This neighborhood dive bar is a treasure! The staff is incredibly hardworking and friendly! Karaoke nights are a blast and the pool tables are an added bonus! The happy hour prices are the best on the block!

They treated me like a nuisance, even though I was one of the only one making the bar turn up on karaoke night and kicking me out as if I was a fugitive and treated me horribly. This place sucks and it’s exactly what you can expect from a dive bar in Texas. As a local this is one of the last places I would ever recommend to anyone who is looking for a bar to have fun at from out of town. Worst karaoke nights in DALLAS!

The name does not lie. This old box o’ brick’s has been slingin drinks since ‘03. They do keep your card when you open a tab, which blows, but also another reason to come back for last call after you realize you forgot to close out and see a rather collective crowd of personalities. Darts, pool, bartenders who work their a$$ off, karaoke on Wednesdays. YA KNOW WHAT YOURE GETTING AT THE OLD CROW

Old Crow is a good bar. Service was quick on a Saturday night. Drink selection was good in terms of tap beer, liquor, and canned options. For someone from out of state it was nice to see a White Claw for the first time in Dallas. Staff was excellent and dealt with the intoxicated and loud crowd with ease.

This is my favorite bar that I always go to, BUT TODAY, the old man w glasses kinda chunky, DENIED ME. He said I didn’t look like my id and it was me!!! And he has literally served me before so idk why he wanted to act brand new.

It was all fine until they started judging you when they don’t know you. I found that the bartenders were acting stubborn and judgmental. Holding drinks over your head and feeling empowered. The food is awful and their attitude was rude.

We literally got Jell-O shots that are premade and didn’t tip because we left as soon as the we got them and the bartender yelled saying thanks for the big tip in such a condescending way while we were leaving. We didn’t get any service I’m not sure why he thought he needs to be tipped. Disgusting

This place is amazing! Great bar for cheap drinks, pool, the best Jell-O shots, and darts. Showed up on a Tuesday with 14 friends and michelle took the best care of us! Can’t wait to come back, it’s always a good time!

I was here with a group of my friends at 1:55 on Saturday, August 24th & my friends (celebrating our friend's 28th birthday) were called "toddlers" from the bartender who proceeded to dump our drinks out after making them & refused to serve us because we all wanted to be on one tab & couldn't hand her our ID's fast enough. This was our first stop of the day so quite disappointing & unfortunately not sure if any of us will be coming back (we are frequent goers) because of the terrible experience we just had. So sad!

While visiting in Dallas, had the hankering to play some darts. Haven't played in years (and it definitely showed). Came here with some friends because they remember there being dart boards. I don't drink but they enjoyed a couple beverages while they beat me in darts. (I swear I used to be better). Bartender was nice. Place was definitely a dive bar. My main reason for 4/5 stars was because of the smell in here. It was overwhelming to me. I can only describe it as old wet dirty mop mixed with cleaning chemicals. Every breath was reminder how nauseating the smell was. Nonetheless, we had a fun time.

This is definitely a dive bar, but it was perfect for what we wanted. We played some pool, and there were people playing darts. The bartender was nice and helpful! They have a good selection of liquors (we had some deep eddy lemon shots and shots of fernet). They didn't have lone star light which was unfortunate, but we had red and survived. If you're looking for a place to drink and shoot pool for a few hours, this is a nice spot.

Truly, I could not describe a worse experience. I was here with a group of friends for my close friend's 28th birthday celebration (around 1:45 on Saturday August 24th) - we were all so excited to go to her favorite bar to kick start the day. The bartender (a red haired lady) refused to serve us after we ordered drinks at the bar and called us toddlers when we were all 25 or over. I am not sure if she was having a bad day (still not an excuse to behave this way) but she just ruined our entire Saturday. If you want your Saturday ruined please come here, otherwise avoid at all cost! We (and everyone we know) will not be back to this "establishment".

It's a bar. Im honestly laughing so hard at the negative reviews of this place. It's astonishing to me that anyone thinks this establishment gives a fuck about yelp reviews. They don't. You want a drink? Here's a drink. The end.

If there was a 0 star review I would give it... from the drinks to the food to the service it was nothing short of a sub par experience. This is the kind of place I would take someone who has never experienced any kind of place who values them or anywhere close. The food, drinks, and ambiance were nothing short of a hole-in-the-wall experience and something I would never come back to.

Most overpriced shot of Jameson ever. $13.50 for a Jameson on the rocks. I have other dive bars I can visit. Sorry

I would have totally given this place 5 stars for karaoke night on Wednesday's alone. But I had to knock a star... keep reading for the tale. I honestly have only come here for karaoke night but it's SO much fun. It's old school and everyone has a blast. There's a lot of regulars. No one is afraid to be crazy and have fun with it. Tunes range from Don't stop believing, to No Doubt, to Usher, to high school musical. The pool and darts make it casual fun, so no need to wear anything but jeans, but prepare to have a ton of fun! Tonight though, my bar service sucked! My friend and I both got Dallas Blonde beers, and she got charged $6 while I only got charged $4. It took forever for me to get served, and while it was busy, I felt blatantly ignored. I'll definitely be back for karaoke but I hope my service is better next time!

I just saw a review says that this place does not care about yelp reviews. Well, it is fine by me that they don't care, but I want to share my experience to other people to consider before giving this place a visit. Firstly, the thing that bothers me the most is their customer services. I don't think the employees take care of you or even be nice you, tbh. WORST SERVICE EVER Secondly, I have a few drinks here, it was not bad but kinda expensive. I guess the place is located in Dallas so it makes sense that their drinks are overpriced. Thirdly, there is no parking available (this is not their fault) but I saw some of the employees throwing things at other cars so I couldn't risk parking in the restaurant area.

Authentic. Old School. Down & dirty bar. Great karaoke host on Wednesdays. All types and people here. Like the scene from the StarWars cantina. Great drinks and service. Come here if you need a REAL bar. I think I'm in love with the bartender... she's married and not interested. I also think it might be located on top of a portal to another Universe.... Wait,,,,,,Yes, it is.

This karaoke man is lame. He literally performs songs himself. Like dude never gets BJs and he takes it out on the rest of the population. Like bro take your pussy ass voice off the list and prioritize your customers. Other than that, great bar. Also could make a recommendation for dry shampoo if karaoke man is interested. HMU.

The old crow was a amazing place to hangout any day of week. Awesome selection of drinks. Service was also super fast. Staff was excellent and attentive. Loved the music played and still was able to have a decent & clear chat. Reasonably priced and also grab a snack with a drink purchase was a rear thing to see in the bars around in Dallas. Went with my wife to greenville & ended in Old crow. We enjoyed our visit. This is our new place to hangout on greenville avenue.

security comes out being rude and just grabs the beer from my sisters hands and still doesn't want to give a refund . he's screaming for us to leave . he thinks he can just kick people out because he wants . not friendly environment

Me and a friend come here every now and then cause he likes the vibe, But there is one bartender this blonde chick who just has the stankest attitude i ever smelled. Like straight up every time i go in there she has a problem with something. Its not charming at all., Like we were at the bar waiting and had the audacity to yell at us and tell us shes not walking over there to take our drink orders. So we walk over to her, and she proceeds to help everyone around us. After waiting maybe 7 mins which isnt long, she says what do you want? This happened days ago but i promised myself id leave a review. Also side note when ever i ask other people at the bar about her they usually have nothing nice to say as well

We really liked this place a lot. The atmosphere is laid back and completely unpretentious. Loved the fact that they have Lakewood Temptress on tap. Bartender was friendly and nice guy. Lot of TV screens if you want to watch sports. Pool tables, juke box, what more do you need? Will return for sure.

This bar is very chill. Two pool tables. Two dart boards. Cheap drinks. 4 TVs. I like the vibe. They even have a vending machine for when you're ready to munch. It's laid back and welcoming. I wish there were more pool tables but beggars can't be choosers.

The female manager tonight was beyond disappointing. She supported the doorman PHYSICALLY ASSAULTING a female patron in our group. ADMITTEDLY, we had a beer left in her purse from a happy hour earlier that we brought on the table to drink. Not acceptable - we admit that without hesitation. The female manager asked the doorman to remove us from the bar. The doorman walked to our table, said nothing, grabbed the ARM of a 90 pound girl, and tried to physically pull her from the table. When we asked "what is wrong. What did we do," the doorman responded, "Are you trying to start a fight?" When asking to speak to the manager after this all occurred and emotionally shook our entire party of 12, the manager did nothing but shrug her shoulders, merely said, "yeah he shouldn't have been as aggressive," and continued to serve her patrons. We asked her to have the doorman apologize to our friend for being overly aggressive - she refused. It's shocking, in the world we live in today, that she would support a physically abusive doorman just to help her bar tab and make sure she didn't lose her liquor license. Disgusting and pathetic. She should be ashamed of herself.

If you are looking for low key and some Jell-O shots, this is the place to go! Great prices, Jell-O shots were stiff, and I liked the atmosphere! Dark and dingy, just how I like my bars!

Ok, I dont usualy do this but this place deserves a one star. There is a reason bars like this are getting run out in this neighborhood. The woman behind the bar on 4/19 couldnt have been more rude. No crowd either. What a hole. Terrible place and wont be back.

This is one of my favorite bars on Greenville Ave. The size is perfect for what they offer and they have both large and smaller tables, which was convenient because we were in a larger group. They also have two dart boards and a pool table where you can pretend you're awesome even though you might suck like me. On the night we came, the atmosphere was great and it wasn't too loud. It was juuuuust right.

I love the song Wagon Wheel so i was pumped for this!! Cool bar with a neat atmosphere!

A relatively clean divey bar with decently priced shots. If that's what you're doing for the night. Which we were.

Legit used to be my favorite bar to go to, used to go all of the time...I went into the large bathroom stall with my one girlfriend because that's just what girls do and the female bartender came in to the bathroom and accused us of slimy drug in the bathroom stall and then asked us to only have 1 person in the bathroom stall at a time...legit have never done a single drug in my life and am an occupational therapist for kids...legit get drug tested once a month. It was very disappointing that we were accused of fling drug in a bathroom stall because my girlfriend and I decided to go in to the bathroom stall together. I don't understand how they determine that? It just sucks, because later two other girls went in to a stall together and they were not questioned.

Awesome bar. Good atmosphere. The jukebox is quite fun. We had some fun putting dollars in. This bar has a lot of character. Very long bar the bartenders were quick and it's not pretentious here. People are very real here. This is a place to get a cheap drink. Didn't notice the smell others mentioned.

SHADY, SHADY, SHADY... If you keep a tab open, make sure you ask for an itemized receipt. Bartender fumbled around when our tab was more than we expected. We got a paper "guest ticket" with our drink totals... not the amount, just the numbers. When I called it out, the bartender made the "happy hour" excuse. After asking again for an itemized receipt, she came back with a printed itemized check that dropped the tab by $23 and of course an "apology."

This is our spot! Love this bar. It's just grungey enougjh for our liking. Bartenders are always cool af too. Basically if we go to lower Greenville we start the night here.

This place SMELLS clean. I love it. But I put 6.75 into their jukebox and I never heard my songs. I'm sad. :(

Came here Saturday night as the last stop on a celebration for a recently graduated friend. One of the more crowded spots on Lower Greenville, the music is loud and the wait for the bar is long- but that's to be expected because drink prices are reasonable and there's a fun, casual vibe at the Old Crow. Get to the edge of the bar as close as you can and make eye contact with a bar tender. There's a decent selection of craft beer here as well, which was surprising and there were no lines for the bathrooms which was even more surprising. There are pool tables, although I have no idea how anyone can stand playing pool while dodging all the people. We had a great time, will be back.

Stay away!!!! Very unprofessional staff & the middle age girl bar tender needs to look for a new job. Why be in that Industry if your that unhappy killed my duzz! & I was also charged the wrong amount. No biggie, calling my back and get it fix. Anyways so many new better places around the area. The Old Crow is a staple in my diet of Lower Greenville bars. Like all the other bars on Greenville, it's got beer and liquor. What sets it apart from other bars is that the crowd always seem to be really laid back people, and not the wanna-be pimps and hos that you get next door at Sugar Shack. These two bars are night and day. Another feature that is quite enjoyable about The Old Crow is their huge front window. You can sit at a table and watch all the passing females in their absurdly short skirts, and general Greenville mayhem. We saw a pretty entertaining fight through these windows Saturday night, and everyone enjoys a good drunken Greenville brawl. They have a jukebox that is of the newer style, but the selections are OK, so I can't really complain. We easily spend $5 on it. The bartenders, especially Mindy, are funny, friendly, and observant, and a good bartender will draw me into a bar every time. Also, the graffiti in the ladies bathroom is a good read. I saw this on my last visit: "Camel Toe Girl - U R so brave to wear your flower on the outside :)" Be Proud OR Be Comfy OR BOTH!!"

The bartenders here are by far some of the coolest in Dallas. The atmosphere is laid back but still fun. Drinks are fairly priced and strong. Arcade games, pool table and great juke box. If you are on Lower G-ville and don't know where you're destined, check this place out! I may be the girl at the bar eating the whole Gville Ave pizza. I do that sort of thing.

A perfectly grungy local dive. Cheap beer, speedy service, pool tables, darts, outside seating, and a lively young crowd on the weekends. A great nightcap!

Gotta love any place you can drink a Lone Star or PBR while devouring an entire Pizza. The juke box has a great selection so you can annoy your friends with Charlie Rich's greatest hits or by singing Social Distortion out of tune at the top of your lungs. The bartenders are great and love to play dominoes on a slow night. They usually don't know how to play very well so it's easy to win. If yo get hungry head over to the Grenville Ave pizza co and have them deliver a pizza. I always remember going into this place and rarely ever remember leaving.

Great chill place to down a beer, but definitely wouldn't spend an entire night here. Even on a Saturday night, there's not to many people in the big bar. The bartenders are super chill and very nice, which is definitely refreshing. Watch out for splinters on the wooden table and chairs!

Nice venue great location very expensive beer. 4.24 for a pint of Lone Star is kinda ridiculous I know the rent is high but damn. Restrooms are disgusting. It has a dive bar smell which I like. Just not the dive bar price.

One of the best bars on lowest Greenville. I go every Wednesday night for karaoke and the service and atmosphere never disappoint me. The bartender there on Wednesdays is also on my short list of best/most friendly bartenders in the city, and that is a HUGE compliment. The only thing keeping this place from 5 stars is the lack of beers on tap. Not that I'm one to complain about bottled Shiner Blonde Light or PBR cans, but it is one things this place is lacking. That being said, I forsee spending many a Wednesday night there as long as they'll keep letting me sing Radiohead.

I'm not a person who does dive bars much, but for a dive bar I give the old crow a thumbs up. I like that fact there are plenty of tables all around. If you've been crawling on Lower Greenville sometimes you want to sit and the Old Crow will not let you down. The drinks are reasonably priced and even better they are not watered down. The front of the bar kind of dark, perfect for telling secrets or lies to a stranger. If you looking for fun and games they are in the back, pool tables and darts and some more light and even a little room to dance if the mood hits you. All in all it's a really good place for a big group to drink, laugh and people watch. I would definitely stop in the Old Crow again.

Old School... darker wood, Lower Greenville bar. I went in early in the day and some regulars were already at it. I killed a bloody mary while waiting to get my hair cut and found the place interesting in the daylight... perhaps you really shouldn't ever see a bar on Lower Greenville in the daylight? I noticed an odor when I opened the door... this seems to be common with older wood bars and may be hard to deal with. Is it the plumbing? Is it the smell of over indulgence? I can imagine this place full of happy drunk people at night and will likely come and see for myself sometime soon!

I've loved this bar for years. And I have been so happy it was still standing with all the gentrification in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, I came today with my best friend and the bartender made it a point to insult the homeless and then insult us for trying to be kind to a wonderful woman in need. The moment he referred to her as a "stray cat" I swore I would never come here again. Thanks for the memories, Old Crow. It's been real.

Probably my favorite go to spot in Dallas, The atmosphere is great, really good people. The bouncers are all really cool. The bartenders are amazing!! We enjoy playing pool while we are there.. Definitely a 5 star place!!

Interesting place not as lively as I had hoped... although it was rather chilly. Younger crowd with cold drinks

Overall it seems like a good place with good customer service. The staff was friendly and a lone star bottle was $3.75 and it has pool tables, a vending machine, and other stuff. Seems like a fun place to chill at when it's busy or with friends.

I use to like this place. It's not the same by far. Whole new staff, and...not the Greenville I once knew. Sad.

I frequent this lovely establishment often and I have had nothing but delightful experiences. The staff is very inclusive and enjoyable to be around. If you are in lower Greenville and like dive bars, this is the one to checkout.

I've been reading the reviews for this and maybe I went on a bad night? It was definitely poppin in here which is why I went in, plus I like divey chill bars. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. We sat up at the bar for 20 minutes and were never greeted or asked for our drink order. We left & ended up at the libertine bar instead....if I ever decide to come back I'll update my status, but my 1 star remains because I believe that in every establishment your patrons should at least be acknowledged and that's always a deal breaker.
