The Modern Tour - Palm Springs

I took this tour for the first time in 2016. I was so impressed with it that when I had guests from out of town visiting, I took it for a second time last November with my guests. I have to say even a second time it is one of the best tours I have been on. Michael's commentary and knowledge makes it a real treat. Even the second time around there was very little duplication. My guests and I had a wonderful time. If you love modern architecture and want to see inside some spectacular places, this is the tour for you. I highly recommend it and wouldn't be surprised if I do it again one day.

For any lover of mid century modern architecture and design this tour is a must. To see and go inside homes I had ogled in photos online was a surreal and truly amazing experience. This tour has the access to the iconic homes you want to see and the knowledge of and passion for the period. The best part of my trip to Palm Springs and would recommend to all mcm lovers visiting Palm Springs. Anyways, I need to move here now!

This tour is a must for Palm Springs. Michael is so knowledgeable about all things Palm Springs and modern aesthetics . The tour was over four hours and we saw some of the best!

Amazing tour if you are into mid-century architecture. Learned new things about Palm Springs and the three houses we visited (inside and outside) on the tour were gorgeous. Michael did a great job. Highly recommended.

Michael did a wonderful tour of some amazing houses! We especially enjoyed seeing the interiors of these incredible gems! I highly recommend the tour to anyone who has an interest in architecture !

What made this tour special was that it allowed for a look at the interiors of three modern homes from various periods. The driving tour of the various neighborhoods and the explanation of the design philosophy and how it fit the environment and history of the area were great, but we felt only by getting the "inside look" allowed an understanding of what it feels to live inside one of the homes, and why the design is so well suited to the environment. Michael Stern was knowledgeable and entertaining, and we really enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended.

I was so hesitant at first, because I booked it on the flight in to Palm Springs for the same day. However, Michael is amazing and the tour is incredible. He knows so much and shares it all with you. The best tour I have ever been on by far

An absolute must when in Palm Springs or LA! The tour is fantastic and not to be missed - Michael is an amazing guide, so charismatic and knowledgeable. To be able to learn more about how Palm springs came to be, the architecture and architects was fantastic and to actually see inside some of these stunning houses was really special. I can’t rave about it enough!
