"Opened in 1910, the Hermitage Hotel is Nashville's Grande Dame, located downtown just across from the Tennessee State Capitol. The beaux-arts structure was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2020, after which it underwent a two-year restoration. Food and beverage are overseen by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten; choose from the signature restaurant Drusie & Darr, known for its extensive bourbon collection, and the all-day café and wine bar, the Pink Hermit. In 2023, the Hermitage was a top-five finalist in the World's Best Awards." - Travel + Leisure Editors

"The Hermitage Hotel will close out its Yellow Rose Tea service this weekend. The ceremony, which celebrates the 103rd anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment and The Hermitage’s role as the epicenter of an embattled mix of pro- and anti-suffragists, includes tea sandwiches, scones, and pastries inspired by the Suffragist Cookbook, tea, a commemorative keepsake, and a yellow rose. Service is available this Sunday at 2 p.m. and is $95 for adults and $45 for children 10 and under. Reservations can be made here." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
"For more than a century, the Hermitage has been the gold standard of Nashville accommodations. The gilded entrance transports visitors to a more glamorous era of travel, while offering more bang for your buck than other downtown stays—rooms are spacious, beds are plush, and service is beyond compare. In 2020 the hotel celebrated the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment (the one granting women suffrage), which had much of its final push take place in the halls of the Hermitage before Tennessee became the state to put it over the top. That year the hotel also kicked off a complete renovation of guest rooms, the lobby, bar, and restaurant, resulting in a look that is crisp and modern but still connects to the hotel’s considerable history. The overhaul of the Drusie & Darr restaurant was overseen by Celebrity Chef Jean-George Vongerichten, who opened his first restaurant in the South at the Hermitage in 2021." - Margaret Littman
