The Peech Hotel

This was our first trip to South Africa. The hotel is beautiful and quaint. The staff was very accommodating and eager to meet our needs. Arriving, we had a late evening flight and they were very generous in keeping the restaurant open so that we could have dinner. I will say, the pictures of the rooms are certainly cropped to make the rooms appear more spacious. We stayed in the 2 bdrm villa and although it was adequate and met our needs, it was in no way as spacious as the pictures tried to depict. Additionally, the front desk sold post cards. We decided to purchase a few and address them to family back home. The hotel advertised that they provided the postage & mailed them back. None of us or those we addressed the cards to received them. While I certainly hope this was a mishap, considering no one received them, that seems unlikely and more like a racket. Overall, our stay was fine, staff was great and we enjoyed our time in Johannesburg.

We stayed one night at the Peech after safari, and before our journey home and it was the perfect place! The rooms were really nice and the staff was friendly and helpful! We had both lunch and dinner, and breakfast the day after - all was good! The weather was unfortunately not good enough for using the pools but the they looked nice. We had a walk in the close-by park, and then a 20 min transfer to the airport.

We had a great 3 night stay at the Peech Hotel in Joburg. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious, well equipped and the bathrooms have great showers, bath tubs with good pressure water system. We had a very nice breakfast during our stay, very much appreciated the a la cart options. Every member of staff is welcome and polite making the stay more enjoyable. The hotel has a partnership with a nearby gym which has superb equipment and a large swimming pool. It’s a great move for the hotel to do this rather than the standard tiny hotel gyms you usually are confined to!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at The Peech Hotel! The location was absolutely ideal—very central and easy to access. Being just across the road from a beautiful park with padel courts and plenty of people walking around made it feel vibrant and welcoming. Our room was a standout: freshly decorated with high-end finishes and a thoughtful layout. One of the highlights was the attention to detail for our 2-year-old. In addition to the standard cot, there was a baby bath and a thoughtfully prepared bag of toys and books. This kept our little one entertained for hours and made the stay so much easier for us as parents. The food was delicious, and the service was both friendly and efficient—every interaction felt warm and genuine. We highly recommend The Peech Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and family-friendly stay in a fantastic location. We’ll definitely be back!

Our room was beautifully designed—modern, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed with all the amenities one could need, it felt like home! A standout feature of our stay was the on-site restaurant, which delivered an unforgettable culinary experience. The menu was exquisite, offering a range of expertly crafted dishes that showcased fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether it was breakfast @Peech (Oscar and team), or dinner @the pot luck (great, knowledgeable team enjoyed the wine), every meal was a delight, making the hotel’s dining a true highlight. The impeccable service, warm hospitality, and charming ambiance made our weekend at The Peech Hotel nothing short of amazing. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this boutique gem is a must-visit. We will definitely be returning!

Good overnight stay at The Peech! The staff were exceptional; very attentive and made us feel at home. Whilst the staff and hotel design and amenities were faultless, unfortunately the AC in our room was noisy and made inconsistent noises during the night which affected our sleep quality. A shame as otherwise this hotel is fabulous.

Wonderful hotel that I would visit every time I’m in Johannesburg. It is a beautiful property which feels like you’re in the middle of a lush garden. It gives the perfect balance of privacy while still being so close to the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms are gorgeous and fully equipped. The food is delicious! And the staff are the kindest most helpful team.

Really lovely place! The service was great. The people were so kind and helpful. They didn’t let us lift a finger! The restaurant is delicious and the location is very convenient. I just wish the room lights were a little brighter as it was hard to pack in dim lighting but other than that, fantastic.
