyed the crunchiness from the chicken mixed with the sauce they had. A good burger spot to add to your list for LA burgers.

This place is better than easy st burgers!!! Please give this place a try. I have been putting all my friends on this place ever since I tried it because it is so good. The fries are like mcdonald's fries if they were perfect. If you know what I mean. So flavorful and crispy but soft on the inside. Burgers are the perfect smash burger, the sauce really brings out the flavor. Service was amazing, the guy at the window was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable even though we came a bit late. Left a good impression on me because it was a great, hearty meal. Only thing to note is the parking. Its street parking in a packed neighborhood so be prepared for that frustration!

Dear God, Please send me more weddings that I can film so I can buy a plan ticket back to L.A. just to eat this burger. Amen. ...yes it's that good you'd pray for it again. Service was hustling so we ordered on the app which was easy and allowed us to find seating instead of waiting around for food the. Doing so. Great location and definitely fits the Venice Beach area.

First visit to the WIN-DOW. Visited with my family. We got 2 plain cheese burgers for the kids, regular cheese burger for my Mrs. and a double for myself. Fries and burgers were definitely worth the visit as prepared. The standout is definitely the Kale salad which did not disappoint. Service was good, friendly. Ambiance is eclectic, and the same bench/seats serve as tables. Parking could be an issue; I found some parking a few blocks away. Would love to come back again.

Hidden little corner neighborhood spot! Can't miss it. It's all tinted black windows and you'll the red and blue plastic chairs outside under a tent. Constant flow of traffic. Menu is super affordable and the burgers are def good and tasty quality. Parking does suck a bit but if you want it you'll find it. Customer service superb and they def make the food with love. Those shakes don't sleep on them. Super creamy and delicious give them a shot if you're in the sunset area. I'm sure they are open late nights. Don't sleep on them

There's something nostalgic about the brown box filled with deliciousness. It's a super-affordable elevated happy meal for adults. What you see is what you get. It's a window in a wall that serves great burgers and fries. Post up on a stool out front and complete your meal with a dipped soft serve cone. P.S. Do not sleep on the chicken sandwich.

bro told me about this place after watching buzzfeed worth it. It's def worth it and some. smashburgers are juicy and packed with flavor the fries were surprisingly crispier and tastier than I could've imagined strawberry shake was solid and tied the meal together well for the great prices... I wouldn't have to think twice about eating here often

Absolutely ridiculous. There's no parking to speak of, so after rounder ing the block multiple times I tried to call in the order. Only they don't take phone orders and sends a link. Fine. But the link doesn't work. I parked in the red and went for it. The window itself is stupid and levels out around your navel so you have to bend over like a contortionist to order and you still don't see the person's eyes. I needed a plain burger for a kid. Gotten it there multiple times before. This time, however he said he can't guarantee it won't have onions. Sort of dumbfounded, I asked him not to put onions on it. He said there are onions on the grill and if it's an allergy thing. I said no allergy, it's for a kid. He said can't guarantee it. After driving cross town, fighting to park, and being faced with such an asinine scenario, I walked away. Place oughta be egged.

4 stars for the Beauty Burger, their impossible burger. I enjoyed this much more than Monty's. I cannot eat meat so this helped the burger cravings. I also ordered their fries which I enjoyed and a coke. One huge star off for their "seating area." Plastic stools under a tent is the seating area. I've eaten at taco stands that provide a table and a seat.

My boyfriend had been craving burgers so we decided we will try different popular burger places in LA. The Win-Dow was our first stop! The Win-Dow is a has a unique format where they operate out of a few Windows and you can sit on their stools in their outdoor seating area. It's definitely a nice vibe when the weather is good! The menu is small which made it nice and easy to decide what to get. We got 2 cheeseburgers, a side of fry, and the milkshake. You order through one window and pick up at another. They also have a third window for ice cream orders. All the food was amazing. I LOVED how crispy the fries are, they're all crispy and crunchy, no soggy fries!!! The burger was also so good! The bun was super soft and fluffy, the pickle was thick, and sauce was good, and meat was nice and tender. The milkshake was also delicious, super creamy. I would say the milkshake was a little smaller than I expected but the quality was amazing. Overall, an amazing place with great affordable prices! Next time I could probably even order a double if I'm feeling hungry.

I love getting the fried chicken sandwich for lunch! The chicken sandwich is crispy with great flavor and the is just the right portion size. The service is quick with ordering at the window or online. They have outdoor stools to sit at to eat and it is dog friendly.

The place seemed popular, so wanted to give it a try. I had Double cheeseburger with gluten free bun- $10.16. The burger was okay, nothing exceptional, the gluten free bun's texture was weird. The service was good. The beef patty looked thinner and smaller than it looked on the picture. Overall, the burger place was a casual stop for quick bite .

I am obsessed with this place, I think about their burgers constantly. I always feel a bit skeptical when I go to places that are super hyped up...but the double cheeseburger is so perfect and so simple. After I had it the first time, I literally came back again within the week. The line moves quickly despite and the burgers are cooked really fast too. Reasonable price for a good smashburger in Los Angeles. I also tried the Shaved Kale Salad and the Chocolate S'Mores Shake and both were delicious as well. Parking is a little challenging in the area if you go at a busy time of week, and there's a lot of outdoor seating. HIghly recommend if you're in the area and need a quick bite to eat.

We love coming here on the weekends and satisfy our burger cravings. Regular order: cheeseburger with the sauce on the side and kale salad. It's pure perfection. Staff isn't the friendliest but eh the food is good

Trying all the East Side burger spots lately....now I'm having a hard time choosing my favorite. Ordered a triple and a double plus fries. Fries were standard , still warm, good overall. Not super salty or mushy, a bit on the crispier side. The jalapeño aioli was clutch. The burger was pretty fire - I loved the onions grilled into the burger and the crunchy high quality pickles. Wasn't super smashed when compared to others and I think that's what I liked the most. Finally, the special sauce was dripping and delicious. Definitely will return , and it's for sure top 3 if not 2 for me so far.

Pretty good burger overall, but really good for the price. A double cheeseburger with fries doesn't fill me up but would be plenty for a normal appetite. The quality of the ingredients seem fresh. The staff is always so friendly. Outside seating is somewhat limited and there really aren't any tables -- you'll have to use a plastic seat as a makeshift one. Located in a busy area with lots of other restaurants/cafes/ice cream in the vicinity. There's street parking in the area, but most of it is parallel on a hill.

Food was good. The 1 star is for the young lady at the counter. Rude and unpleasant from start to finish. Even had the audacity to curse under her breath when we were slow to order. In our defense, it was our first time visiting. Some people shouldn't be in the service industry and she is that person. Again, the food was good, but likely won't be coming back because of her awful attitude.

A great little pickup window spot, you can order in person or online. The Fried Chicken Sandwich is just the right size, enough so you get your money's worth but not so big you feel weighed down afterwards. Fries are always crispy and the shakes and dipped cones are perfect for a warm day. It's always really busy and there's always only street parking, so you might have to walk a little bit.

It's an average Smashburger, but I think it has raving reviews because of its hip vibes. portion for a regular cheeseburger is a bit small for me so I had the double double my friend had a regular with a side of fries which she said it was perfect. Convenient ordering through online, but there is no parking space so just be mindful it will be difficult to find parking nearby. A few outdoor seats were available for dining, but no indoor dining space.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Echo Park Lake and we loved it! Super cheap, very fast service, and the food is great! I couldn't believe a single patty cheeseburger was $4.25, and it was so good and filling (though I definitely could have done a double cheeseburger!). It came with fried onions on top which I loved. The fried chicken sandwich was also fantastic, and even more filling than the single burger. The fries were so fresh, crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. The portions were great, we couldn't finish them - even though we tried. If you're looking for a cheap, delicious, easy lunch that's not too heavy, look no further!

Been driving around LA with my husband trying smash burgers. This is up there with For the Wjn. However, these fries were ao good! And the mint ice cream was delish too! Smash burger was great. Chicken sandwich was okay. Wouldn't order it again. However, for the price - this might be the best smash burger so far.

My favorite smash burger in LA. I think the price point is a real driver in that statement because a lot of the other smash burgers in the area are double is not +$10 more the cost for a comparable item.

I am not a big burger/fast food person but this place is so delicious and 100% worth the hype. Ordered the "beauty burger" because I don't eat meat and it was surprisingly good. I had to ask my friend whether or not it was real meat because it tasted too good haha. The fries are similar to Mcdonald's. The bun is soft and chewy and pairs so well with the pickles and sauce of the patty. I like that you get to eat outside in stools, it has a nice casual vibe.

the double cheeseburger was super filling and the sauce they use was delicious. i actually thought their fries was the best part bc they were perfectly crispy and i love a thinner fry. i would say that there is nothing too special about the spot and it isn't worth going out of your way for but if it's in the area + there is no line it's def a great valued meal worth trying!!!
