We had a fantastic experience at The Poke Box! The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and we loved how customizable the bowls were. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our bowls were perfectly balanced with a variety of choices. The portion size was generous, offering great value for the price. If you’re in the area and craving a healthy, satisfying meal, this is the place to go!

Google
I got the Sun Soaked poke bowl and it was delicious. This was my first time having a poke bowl, but I would have requested to leave out the pea shoots. Quick service, get there before noon if possible to avoid the lunch hour rush.

Google
Love this poke spot! Everything they have is super fresh - love that you’re able to build your own bowl but also have preset bowls.

Google
Love this cute little place for poke bowls. The staff is really great and they make some amazing recommendations. The portion size is very generous for the price and they have a variety of options. The packaging is also very practical.

Google
This place resembled Subway, where they make your dish right in front of you but is much better than any sandwich place like Subway or PitaPit. Their food was fresh and tasted great. Their staff were few but friendly. The restaurant was cozy but with little seating. The place was not busy when we got there but I would recommend putting a table or two in there in the empty space at the front of the restaurant. Although that may be for waiting customers, I think putting an extra table or two would be more beneficial. Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a try, whether it be for a quick bite or dine in.

A chance encounter led my boyfriend and I to The Poke Box, and I must say, it was a delightful discovery that left our taste buds tingling with satisfaction. I opted for the signature Poke Box. Fresh ingredients meticulously layered atop a bed of rice, each bite was a burst of vibrant flavours that danced on my palate. From the succulent seafood to the crunchy veggies, every component harmonized perfectly to create a truly delicious dish. Meanwhile, my boyfriend indulged in the Lava Blaze, if memory serves me right. I had a couple bites myself as I couldn’t get enough of the flavour. Portion sizes at The Poke Box are commendable, ensuring that hunger is kept at bay without compromising on quality. The balance of flavours in each bowl is a testament to the care and attention that goes into crafting these culinary delights. Overall, The Poke Box earns a solid 4 out of 5 stars from us. Whether you're a poke lover or a curious newcomer, it's definitely worth a visit for fresh flavours and generous portions that will leave you craving more!

Google
Food was soo good! One of the best poke bowls I had! The sauce and everything came together so well. Will definitely be returning. I got the Lava Blaze, so fresh and love the spice.

Been coming here for years, but just started writing yelp reviews. The best poke bowl in Toronto, in my opinion, and one of the best in the world (I’ve been to Hawaii, where it originated from, and still think this is amazing). Food: 5/5 - I get the lava blaze every Monday or Tuesday and it is fantastic. My personal spin on it is having it with grain blend, take out the orange fish eggs and replace it with seaweed salad, as well as take out the fried onions and replace with green onions. It is fantastic and I never get sick of it. Service: 5/5 - The workers are nice and very efficient, because the place gets super busy. Awesome folks! Ambiance: 5/5 - It’s a take out spot, so there isn’t really an ambiance, but it is a nice vibe of a place! Feels like a poke food truck but that’s in a small store. Overall: 4.5/5 - I give it a 4.5/5 only because it is a bit pricey. $18 for a bowl after-tax, however, they really do use good quality ingredients.

Yelp
Customizable poke bowl sizes, reasonable prices, lots of topping options. For some reason the person behind the counter spoke really quiet so I couldn't hear. There is very limited seating inside, this is more of a takeout spot. They are very generous with the sauce here so you may want to ask for it on the side. Overall not bad

Yelp
If you like poke - you won't be disappointed here. Great prompt service if you need a quick bite + solid portion size. You can either choose from one of the preexisting options or build your own poke bowl. There's a decent number of various toppings and sauces to choose from, all fresh. And it's not overly expensive either - definitely give it a try!

Manny L.

Yelp
Fresh, delicious poke. The ahi tuna was buttery, and the overall meal was super light and healthy feeling. No seating inside and the place was super crowded for a Tuesday at noon. Service was fast and efficient, price was fair. Would return again and highly recommend.

Jerry L.

Yelp
Perfect lunch spot. Service is quick and they provide a huge portion of food for a decent price. I like to create my own small box with a mix of tuna and salmon on top of their grain blend. Easily customizable and overall fantastic.

Cindy D.

Yelp
I ordered the big umami bowl during a time where they weren't busy (2:30ish) and so I got the bowl made right away. I saw that they were giving out pins for free and I did take a look at it for a bit longer than I should have. The worker noticed and said something that made me laugh haha. The bowl was delicious. I am definitely used to the already marinated poke from Poke Guys but this place is the deal!! I enjoyed every bite of it during my break and I would totally go back and get the same type of bowl again. It is at a convenient location but the hours are really limited (11:30am-3:30pm). Overall, very yummy bowl and friendly staff.

Kristina W.

Yelp
Great poke! Generous portions of the toppings & fish. There are 2 options large or regular size. They make your bowl in front of you. We were tired & ready to go back to hotel, so we did the quick bowl recipes on the wall. It's a small place, no real place to eat in, only 2-3 chairs inside. It really is a to-go place.

Gayan P.

Yelp
Nice poke place tucked away down a pretty quiet street. I picked it because of its rating on yelp high. I can confirm that everything was fresh. I created my own bowl and it was delicious. The service was great as well. Though you can't walk right up next to the counter because of covid precautions, the server walked me through it well and answered all of my questions as I made my way through the multi-step process. It all came out to be a very reasonable price too. So, I really can't say anything bad about The Poke Box. Great place to grab lunch. I always feel good after a poke bowl, filled with ingredients that are good for you.

Samantha C.

Yelp
Fresh ingredients, quick service, friendly staff, generous portions, and a handful of options on the menu! The Poke Box was so delicious! I was super happy with my salmon poke bowl. Everything in the bowl blended so well together! There's no seating though! So it is really a take out only place.

Jinzi H.

Yelp
If I could give this place an 11/10 I would. Their bowls are huge and they fill them up to the brim with so many toppings. And the toppings were so fresh and tasty. I made a build your own large with salmon and crab salad and it came up to under $15. Not only it was huge and tasty, this price is such a deal!

Celina L.

Yelp
I got one of their signature poké bowls, The Poké Box! This small franchise is definitely my favourite Poké place! I absolutely love crab salad and imitation crab they used in this bowl. Everything blended together so perfectly with a savoury marinade of shoyu sauce. I give this place a 10/10, but it's gotten pretty pricey.. I would say the large is SUPER filling but you can always save some for later! = reg ($15.3) large ($19.5)

Maya J.

Yelp
Great place for poke! Ingredients are consistently fresh and portion sizing is good. There can be quite the lineup on weekdays during lunch, but the staff work exceptionally efficiently and are very kind. I like to create my own bowl, and there is a good selection of proteins/bases/toppings. Will continue to come back!

Emma H.

Yelp
Sad to post this, but this is the worst poke I've ever had. Not sure if it has to do with staff changes since the latest reviews were from November, but it's a no from me. Got the Signature Poke with salmon and tuna portions. Normally I read a few pages of Yelp reviews before making a purchase, and a lot of people pointed out that the regular size is enough for lunch because they are really generous in packing the box full and that the box is larger than other places. They also said this place is very fresh. However when I got my poke box it was just half full, and the pieces of salmon and tuna were tiny compared to the large cubes other places like Mihito and Hoki Poke. Also, the box is definitely of the smaller sizes I've seen compared to other places in Toronto. The zucchini noodles were soggy and the salmon and tuna did not have the fresh, mouthful, umami taste; doesn't seem like sashimi quality fish. I asked for spicy mayo on the side and the ratio is off; the spiciness overpowers the mayo and that overpowers the already bland proteins. The roasted sesame sauce had little flavour and the other ingredients were all very watery that I could not differentiate between the various supposedly unique flavours. I was excited to try a new place but was disappointed by the taste and delivery. Might have been just my experience, but I am reluctant to come here again.

Kelly L.

Yelp
I wanted to try a new poke bowl place so I came across this one. Hidden in a back street but not too hard to find. Ordered through the app and created my own box. First impressions: the portion is HUGE! Which I loved even though I didn't finish it in one sitting. It consisted of fresh ingredients (not gonna list it all because I barely remember what I put in there) but from what I remember, I had rice, salmon, mushrooms, avocado, tempura bits and some other things but it was all very balanced and tasty. Will come again!

Rochelle C.

Yelp
Delicious, fresh, large portion, and reasonable pricing. Can't go wrong with anything from this poke shop! Love the variety of toppings especially crispy ones.

Susan S.

Yelp
I've tried Poke at a number of places in Toronto. The Poke Box has become my favourite. Their portions are overly generous and they offer lots of options. They service is consistently efficient and friendly.

Suor K.

Yelp
I had a craving for sushi. However, there is a lack of sushi options in the downtown core. Yelp recommended the Poke Box. Although I'm not a huge fan of poke, it was close enough. I walked into a narrow restaurant with a long line-up. There are a few places to sit here, but most patrons order to go. On the wall are various options. You can choose from one of their signature boxes or build your own. I decided to order their signature poke box. Although the options are pre-set, the staff asked if I wanted other toppings. I asked to add corn and dried seaweed. The poke bowl was delicious. I enjoyed just about everything that was included. Unfortunately, it didn't really satisfy my sushi craving. However, the Poke Box was one of the best poke I've had in Toronto.

Jo-Anne L.

Yelp
I love their zucchini noodles :) This is a great poke spot if you're looking for something fast and not super expensive. Portions are good, ingredients are fresh and tasty, and they don't skimp! It's definitely a take-out place though, since they have literally only 4 stools squished together at a long table. On the other hand, this means that you can grab your food and get out extremely quickly (in the times I've went at around 1pm, there was no line). Staff are nice and efficient; everything is well organized. Would come here for my regular poke fixes :)

Jennifer K.

Yelp
The Poke Box's poke is the 4th poke I ever ate, so I am not really an expert. But I enjoyed what I ordered. As a spicy lover, I of course opt for their Spicy Box ($11.90). I was hoping that I could try some Zucchini Noodle finally and be healthy but sadly they were all out at 2 pm!! So I just loaded up on my favourite Sushi Rice! Check in using Yelp App scored me a free avocado topping! (+0.5 star)

Natalie C.

Yelp
Several colleagues have been consistently getting lunches from The Poke Box - got to see for myself what the hype is about! I ordered the "poke box" (regular size) which contains both tuna and salmon as the proteins. I added a serving of avocado (it just makes everything taste better) and opted half zucchini noodle and half grain blend. This is my first time having zucchini noodles so I really didn't know what to expect (e.g. is it raw, blanched, steamed?). I ordered via Ritual to avoid the lineup (plus you get a first time order discount!). Once I dugged into the bowl, I understand why my colleagues keep going back! Even though, the tuna wasn't high quality, the proteins were fresh. The topping salads (tropical slaw, seaweed and crab salads) were well seasoned. The zucchini noodles turns out to be raw (didn't know you can have zucchini raw...), but I won't mind getting it again. Depending on what kind of base you get, it can be a very filling lunch. It's a bit pricey to be a having it multiple times a week for lunch, but the price is comparable to other poke places downtown. I would totally order from The Poke Box again!

Alex L.

Yelp
Awesome Poke place. My wife and I were a little hangry after laying around and missing breakfast on a Saturday afternoon and ended up here. I chose the quintessential poke special with crab, tuna, seaweed on a bed of brown rice + edamame. So fresh and so good! All the fresh food is laid out at the counter. With Yelp check in as of July 2017, you got a free avocado add on which was appreciated. A large Poke Box is around $14-15CDN, but definitely a ton of food. My only qualm is I wish they put just a tad more of the raw fish protein in there. I found it just a tad out of balance, easily fixed by being a little extra generous with the fish. Not a lot of seating here, definitely more of a whole in the wall, but delicious and recommended!

Mouna P.

Yelp
One of my friend suggested me this and it tastes different. I like it and would prefer trying it again

Yunny H.

Yelp
I ordered this spicy crab stick poke box through Ritual for $1 during the $1 lunch week. It was super good deal because I got to try this amazing poke that was packed with delicious fresh toppings: crab stick, crab salad, seaweed salad, edamame, cucumbers, crispy onions, jalepenos, and drizzled with spicy mayo and sweet unagi sauce! The poke box looked small but was pretty filling. The decor inside is pretty neat, small table with around 4 seats. You can also customize and build your own too~ Spicy Crab Stick Box - $12.60

Danica C.

Yelp
This is my second visit after last happy experience. I decided to build my own Poke box. Base: half blend grain, half zucchini (thanks Yelpers' advice to try the zucchini noodles.) Protein: tuna +$2, Sides: crabmeat salad, seaweed, Mix in color: corn, kale, beetroot, Sauce it: roasted sesame, Top it: everything. Add: one scoop of avocado for free from Yelp check-in. It costs $13.5 + tax Regular size looks small but actually quite filling. Ingredients were very fresh and all favours mixed well together. I wish it's cheaper but at least it is a filling, healthy meal in Toronto downtown.

Jenny L.

Yelp
First time trying this place and went off the recommendation of one of the workers (who were all kind and sweet). The spicy salmon poke is so good! Everything was so fresh and complimented each flavour so well. The regular size is already big too so it fills you up. They have other options as well if you don't want sushi rice. Something different they have is zucchini noodles for when you want more veggies and something lighter, It was so good, I had to write a review. I'm definitely going back to this place and highly recommend!

Noelle M.

Yelp
Nice lunch spot. Convenient and quick if you're downtown. No seating and the menu is at a weird angle when you're ordering. Good ingredients and portions, though!

Katherine A.

Yelp
This has to be one of my favourite Poke spots in Toronto! I ordered the Tuna & Salmon bowl (5/5). One of the unique things about this place is that they allow you to do half and half mains (White rice, Black Rice or Zucchini Noodles). They also provide a decent amount for just a regular so you're definitely getting your money's worth! If there's something you want to substitute due to allergies or preference, just ask, they're happy to add in something else! When you get to the toppings you have a decent selection to choose from with no extra cost!!! (If you check in on Yelp, redeem you're free avocado topping). Did I mention how friendly the staff is? Served us with such delight and joy, made the experience much more enjoyable. Everything about this place was great, will definitely be back sooner than later!

Matthew H.

Yelp
4/5 Maybe I've just been really into Poke bowls/boxes lately but this was quite good. Visited on a Friday night, around 6:30 pm. It was just before closing so it was pretty quiet (one person was just finished when we arrived) and being located on a small street, this is somewhat of a hidden spot. Ordered the large super food box with salmon. The servers are friendly when asking your choice of base and the additional toppings (got some wasabi peas and seaweed). Since there was no one else there, me and my friend decided to sit in, although with 4 seats total it is mainly a takeout spot. Overall, the box was light and fresh, with the salmon, avocado, and seaweed salad being the standouts for me. The rice was not too sticky and I was decently full by the end of it. The thing that is stopping me from giving a higher rating is the price point - at 15.50 for the large super foods box, it is on the high side and compared to my friend who got a regular size (12.00) , not quite worth the price premium. Still a nice option if you're looking for a quick poke option with quality ingredients.

Stephen C.

Yelp
Ordered through Ritual just before noon on a Friday, definitely a great way to skip the line. Great portion of base, sauce, salmon, and salads, but could use a few more tuna chunks. Limited seating available, so take-out is highly recommended. Service: Given that it was lunch time on a Friday, order took 15 minutes but that's reasonable. Order was ready for pick-up as I ordered through an app, pain-free experience. Customizations were also all done correctly (sauce separate, half zucchini noodles and half grain blend, seaweed salad instead of crab salad). Food: Sauce was rich but a bit plain in flavour, and the grain blend was a bit too filling. It was similar to the purple rice served in Korean restaurants. Fish was definitely fresh, and zucchini noodles provided a refreshing balance to the bowl. Seaweed salad was good, would definitely recommend customizing the bowl to the way you like it! Overall: Excellent serving that is relatively healthy for fast food, would come back if I'm ever in the area!

Michael L.

Yelp
Brightly lit room. Minimal decor. White walls all over. Some interesting options, such as zucchini noodles. Haven't had a noodle base before. Tuna, Salmon, and Tofu for your proteins, along with some "daily special" options. They've got your salad toppings, variety of sauces, and garnishes to finish it off. Wasabi peas and seaweed salad to name a few options I enjoyed. You get everything packed into a box, as the name suggests. Disposable chopsticks, forks, and spoons are available on the side. Chopsticks are not inside packages.

Stephannie L.

Yelp
This was the first time I tried a poké bowl and it did not disappoint. This restaurant serves the food in relatively large containers compared to other poké places. I tried the spicy signature box which included Salmon, crab salad, seaweed salad, scallion, jalapeño, edamame, cucumber, unagi drizzle, spicy mayo, wasabi peas and crispy onions. It was very tasty Nd I would order it again. I came here during my lunch break around 12:30pm and it wasn't too busy. Most people took their food to go whereas we decided to sit inside. Keep in mind that seating is limited. Probably around 5 seats.

Robert H.

Yelp
This is my go-to-place to satisfy my Poke cravings. I've tried many other Poke places downtown (Calii Love, North Poke, Su&Bu, Fish'D, etc...), but nothing comes close to the quality and quantity of the Poke Box. My favorite is the Poke Box special, which comes with both Salmon and Tuna in a light roasted sesame sauce. The chunks of sashmi are always fresh, and depending on if you get lucky, the tuna sometimes includes chunks of the slightly fattier toro (although not always). They also have dark purple grain nice, which is a slightly healthier alternative to regular sushi rice. The seaweed salad here is also amazing, with a nice crunch. A large box ($16.40) with a side of avocado ($1.50) and a scoop of masago ($0.65) comes to just under $21 after tax. So slightly pricey for lunch, but for the amazing quality with enough quantity to fill me up, I keep coming back!

Mei M.

Yelp
This is my favorite Poke place in Toronto hands down. This legit rivals the Poke I had in Hawaii (home of Poke). Despite it being a small store stowed away on the side street with pretty much no seating here's why it's still 5 stars: 1. The fish is freshly marinated and flavoured and it was delicious. 2. For the base, they have zucchini noodles (which were DEEEELICIOUS, legit I have to get a spiralizer now) and purple rice. You can even get a combination of the two! 3. They have interesting toppings but they don't go overboard with it unlike some of the other Poke places. So the star of the show is still the fish. I am going to need to come back here every time I have a Poke craving. The only down side is that they close so early!

Stephanie Q.

Yelp
The Poke Box knows how to take Poke to the next level. Its better than any poke that I've had in NYC. Even though its a tiny hole in the wall, it gets packed during lunch time. Don't forget to check in with Yelp to get free avocado. First, you can choose the size of your bowl, then you can choose the base. I had half rice and half zoodles. I've never seen zoodles offered at a poke place, its good if you are trying to lose weight like me. Then you can choose your protein. I had the tuna (which costs a little more). Then you can choose the sauce for your tuna. They offer a whole lot of toppings- furikake, crab salad, seaweed salad etc. All the toppings were delicious. They have a variety of sauces too- I decided to go with spicy mayo. I don't even live in Toronto but I need to come here more often for the poke box!

Monica H.

Yelp
This is the only poke bike place I've tried, but it's one of my go-to lunch places around my work! It's a little pricey at around $15 a box, but the portions are huge! It can easily be two smaller lunch portions; however it's not recommended to save it for later because it tastes 100x better right when you get it. I always make my own box - you get to pick your carb, 2 sides, type of protein, 2 veggies, sauce, and you get unlimited toppings! I always ask for the seaweed salad and crab meat. The crab meat kind of tastes funky but it's the only other side I'd choose from their list. So I usually ask for more seaweed salad than crab meat. Maybe I should just ask for two seaweed salads next time... The salmon is always fresh! My favourite is the unlimited toppings...when I eat in store and finish half my bowl, I ask for more of the toppings and they happily oblige. If you check in, you get a free scoop of avocado too. Make sure to do that! The store is quite small with about 5 bar stool seats against the wall. If you're eating with a friend I'd recommend to eat elsewhere as the lunch rush can be quite busy. This place will always be a lunch favourite!

Vince L.

Yelp
Pretty good place for a quick bowl. Still not the same as the ones in Hawaii obviously. A bit disappointed on the size and quantity of fish. Also lacks variety. It was also a bit strange how my wife's bowl seemed larger than mine even though they were the same size. Oh and keep in Mind they only have seats for around 4 people. It's a Takeout joint

Ashley Y.

Yelp
Looove the poke served at this place, especially with the free avocado topping you get from the yelp check in offer. I built my own regular sized poke box which was surprisingly quite large and filling. You get to choose two sides, three toppings, and unlimited sauces/extras. For the sides, I tried the seaweed salad and the crab salad - the seaweed salad portion was huge and flavourful while the crab salad tasted like imitation crab and quite underdressed. Definitely trying the tropical salad (seems to be a mix of mango and pineapple) next time. TIP #1: If you're thinking of getting the spicy salmon box, build your own box instead. They're both the same price ($11.50), but you get 1 extra side with the build your own box and can even build it with all the customizations that come with the spicy salmon. TIP #2: The line moves fast! I came at 12:30 on a weekday (prime lunch time in the financial district) and there was AT LEAST 20 people in front of me. Keeping that in mind, I was still able to place my order and pay within 20 minutes of getting there, which works out to be 1 minute/person due to their highly organized assembly line structure. Overall, this is the place to be if you're craving poke. I love the fresh ingredients and large portion sizes, and appreciate how I can customize my poke on a variety of bases (purple rice all the way!!)

Jasmine L.

Yelp
YELP TIP: check-in for a free avocado add-on!! I absolutely LOVE poke so this place has been on my radar to try for a while. I do want to mention that I love fruit in my poke, but the options here are practically non-existent. But man, Poke Box truly does nail the savoury poke flavours though! I got the Spicy Salmon Box with a rice base to-go. There were lots of seaweed salad and it had the best crab meat salad I've ever had (actually tasted & felt like crab, unlike the other artificial stuff). The entire poke bowl wasn't overdressed, the sushi rice was on the chewier & firmer side, and the fried onions was an awesome touch. Definitely coming back to try their zucchini noodle base!!

Rachel S.

Yelp
I visited Toronto recently and decided to try out a poke place downtown with good reviews. The Poke Box was decent, but nothing spectacular. They gave a good quantity of food (I couldn't even finish the regular size) but I didn't care for some of the add-ins. I ordered the Spicy Box, and mom had the (namesake) Poke Box. I found the seaweed salad too flavorful, and I generally never like imitation crab meat. Mom was thoroughly unimpressed (it was also her first time trying poke). I did enjoy the sauces they used, as well as the crispy onions. Overall, the flavors were a bit too overpowering. Service was quick and the servers were very friendly. They were very willing to recommend additional ingredients to add. The storefront is a little difficult to access if you aren't using GPS (pretty much our situation). We thought the place didn't exist until we happened to look down the small street the store is located on. The store itself is pretty cramped, and there is only a small bench indoors with a few tall stools. It seemed to be more of a takeout place. A decent experience with decent poke. If I visit Toronto again, I probably won't be coming back here.

Kim J.

Yelp
Simply delicious, my fellow Yelpers. I've ordered the spicy salmon box and on both occasions I've been completely satisfied. Heads up: it's a zoo between 12 noon - 1 PM. I ordered once using Ritual and it wasn't ready when I got there - but it was understandably very busy. Portion sizes are good and it's on the pricey side - but you get a good quality meal in a square box. My first time trying poke and thanks to The Poke Box it won't be the last.

Gordon L.

Yelp
I received an offer on Ritual to try this so decided I would. I'm so glad I did but if I ate this regularly I would run out of money! I opted for a large Signature Spicy Box which was delicious. Instead of sushi rice, I had the zucchini noodles which were very refreshing with the ingredients. The salmon was fresh and the portion was filling. It wasn't too busy when I arrived right at noon but there were at least a dozen other boxes for ritual orders so they were going to get busy soon. Recommended!

Sherry L.

Yelp
I ordered the large Poke box for $16 and it is definitely enough for two meals. It is made with tropical slaw, seaweed salad, crab salad, cucumber, edamame, red onion, roasted sesame, ginger and furikake. The highlight of the poke box is the tuna and salmon sashimi. It is fresh and the portion of fish is perfect. The best thing about this poke place is that you have a choice of which option to select as your base. You can pick sushi rice, grain blend, zucchini noodles, or salad. For people who are avoiding carbs, the zucchini noodles and salad are a great option. The seaweed salad, tropical slaw and crab salad are perfect sides to the fish as they are not overly dressed and compliments the sashimi and base very well. I normally order through ritual to avoid the lineup during lunch time, but the popularity of this poke box place is also high during dinner as there are many taking orders to go. You can also customize your own bowl and they will charge by a base price (Regular $11.50 and Large $15.00). Depending on the ingredients you add, the price will increase or decrease. For example, if you pick Tuna as your protein, the cost of the bowl will go up by $2, but if you pick tofu or crab, the cost of the bowl will decrease by $1.

Yelp
If I had to choose one meal to eat for the rest of my life, it would be the salmon poke salad from The Poke Box. So refreshing and so colorful, it makes me feel like I'm eating an entire meal of superfoods. One of their signature boxes is actually called Super Food, but I like to do the BYOB (Build Your Own Box) option include all my favorite veggies. My BYOB box of choice includes: - Zucchini noodles. These were so amazing that I went out and bought my own spiralizer to make zucchini noodles at home, much to my husband's chagrin. Much more to his chagrin is that I occasionally call them zoodles just to mess with him. - Salmon - Seaweed salad - Crab salad - Cucumber - Corn - Kale - Sweet Garlic Soy - Avocado! This place is very small, so it's more of an order and take your lunch to go type of place. Also, there are stairs to climb in front of the entrance, so it's not stroller or wheelchair accessible. P.S. At the time this review was written, I got a free scoop of avocado every time I checked in on Yelp. Score!

Sarah S.

Yelp
A great place to stop by for lunch or after a work out! I stopped by 20 min before closing time and the ingredients were still really fresh!

Minh S.

Yelp
Poke. The lunch box sushi combination of choice for hipsters everywhere. Let's get down to it: Pros: + good selection of choices in boxes. + big variety of toppings for your box. + fish is really good. + layout is nice and clean. Cons: - sushi rice is too dry for my taste. That's a deal breaker. - only 3 types of fish available. That's it! Overall not bad, but the rice is dry and that hurts my feelings.

Yelp
Ordered the regular size poke bowl with additional crispy onion and spicy mayo. The price is about $16 with tax. Overall it was good, the fish is fresh and the side combination is healthy and light. Will return to try out other dishes.

Yelp
Actually one of the best poke places I've been to I guess what stands out for me is the zucchini noodles, however it's really not that hard to make! Small place on Toronto st. Near Rosewater if you're accustomed to the place on the Thursdays. Generally a nice place to grab your lunch. The have four chairs that would be good for sit on if you decide. It's more of a take out place. Tofu - it was roughly $11 and if you check in you get avocado as well!! . My friend got a salmon/tuna bowl and it was pretty good as well Overall, i found the place pretty average like all the other poke bowl/healthy bowl places except they had a zucchini spiral tool which enabled them to make "zoodles". I would recommend going if you have nowhere else to go around; but definitely better places and better for the price nearby.

Yelp
Was visiting the Hockey Hall of Fame and looking for something healthy to eat. Found the reviews and this place was a short walk away. It did not disappoint! Friendly staff, fresh/delicious food. Fortunately for us the weather was dismal so there weren't many people there around 1pm and we were able to snag the 4 counter stools, which is all there is for seating. There's a regular and a large box. The regular is enough to feed an adult and the large was enough to share between an adult and 10-year old. We ordered a Maui box and 2 custom boxes. There are plenty of choices for your custom meal that I can't imagine someone not being able to find something they like. The only thing we weren't sure of was the sauce but they give you a taste of it if you ask - we liked the garlic soy! The fish was cold and fresh, the vegetables were nice and crisp, and it was all around delicious. Been to another poke place in a major US city famous for its seafood and this place was much, much better. Don't forget to check-in on Yelp to get a FREE topping of avocado! YUM!

Yelp
Tried Poke Box on a week night for a quick dinner before going to an event. This is one of the many poke competitors available in Toronto as it's the current trend and is filling and delicious as well. Food (3/5) All the boxes are made to order and you can choose either their signature boxes with preset items or an option to build your own box. I chose the DIY route and opted for salmon over the grain blend. The salmon wasn't of supreme quality but I didn't expect it to be. The grain blend was a purple rice but there are other options such as sushi rice, zucchini, etc. I chose the crab salad and seaweed salad but was disappointed by the saltiness of both. To top off, the staff recommended a mix of the sweet garlic soy and citrus ponzu. The sauces were both subtle so it's hard to comment on whether it's necessary or not. Service (3/5) There really isn't much to write about as this is a 'fast food' option. The girls working were both very patient and were ready to offer suggestions as it was my first time trying this place. They were quick to acknowledge each customer and service was quick and efficient. All in all Poke Box was not a standout compared to all the other poke options around town. My favourite at the moment will still be Ono Poke by Exhibition.
