THE WANG Taichung NTC Branch

The food was excellent, with standout dishes like the Wagyu steaks and Iberico pork chops. We were especially impressed by the starters, salads, soups, and delicate desserts. However, the lighting was dim due to some defective bulbs?. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.

Wonderful eating experience. Service and food is very good. The aging beef is lovely.

Excellent service by the staffs from the very beginning to the end. Interior design is very fancy, but I like the large amount of fresh flower in vases. Three set meal price tiers available, a la carte too. Nothing really stands out through out the course but reliable quality since it's a chain brand. What bothered me was that they are ironing the table cover sheets right next to my table, they probably don't have a prep room? Parking redeemable from the lot next door.

I wanted to give 5 stars but they screwed up things. The place was awesome atmosphere and great location, however we were disappointed with the service and the quality of meal. For the price, around 3700/ person, we would expect better service than this. The waiters(waitress) looks like young students who were been processing educational cooperation. Obviously, they were less experience to serve in a high-end restaurant( I can’t even hear the introduction for every dishes). For the meal, the A5 wagyu was excellent, but the other steak(New Yorker one) was a bit over cooked. I wish I could give a better review as the A5 wagyu is tasty, but overall there are many things need to be improved. I may not re-visit as Wang Pin, same Corp., steak gave us more valuable experience than The Wang in my opinion.

It was ok. Great atmosphere and elegant interior design. However, we had a hard time hearing the servers when introducing the course…and their chefs seemed to need more training to make the meals come out in a timely fashion (we arrived at 5:45 pm and left at 9:30, and spent most of the time to wait for our dinner). Overall it was 6 out of 10. For us, it was $5000 per person.

Stumbled across this place from another excellent Hakka Restaurant. Decided to come here. Impeccable service. Lovey food. Dried aged steak. Must try the t bone. Lovely decor. Not too dark like many other steak houses I have been to in New York SINGAPORE and london. Would highly recommend this place. Will most certainly come here again when I come back to Taichung

Never thought that Wang group can dive into fine dining with quite a good result. We really enjoy the food, atmosphere and of course the branded service. One thing surprised me is there wine pairing is professional. Looking forward to our next visit.
