The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai

Had an amazing stay here! Had a complimentary room upgrade upon check in and the hotel also accommodated my request to check out late. Room is spacious and clean. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Every hotel staff I met were very polite. Hotel is situated between Jing A Temple station and Nanjing West Road station, about a 10mins walk to both. Will definitely stay here again if I come back to Shanghai.

There are two Ritz-Carlton hotels in Shanghai (I was told that there will be a 3rd one in Shanghai soon). The Portman Ritz-Carlton is the earlier one, and was one of the earliest skyscraper in Shanghai (opened in 1990). It is located in central Shanghai, next to Shanghai Centre in the Jingan district. It is also in one of the culture center of Shanghai. High quality shows are frequently played in the theater of Shanghai Centre.|Our family stayed at Ritz-Carlton with access to the executive lounge. We were impressed with the impeccable service that we were experienced during our stay. Staffs we have encountered, including the front desk staffs, the executive lounge staffs, and the executive chefs we encountered, are especially courteous. Five meals are served at the executive lounge around the clock, including the breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and late night snack. The executive lounge is always not crowded, with ample staffs to cater to the need of the guests (frequently offering to bring you the food/drink/etc..) Some of the highlights of the executive lounge offerings are the pan fried mini-bun, xiao long bao, sushi, fresh cooked shrimp. The afternoon tea offering and the desert are especially elegant. |Overall, we had a great experience at the Ritz Carlton.

Portman Ritz-Carlton Located in the heart of the city, I was warmly invited by Sunny from the PR team to experience a festive afternoon tea. The newly launched afternoon tea set was not only delicious but also a feast for the eyes! Each dessert and snack was beautifully crafted, making it perfect for photo moments.||The hotel’s ambiance was warm and cozy, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed chat with friends or a charming get-together with your girls. Under the soft, glowing lights, the entire afternoon tea experience felt even more romantic and inviting – a place you’d never want to leave!

The staying here is very comfy so far. The staffs here were all very kind and helpful from the very beginning. It’s overall a great choice for the holiday season, not too busy and away from the traffic even in the middle of Shanghai. And Wendy is a great housekeeper, she’s there for everything you need :)

Had the pleasure of staying in this fantastic hotel in early November. Location is good and what's most important is the excellent service. I have stayed in many hotels and this one stands out above the rest in terms of their services. From the time of check in, they are efficient and accommodating and makes us feel very welcomed. Their thoughtfulness and kindness has also left me a deep impression. When problems arise, they are quick to attend to it and address the issues from different aspects, e.g when the hairdryer in my room was not working, they sent the electrician to check on the appliance while housekeeping sent a new hairdryer up straight away. The team has put in a lot of effort in all the small details during the stay making it both pleasant and very comfortable.

The hotel itself is nice. Friendly staff, very tasty breakfast, wonderful gym, good area. The rooms are a little bit old fashion, not quite up to date, and if your room is close to the elevators it might be noisy.

I checked in at the RC Hotel SH Portman through the company visit. The hotel has a strong Christmas atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly. I praised Andy, the doorman, for helping me carry my luggage and help me find the flight information! He is very kind, thank you! I hope the hotel will get better and better.

Very conveniently located for work but also in a great part of the city. Service is excellent here and staff are all very warm, welcoming and attentive. Rooms seem a little dated but are comfortable and suitably equipped.
