"The Walton, Little Italy by Sid Lee. New to the neighbourhood, it’s fast becoming a weekly haunt with the locals - we come here at least 3x a week. In the mood to grab a paper or novel and have a coffee? This is your place. Fresh pastries and nibbles from The Tempered Room? This is your place. A drink and some food with a new or longtime love? This is also your place. As soon as you walk by you’re struck by the quaint and homey white exterior, and serenaded in by the jazz and swing music softly playing. The Walton just transitions so beautifully from morning to night, with an interesting list of delightfully potent cocktails and interesting charcuterie options. Must eats: Skagenröra, The Rosethorn, Coster’s Lost Wallet."

Recommended by a friend. A good freaking friend, because this place was everything. If I can be romantic for just one second; sitting in this bar was magical-it was a flickering moment, a still life of ambience, it was making a beautiful girl smile, it was timeless - it was perfect. The lighting was surreal. Across the way, the Royal Cinema brought us back to American Graffiti, a glimpse of the 50s through a sepia filter. It truly is "the most adorable bar" in Toronto.

Charming location, quiet in the mornings, perfect for starting your day with a hot cup of coffee or tea. BUT...don’t plan to be there at 10am: you’ll end up waiting in the freezing cold for at least 10 more mins, till they finally open. Also, though they say they accept credit cards, their machine doesn’t really work, so be prepared to have cash on you.

The back patio is the kind of space you want to linger in. They have a lovely cocktail menu and some small dishes that are good to share. My server was very friendly and responsive.

The Walton is one of those places you might miss if you don’t already know it’s there. The entrance is lovely but unassuming, the inside is on the quieter side (as far as bars go!)...but walk on through to find a VERY pretty patio. Drinks, food, and service are all very good. Lovely ambiance and delicious cocktails! I love going before or after a film at the Royal across the street. The food is good, but I find it overpriced for what it is. I haven’t tried anything on the food menu that I have found amazing. The staff is friendly and the clientele is usually laid back and mature. I always love to stop by when I’m in the neighborhood.

I came in here to kill time while waiting for someone to finish getting their nails done a couple doors down and what a great decision it was to try this place! Pastries are delicious and tea selection is wonderful. The place itself is absolutely beautiful and the service is top notch. Will definitely be back here to try their cocktail offerings. Love that this place is around the corner from me!
