"It’s not uncommon to book a restaurant for the view. Pot Luck Club—set in a warehouse-like space on the top floor of an old silo at the Biscuit Mill, with wraparound views of the city and mountains—is that restaurant. But there’s plenty more to enjoy about a meal here. The menu is heavily influenced by Asian cuisine, so you’ll find dishes like fish sliders with miso mayo, Jerusalem artichoke with miso pumpkin seed pesto, and seared tuna with tom yum broth. Local flavors, like springbok tataki and Cape Malay crispy cauliflower, are well-represented, too. The plates are all small and meant to be shared, and it’s a good place to bring a group of friends for a fun night out. " - mary holland
"Community organization Welcome to Chinatown is hosting dinners with six neighborhood restaurants for Lunar New Year. Half the reservations for the event series are live and are kicking off with an event at Pot Luck Club on January 25." - Emma Orlow
"The Potluck Club sits on top of one of the tallest buildings in The Old Biscuit Mill complex in Woodstock and has some of the best views of Table Mountain from any restaurant in the city. The menu is inspired by the small plates of this and that that you’d typically find at a potluck, like fish tacos, homemade bread with babaganoush and garlic chips, and crispy squid with sweetcorn and nduja sausage. It’s buzzy and fills up fast, so definitely make a reservation in advance. " - Brigitte Cave
"In Cape Town my go-to is the Pot Luck Club: delicious food and beautiful views."
