The Iron Whisk Bistro & Bar

We got there and was told it would be a 15 min wait. It was 35, but I know that's only an estimate and don't blame them. Our food came quick and my only complaint was my bagel and lox. I imagine it came deconstructed because it's more visually appealing, however, it took awhile to make. By the time I was able to eat, everyone else at my table was finished or close. That's the only part I didn't like but the bagel itself was delicious.

Great brunch spot in the heart of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail area with Dutch babies, brunch, mimosas and much more. ideal for smaller groups but can accommodate more while they shop next door at the charming vintage shop. A “must” southern Illinois experience

This place is a fantastic little spot to eat in small town southern Illinois! It's nice to find something different that's high quality. It is small, so definitely plan for a wait. We were lucky and walked right in at 10, but it filled up fast after we sat down. Definitely worth it though, all the food and coffee was high quality, we will definitely come back if we visit the area again!

Unique, DELICIOUS food and drinks, some locally sourced. Small dining room, so get there early or be prepared to wait patiently. 🙂 Highly recommend!

This is a great little place to start your day! We have been here a few times and their food is always fantastic and the restaurant is always hoppin'! We have never ran into a long wait time ourselves, but keep in mind that they get pretty busy. They are known in the area for their Dutch Baby and I usually get a variant of it when I am here. Their seasonal brunch drinks are soooo good too!! On this trip I tried their strawberry margarita. It was strong but delicious! Even though I think they are a little on the pricey side, I know that they tend to invest in their community resources and local businesses and that makes it totally worth it!! Definitely a stop if in the area.

The Iron Whisk has been on our bucket list of places to try. It did not disappoint. Our waitress was amazing. She went over several different menu options with us. I decided on the Loaded Bowl with scrambled eggs, bacon, smashed potatoes, the best sausage gravy and a biscuit. It was the best breakfast food we have had here in Southern IL. Everything was delicious, great presentation. They have a wide variety on the menu something for everyone. Definitely looking forward to going back and trying some of their other menu items.

The BEST breakfast I have had!! Benny bowl for the absolute win!! Great quaint atmosphere, friendly clean service & food to die for!! (Can I have this for my last meal please!) Soo fresh, so full of goodness! HIGHLY recommend 15/10!!
