"You and Bingo killed it at Griffith Park today, and now you both need some cold water and a snack. The Trails sits at the base of Griffith, and is the ideal spot to recharge in a low-key atmosphere if you want to avoid the brunch chaos of Los Feliz. This is essentially just a walk-up window in a little cabin, but the menu is surprisingly good. Get the avocado sandwich." - brant cox
"A local favorite after a hike, Trails Cafe is an outdoor stand tucked at the bottom of Griffith Park near Fern Dell. Featuring hardy homemade treats (shout out to the their pies), a killer avocado sandwich & coffee to match." - Sallie Harrison Design Studio
"You’re starving after walking up to the Observatory, but the last thing you want to do is try to find parking again in Los Feliz on a Saturday. Good news - Griffith has its own little order-at-the-window cafe at the bottom of the hill. And while it’s not the best food on the Eastside, The Trails is certainly the most convenient after any Griffith outing. You’re going to want the turkey avocado sandwich or vegetarian chili or one of their excellent muffins (if the blueberry banana is available, get it)." - brant cox
"Three hours of unshaded hiking while the sun seared the back of your neck has rendered your body immobile. Sit yourself at The Trails, Griffith’s tiny order-at-the-window cafe right off Los Feliz Blvd. with simple, good food and excellent baked goods, plus a quiet patio perfect for icing knee-caps." - jess basser sanders, amy clark, brant cox
"While The Trails Café in Griffith Park is a bit out of the way, it's the perfect pit stop before a hike up to the Art Deco observatory (and its sweeping views of LA). The avocado sandwich is epic, particularly when enjoyed at a picnic table among the trees and string lights."
