The gluten-free accommodations are amazing! The crispy brussel sprouts and salt n’ peppa wings are must-haves, the wings are some of the best I’ve ever had! The cocktails are creative and so well-made.

We got the Louisiana Hot Chicken, and can now declare that Nashville Hot Chicken can suck it. This is the best Hot Chicken. We also got the Brussel Sprouts, and, again were wowed. Very possibly the best Brussel Sprouts we have ever had. And the Sazarak was such a delicious drink. All combined, this meal was a religious experience

The Will & The Way was such a delight, we visited multiple times over our trip to NOLA. Every single drink was interesting AND good, which is really hard to find. It takes a lot of work to dial in a unique drink to be generally palatable. Like other reviewers, I really, really enjoyed the Sad Boy Club (but I think you need to have a craving for spice to really love it). My husband enjoyed the Armagnac Sazerac and Dr. Manhattan a lot. The Pootie Tang was pretty tasty too. The Jazz Dad is the only one I probably wouldn't get again I think. My biggest regret is that we didn't have time to eat here. We are 100% trying the food because everything we saw looked + smelled amazing. I'm excited to visit again!

May have been an off day but the fries were unbelievably salty - I was actually wiping as much of the very fine salt off each individual fry as I could. Aside from that they were crisp and golden. The wings were crunchy and beautifully breaded, and while they were salt and pepper flavoured they seemed overly salty (or it was compounded by the fries). If I were you I’d still order both but ask for the fries “lightly salted”.

This was an amazing bar. Fabulous drinks! I’ll be back. Mixed drinks so yummy! “We are groot” with the mushroom rum (!?) & beet root base was a unique pleasant surprise! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Wow Great ,friendly bartenders.

One of the best meals I've ever had (try the Brussels sprouts and Hot Chicken) served by incredibly nice people. They also were very careful with my wife's allergies. The courtyard was great.

Tucked away off the main Bourbon St drag, The Will & The Way should be on the "check out" list for anyone looking for artistic cocktails and elevated bar food. Reservations aren't accepted, so you'll want to come prepared for a wait as needed, especially if looking for seating for a larger group beyond just at the bar. The cocktails were top notch, offering a variety of flavors and liquors. The food was where TWTW stood out though. I appreciated the breadth of vegetarian options, having struggled throughout the French Quarter for options. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts were exceptional, some of the best I've had this calendar year. The portion was ample too! Definitely enough for 2-3 people to split. The toppings make for a flavorful, texturally complex bite. The Roasted Sweet Corn Tamale was also a standout and beautifully plated! The interior was too dimly lit to capture an adequate picture. Another dish that fired on all cylinders in terms of texture, seasoning and components that paired seamlessly with one another. We will definitely be back when we visit NOLA next!

Cute vibe. Small. Busy. Friendly service. Street parking if any, would recommend walking. Food was good overall, wings were disappointing. Bao buns similar. Fries were simple but crunchy and fresh. Brussels sprouts were the star of the show. Portion sizes were good. Surprised us with how big they were, BUT prices were killer. Really hit hard compared to others around. But for the good time and interesting but also expensive drinks. We may be back just to try 1-2 things rather than everything off the menu. Happy eating!

With my wife roaming the French Quarter, and I finally completed with my day conferencing at the New Orleans Marriott, we decided to meet up for pre-dinner drinks at The Will and The Way. My wife has always had a love for Shakespeare so frequenting a bar named after a quote from one of his plays was a must. We only had time for one drink but we would return in a heartbeat due to the charm of the building and the dark interior inside, with a courtyard in the back. I enjoyed a lovely GTL made with laird's jersey lightning, middle west white rye, mathilde peche, and cocchi americano that was a good starter drink for the evening we had ahead.

We loved everything about The Will & The Way. We got there around 5 so it wasn't super busy yet. The bar area isn't very large but they do have a courtyard with about 8-10 tables. You order food at the bar and they bring it out. Everything was delicious, one of the best meals we had. They also made my French 75 cocktail so that was a bonus. Definitely worth finding this casual bar and eatery off of Bourbon St.

We came here after reading all the good reviews online. We ordered the loaded Korean hot fries, double crunch salt n peppa wings and cocktails. I can see why the fries and wings are popular menu items. Both were great. True to their name the wings were very crunchy and salty. My favorite of the two was the fries. They have quite a few other menu items I'd like to go back and try. Service was quick. You can sit inside or they have a courtyard out back. It's definitely somewhere you want to check out if you're in the quarter.

So happy this place was open late. Stumbled in here after a night out and was so happy to find food. It was greasy and salty (in a good way. Not in a disgusting way) and delicious! Would love to stumble in again!

We were starving and hot when meeting up with friends after the red dress run and stumbled across The Will & The Way. They surprisingly had a small seating area in the back available so we got to enjoy some air conditioning. I got a Negroni and the Will & the Way burger. The burger was juicy and delicious and the fries were crispy. Our friends got the sticky char siu pork buns and those were tasty as well.

A cool and slightly hidden gem in the French quarter. Dropped in for dinner and enjoyed sitting in the beautiful courtyard. The menu had a couple of vegetarian friendly offerings. I tried the sweet potato tacos and they were delicious! Bursting with flavor in each bite. My only regret is there weren't more lol. Fries was crispy and the right level of salty, great with the aioli. Others in the group had the spicy chicken and loaded fries and loved them. They also enjoyed the cocktails.. It seems like you can't go wrong with any of their offerings! Overall a great spot for a chill dinner/drinks and hangout spot with friends.

This place rocks. I stumbled upon it walking through the French quarter after a couple cocktails at Peychaud's. The food here is legit. The wings might be the best wings I've ever had. Bartenders were very friendly and on the ball. I will definitely be back for dinner again.

They weren't open, even though their website, Yelp and google claimed they were. I am not sure if maybe they closed down.

We came here to the Will & the Way Burger since I've heard it so good. It was good but my bun was burned :( I told the server and she just said sorry and didn't replace the burger. It wasn't worth the $22 price tag!

Awesome dive bar, late night GOOD food, chill staff and a fun environment. Came here after a show looking for a good bite to eat but not a tourist trap. This place is right in the middle of the quarter but inconspicuous. The staff was attentive and makes really good drinks. And we ordered the pickle platter, wings and loaded fries. So yes it's bar food and probably won't win a James Beard, but considering the time of night, it's definitely one of the better places. They've even got a patio section which has a cool vibe. Worth the trip! Also, camera eats last ‍

I had my first taste of The Will & The Way during Top Taco in 2023. I visited their restaurant after attending a show at the Toulouse Theater. TW&TW is about 2-3 doors down. There's a cute little bar area when you first enter and there's seating at the bar of course. There's also a few tables and tucked away lounge style seating in the corners of the place. We sat in the back patio since inside was a bit crowded. There were fans outside. We ordered the Double Crunch Salt-n-Peppa wings, the fries, and the Char Siu Pork buns. Everything was very good, but those pork buns were perfect in every way!

Great drop in spot for lite snack and craft cocktails. We enjoyed a small charcuterie board and a side of fries. Plenty to share with our group of six. Sazerac was a treat as were the frozen Grapefruit cocktail-of-the-day, and Cucumber Gimlet. Free water bottle refills and cool vibe. Service was friendly and helpful. Their own sign outside says "Kinda divey and kinda not". Fits to a T!

The Will & The Way is a small, happening bar. Careful or you might walk right past it. This is one of those bars that you need to be looking up for the sign. The place is small. They have bar sitting/standing. And a few tables in the courtyard, which by the way is where the restrooms are. We sat at seats that faced the wall/chalkboard/menu. This place does have a happy hour so make sure you ask about it. The drinks were good but it was a bit too crowded for me and too loud. But hey it's a bar with a great crowd so try it next time you are in New Orleans.

The food was spot on and the drinks were fun. We sat at the bar, so didn't see the patio or other areas. The service was top notch.

This was a last minute choice because the rain kept us from going too far. I am so glad it rained. If I lived here I would eat here ALL the time. We sat at a nice couch area in the back and the ambiance was great. We ordered at the bar, the bartender was attentive and efficient. But the food stole the show. The Korean fries were AMAZING!!!!! I wanted to go back the next day for more. We also got a burger and I was skeptical when he said it was a smash burger but it had so much flavor and was so juicy that I didn't mind. If you have a chance to eat here I highly Recommend it.

A tucked away restaurant/bar with an unassuming entrance but incredible food and cocktails. Really loved the ambience! We sat inside but there was a beautiful courtyard out back with table service. Bartenders were quick and friendly. So good and a great way to get out of the chaos of the French Quarter.

We were looking for a place to get a drink and a bite to eat, found this place after being turned away from other places for being a party of only 2. Can't rave enough about it. Drinks and food were toe curling delicious and the service was fast and immaculate. We got to dine in a small little corner which added to the charm of the place.

You have to look for it, because it's easy to miss... and that's a good thing! Therefore, you can practically have a private courtyard for your cocktailing pleasure! We were the only " tourists" in this place. I would absolutely describe this locals only joint as a hidden gem! If you are looking for an excellent respite, I would recommend to sneak in, grab a refreshing cocktail and pimento cheese charcuterie, and you will be in heaven! 5 STARS

The Will & The Way is one of the few bars in the French Quarter open late serving food other than typical southern dishes. After placing your order at the bar, it's open seating. There's a small patio in the back if you'd like some fresh air. I had the chicken wings and burger with fries. The food was okay, nothing to go out of the way for.

Happened upon The Will and the Way last night and what a find. The sidewalk sign says DRINKS in big letters but the name of the establishment is much smaller. Don't pass the place up. A seat at the bar is entertaining and if you get the chance sit here. In addition to the bar seating there is a high rail bar along the wall and in the courtyard. The place is dark, moody and loud . The busy but attentive bar staff take both your food and drink orders. And oh my the food is delish. We enjoyed the charcuterie board, Brussels sprouts, grilled Caesar and Hamburger. All three score a 10. This is a very good place to visit.

ORDER AT THE BAR Went in for a late night bite on a weekday. The place was not busy but inside seating is limited. The bartenders were friendly. If you don't sit at the bar you need to go up to the bar to order. It was annoying to witness the bartenders letting people know as they entered and then seeing the people disregarding it then wondering how to get service. I ordered The Will & The Way Burger and Double-Crunch Salt-n-Peppa Wings. The red wine foie gras butter really makes the burger. The butter makes it absolutely delicious. They never asked how I wanted the burger cooked so it was well over the temperature I prefer. The wings were nice and crunchy but without a true sauce, they were lackluster. Overall, the burger is definitely recommendable and hopefully you can request your preferred temperature.

order at the bar and sit wherever you like. the cocktails made fresh in front of you. strong. nice. dr manhattan if you want sonething straight to the point. i came for the chicken liver pate. it did not disappoint.

It's a rule for me that if I travel to the south, I need to get some pimento cheese. When I searched for a place near the hotel with pimento cheese on the menu, the Will & the Way came up. This is a small, neighborhood bar in the French Quarter with a laid back, casual atmosphere and intimate seating to meet for a drink date or hang out with friends. They offer an assortment of drinks and some small plates for food, including my pimento cheese that was delicious, served with homemade saltines that were very crispy if not a little on the salty side. They played a nice indie soundtrack and the bartender engaged in friendly conversation. If I lived locally, this would definitely be a regular hangout of mine.

One of the few places open on the 4th, cool atmosphere, good music and cool staff. Water was warm, drinks were stiff, long line. Seated near the bar, food was not the fastest to come out but server was great. The burger was juicy bread was tasty, cheese was gooey but the patty was bland. 2/5 Fries were good but the meat put was overcooked and lacked flavor. 2/5 The Panang Curried Califlower had some kick, great taste generous portions. 5/5 You should go, experience the atmosphere and try a drink.

This place is such a cute vibe!! Stopped by for food and drinks on a Monday night. There was a small intimate crowd definitely a cute date night spot. We had the brussel sprouts and double crunch salt-n-peppa wings. And honestly, the food was not good. At all. I love Brussels and these did not do the trick for me. The sauce was tasty but overall didn't have much flavor. The wings on the other hand were extremely salty. Unable to finish them, salty. The best thing here by far are the drinks. Thus-4 stars. I had the Saint Luke and my partner had the We Are Groot. Both drinks were 15/10! I will definitely be back with a full stomach for the drinks!

The bartender was great, staff was great. My cocktail was great. The food though didn't meet the expectations of the prices. We split an app (wings), he got the chicken, I got a burger. I got one cocktail, my son got a mocktail. About 100 bucks. good food, not great pricing

The Will & The Way has the best little selection for a quick happy hour and even a gluten free range of options. They brine their fried chicken and it is unique. Great for a little cocktail and a bite! The service is great in the dark bar setting and the vibe is unique and chill.

The ambiance and the food are amazing. I came to this place and my first impression was that it was a bar! And yes bar but the food was amazing. Small in size but feel you up. The service was fun, and the writer was friendly. Interesting place to see tamales on the menu, Overall I would stop again, the food is amazing, the place is interesting overall great place.

This spot is more intimate and small than most of the spots in the French quarter. Drinks have more of a craft feel. The food is a little confused, the menu has all kinds of items with no real theme. All in all nice to stop for a drink, but wouldn't stay for much more than that.

LOVE this place. It's a low-key, cocktail lounge kind of vibe. If this is what you're going for - definitely recommend stopping here. Drinks. Great cocktails - hand crafted and poured just for you. Unique menu with cool flavor combinations and concoctions! I personally recommend finding a spot at the bar and watching the mixologists make drinks for everyone. Food. They have a small menu, but it's mighty. Great shareable, and great full plates, as well. You order at the bar and someone will bring your food out to you. Space. Smaller and more intimate - both inside and outside in their courtyard. If it's nice out, I highly recommend grabbing some seats in their courtyard!

Unassuming spot that I feel deserves a Michelin star. The service was above par for starters. The cocktail menu was so uniquely original while still being unbelievably delicious. Being in the industry I thought I've tried it all, then I walked into The Will & The Way. I only ordered the chicken wings but by the smell of everything coming out of that kitchen I'm sure I'd devour it all. Chicken wings must be mentioned again because they were double dunked making them extra crispy and came with the most exquisite Vietnamese sauce that truly took the meal to the next level. I'll be back, that's for sure!

Super friendly staff and a beautiful interior. Seating at the bar or in the courtyard where heaters make your stay more comfortable. Food was tavern fare so not a huge number of options but an overall decent experience! Not your general "NOLA" fare but delish all the same!! Tasty nibbles enough to carry us through a long day of walking and exploring! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a quick bite.

I can't really speak to the ambiance here, because of the food that I received from them I ate next door at Peychauds. They will very politely deliver while you sit cocktails if you order online from a specific part of the menu. I do wish the chicken pate had been a little more interesting, but the pickles and the spiced saltines were absolutely delicious and we demolished all of it regardless.

This place was out of this world good and can't wait to go back and try the other small bites on the menu. I had the burger and gochujang marinated strawberry with pistachio butter salad. Everything was on point the bun melted into my mouth with a little charred smashed hamburger patties. Drinks were very good as well and amazing service

Stopped here bc of the reviews. Ordered the GF salt and pepper double crunch wings and the Korean Hot fries. Both were delicious. Even my fiance who does not eat GF loved the wings! The crunch was so good!!!! I asked they change their gloves and the bartender relayed the message. I did not get sick that night or the next day. This is the first vacation I didn't feel crappy.

Just half a block removed from the raucous extravagance of Bourbon Street, Toulouse Street offers multiple oases of surprising serenity. The Will & The Way is one such venue. Upon entry, we were immediately bombarded by some sort of blaringly loud, scream-y music. The kind where you have to lean over and yell into your companion's ear to be heard. However, once we made our way past the bar and out the back door, we were greeted with ample patio seating, pleasant greenery, and relative quiet. As a bonus, we got to experience firsthand one of New Orleans' many hidden architectural features: the enclosed courtyard between a primary residence and its historic enslaved people's quarters (we'd only learned about these domiciles during our walking tour of the French Quarter the prior day). This establishment appears to run pretty lean on staffing. We quickly realized there was no host and no table service. The two fellows working behind the bar stayed plenty busy, taking food and drink orders, slinging cocktails, and cashing out tabs. I recommend assertively positioning yourself in clear line-of-sight to either bartender and having the patience of a saint in order to be served. We ended up snacking on the pimento and saltines, a meat pie, and the enticing burger featuring a foie gras butter. Unexpectedly, the standout dish ended up being the Natchitoches meat pie. I couldn't tell you what's in it, but it was crusty, steamy, savory, and served with a delightful house ranch sauce that rounded out the experience. Of the three cocktails we sampled (a boulevardier, Colette's secret, and anime club), I found their version of an espresso martini to be the most interesting. Overall, I found no fault with their execution of food and beverage. Sure, I'd go back to The Will & The Way if I'm in town again and someone invited me there. During our five-day stint, we found several more compelling watering holes I'd be more likely to reprise.

The was a hidden gem in the French Quarters. I arrived late into NOLA and didn't want to eat at the junk food places that were still open at that time. I used Yelp to find this place which was highly rated. As mentioned in other reviews, the outside signage is small so I took a photo of the front entrance. We got in right before they stopped serving food and I was so happy about that because the food was AMAZING!! We ordered the Korean loaded fries, crispy brussels sprouts and blackened caesar salad. I could have not been happier... I was in food heaven! SO MUCH FLAVOR! And the Glitz & Glamour cocktail was so delicious and beautiful with its gold dust on top! I learned about a new almond liquor in this cocktail that I had never tasted before called "orgeat" and I am now a huge fan :) The bartended was also very nice. We had a great night and it was one of the highlights of our trip.

I brought my sisters here when they were visiting from out of town. We wanted to eat near Bourbon Street - but two of us are vegetarians. This was the only menu I could find that had vegetarian friendly dishes or anything that my sister or I would eat. I've been here previously for cocktails, but not food. At first I was a little worried because it doesn't look like a restaurant inside, and the tables in the courtyard aren't exactly ideal. It's counter service rather than table service, too. But the courtyard itself is gorgeous and evocative. The cocktails and food we ordered were absolute*chef's kiss*. We were super happy with everything, and it came out fast. We shared sweet potato tacos, Brussels with fried eggplant, house made pimento cheese and chips, green curry with scallion pancakes, and an awesome pickle plate with green tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet onions, and radishes. I can't remember which cocktails I tried, but they were perfect--and I'm a cocktail snob. There is very limited seating. We were lucky to come here in spring when it's pleasant out in the quarter. Next time I might come by myself or with just one other person and sit at the bar inside. But this place will definitely stay on my radar from now on.

This bar is very cute with a nice outside courtyard in the back. There are patio tables in the courtyard for larger groups. There's a high bar against the back wall as well, so a good number of seats available. They have happy hour from opening (3pm) until 5pm, so umm, I guess you gotta get here before the work day ends! Also, there's no snacks on the happy hour menu, just drinks. I ordered fries, which was $9, and bees knees, which was was $11. The bartenders were friendly. Oh, and I would not recommend the bathroom :/.

This place is right in the heart of the French Quarter, but feels like it could be anywhere in Europe! The ambience is absolutely lovely and definitely in drastic contrast to Bourbon Street. The drinks are fabulous, and they even have mocktails, and the food is incredible. We got a bunch of items to share and they were all fantastic. The place is small, but the service is great and quick!

At The Will and The Way, I indulged in a delightful drink that had me absolutely captivated. Pairing it with a bowl of pho, I found the dish to be satisfactory, though I wished for a bit more seasoning to elevate the flavors. However, it was the drink that truly stole the show, leaving me thoroughly enchanted. With its intoxicating blend, it transported me to a realm of pure bliss. While the pho may have left me longing for a touch more seasoning, the drink alone made the experience worthwhile, leaving me eagerly anticipating my next visit to The Will and The Way.

The food was delicious, we had the burger, wings and empanadas! Very tasty and their own frosty. From the moment you walk in the staff address you it was a cool place!
