I was planning to save all my reviews until the end of the trip so I could give each place proper attention, but this experience honestly required an immediate review.
The restaurant itself is very cute and beachfront, which is what initially drew us in. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
The staff seriously lacks transparency. We were asked if we wanted tequila shots, and I specifically said we’d each have one shot of well tequila. What we were served turned out to be $40 USD per shot, with no mention of the price beforehand. That feels incredibly misleading.
On top of that, the restaurant allows multiple outside vendors to walk directly onto the property and approach tables, which made the experience uncomfortable and disruptive.
At the end, tipping was handled poorly as well. We were asked if we wanted to tip 20% or 25%. We said 15%, and the server responded with, “Oh, 18%?”—despite clearly understanding English. It felt pushy and disrespectful.
Overall, while the location is nice, the lack of honesty, aggressive upselling, and uncomfortable atmosphere make this a place I wouldn’t recommend. Be very cautious and ask for prices upfront if you decide to visit.
