At the Mark Hotel, indulge in globally inspired dishes in an elegant dining space that feels effortlessly refined, perfect for a casual night out.
"The modest sized serving of lentil soup is $28 at this Upper East Side ski chalet — a sidewalk shed decorated with sleds and furs and other ski chalet accoutrements. The soup is a prelude to the raison d’etre of the place — fondue — and has so much bacon it almost qualifies as a main ingredient, and the lentils are notably not mushy." - Eater Staff
"If you’re going to one of the most famous museums in the world, you might as well follow it with a meal at The Mark. This Jean-Georges restaurant serves New American standards like salads, pizza, grilled seafood, and the occasional outlier like a refreshing chicken and coconut milk soup with shiitake mushrooms (one of the best things on the menu). It’s not the most innovative place, but your fish will flake perfectly, and you can feel comfortable showing up to the old-school formal dining room in a T-shirt and shorts. "The Mark isn’t a very stylish restaurant. It’s located in an Upper East Side hotel, it has a generic name, and it’s easy to forget that this place exists. In other words, it’s perfect for Tom, who’s seen wrapping up a solo lunch here at the beginning of Season 4. You don’t need to run to The Mark right this instant, but if you wind up at this Jean-Georges restaurant, you’ll eat some solid food that lies somewhere between New American and vaguely European, and you’ll probably see someone talking in a worried tone to their soon-to-be ex-wife on the phone." - bryan kim

"Jean-Georges Vongerichten's ritzy restaurant inside the Mark Hotel is a splurge. Exhibit A: the black truffle pizza, which makes a great snack at the bar or a starter in the elegant dining room. The menu also includes steaks, light vegetable dishes, and simply prepared proteins. On a weeknight, the bar is filled with locals and sometimes a celebrity or two." - Bao Ong
